My family and I were first-time visitors to this exclusive AYCE Sushi restaurant. After waiting fifteen minutes to be seated, a very friendly, welcoming waitress approached us and apologized for the wait. It was no issue for us whatsoever. Once seated, we were told for the first time that this restaurant was all-you-can-eat only. I explained to the waitress that my daughter only wanted two California rolls. Once again, I was reminded that this was AYCE only. No big deal, but I was a tad disappointed and surprised that we wouldn't be allowed to order À la carte. Up to this point, I haven't asked pricing for the AYCE, as I was prepared for $35.99-$45.99 per person, like most other AYCE sushi restaurants. At this restaurant, you order using your cell phone after scanning the QR code on a paper taped to each table. I scanned the QR code, and the full menu, including pictures, was displayed. I prefer ordering from any business by speaking to a live person; however, I have accepted that more and more businesses are switching to this option and/or kiosks for placing orders. We ordered five to six rolls in total and a few other items from the full menu on display. The wait time was approximately 33 minutes for our order to be delivered to our table. This was acceptable and understandable, as this is a large and extremely popular restaurant, as shown by how many guests were seated at nearly every one of the twenty+ tables and the steady stream of customers checking in and waiting for a table. As our food arrived, it looked appealing, and all the rolls we ordered were placed on one wooden tray. Our rolls were absolutely DELICIOUS!! Fresh and perfectly prepared. I truly could not believe how tasty each roll was, as each piece I had was full of flavor We made it to round two of three before we had to call it quits because we were stuffed and extremely happy with our lunch. When it came time to pay, I was extremely happy and surprised to learn that our AYCE sushi was only $29.99 per person, which is an unbelievable price. I might add that service here was AMAZING!! Between our waitress and a waiter who was also helping, they checked on us nine times. They were both attentive, super friendly, and hardworking. The restaurant was very clean and well organized, and there were four sushi chefs on two different sides of the restaurant doing their thing. The service was top-notch, and the food was EXCELLENT! The food is good and sushi always tastes fresh. They use a fairly minimal amount of rice on the nigiri, which is a plus, so I can eat more of the fish...hahaha! One of their best things is the baked mussels and to date, they are still at the top of the list compared to all other sushi spots I've been to (and there have been A LOT). They are almost always busy, (unless you come during odd hours between lunch and dinner) so be prepared for a wait. And if you do come during the busy hours, it can get a bit noisy in here, but I don't mind this at all; it just means everyone is enjoying themselves, and I'm all for people being out and socializing. My wife, 5 year old daughter and I showed up on a Friday around 2:30pm wanting to have lunch and the lady at the door told us that our 5 year old had to to all you can eat at the adult price if we wanted to eat at that time. We asked since when has this been a thing because in the past we have been able to order "a la carte" for her since she's a 5 year old. The lady then proceeds to tell us that they will have to measure her height to verify her age........ Can someone please tell me what a 5 year olds height has to do with proving at a sushi restaurant? One thing I hate is when a sushi has too much rice under the fish. Here it's nice and small so you can eat more sushi! You order through the app so it can be as quick to order as you want. Everything here is great. This is my favorite AYCE sushi place by far. I have been to many sushi places in my lifetime... and nothing compares to this place. Speedy service, friendly and attentive staff and the sushi is on point. The peppered salmon and cajun tuna are my go to items. They have recently upgraded some of the plans for more premium choices. If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out. The thing i really miss about this place is when you were finished eating everything, they would offer you a choice of green tea ice cream and another flavor (which i forgot)... but, that has been removed for sometime. Came for dinner and we understand a table for a large group will take long but waiting the time was inaccurate! Too many times they said almost time and we waited for so long! When we were told a table was ready, they let us scan the QR code to order, but it wasn't clear if we can have more than one phone ordering since it too some time to order and ask everyone too. Once we got our table, we had to send our carpaccio order and miso soup to the servers. It is only 3 rounds of orders, so once we send our phone ordering since through its a 10min wait. They will charge for uneaten sushi so be careful. We got so much peppered salmon and that was so delicious. The carpaccio was good as well but took a while to get. The galbi and mussels were amazing, I could eat so much more! Shrimp tempura and mixed tempura were crispy and light. The tempura sauce was ok, not much flavor. The fish to rice ratio is amazing I'm glad there isn't so much rice! No rice sushi was great, mostly spicy but I was able to handle spice level! After two years of being in hiatus from Show Sushi, we (my dear friend, her niece, her niece's husband, and me) have returned with full force to have an amazing and delicious AYCE sushi dinner. It was my dear friend's treat. Thank you so much! Lucky us, AYCE Dinner A (with limited Carpaccio... one set order per person) regular price for one adult is $39.99, but is now on sale for $36.99. AYCE sushi on sale? That's a first! We'll take it. If you multiple that number by 4 plus tax and tip, it is a big number at the end! Upon arrival, do get on the waitlist if any as soon as possible. They have changed their dine-in venue to AYCE for all parties at the table including kids. Kid's AYCE price will be determined by height. I believe take-out menu still applies (togo special is 50% off any rolls & sushi plus 10% gratuity may apply). They now have some specific rules. All parties must have arrived before they seat anyone from your party. No new guests can be added to your table once everyone has been seated. No outside food or drinks are allowed. QR code must be scanned to order. Each round of order is to be sent per group not per individual with 10 minutes in between each round of orders. I guess only 3 rounds (from the past) no longer applies anymore. Leftover foods will be charged accordingly so order what you will eat entirely. Everything was fresh and delicious with the exception of the Udon Noodle Soup as its broth was slightly sweet. I appreciate the sushi rice in each sushi was less in portion than before. It would have been nice if most of the sushi rolls weren't in 8 count. I would have tried a couple of them. They do offer no rice sushi, too. Appetizer portions were perfect... not too big and not too small! You can always order multiples of each. I suggest you order one first and then order more later if you need more. Staff was attentive. Service was good and quick. Unfortunatly, no more complimentary ice cream. Bummer! Nevertheless, I would return here for more great sushi. Show Sushi is the best AYCE sushi restaurant around this area. I've been coming here 2x a year at least for the past 5 years with family. The quality of their sushi has been consistent. You get a lot for what you pay for. The menu has changed and the prices have raised. Now they use a QR ordering system that you place on your mobile phone. Once your orders get placed you won't be waiting long for your food. There's always a server available to help you. I was also confused about why they offer a regular menu if they're going to push everyone to do the all-you-can-eat option. This used to the be best, but now we are in to measuring kids to charge them based on their height, and I can no longer order AYCE for my wife and I and a la carte for the kids? Like other's have said, I'm fine paying for what my child will actually eat, but charging a 4 or 5 year old full price is absolutely out of bounds, let alone my kids, who are way over the 40" but will eat a single roll each on a good day. I was extremely excited to come here for the all-you-can-eat sushi, but unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and concerning. I ordered a couple of spicy tuna rolls and immediately noticed that the sushi did not taste fresh. I then ordered the King's Roll, which arrived completely drenched in oil. There was so much oil that I could only eat two pieces and had to use a napkin to wipe off the excess. The napkin became completely saturated with oil. I brought this to the server's attention, and he took the plate away. About an hour later, I started experiencing stomach problems. Later that night, I began vomiting, and my stomach has continued to ache since then. Based on the timing and symptoms, I believe I experienced food poisoning after eating here. This was more than disappointing it left me feeling seriously ill. I strongly hope management looks into the freshness of the sushi, food preparation, and food-safety practices at this location. read more
