A tasty lunch spot for an American-style Japanese American spot. I'm not sure how to describe it but the menu has many options not only with teriyaki but also different rolls. The price here is amazingly low. I have never seen prices so low! The only thing is that if they are busy which it seems like they will always be busy, it might take about 30 minutes to get your order. Well worth the wait! This is easily one of our go-to spots for sushi at an affordable price. They are so generous with their portions. They are also the hardest-working and sweetest people. Every time my husband and I either dine here or order pickup, we are always surprised with the amount of food. I usually get the Salmon Roll. This is the only spot where if I order a roll, they also include pickled vegetables, fruit, and two extra pieces. Because of the added items, it can take a bit longer to receive the food, but we really don't mind. They are constantly receiving phone and dine-in orders. The restaurant is small, nicely decorated and clean. There is also a flat screen tv with closed captions. There is parking directly in front of the business. This is a small mom and pop restaurant, And they make some really good food. I got their chicken teriyaki bowl, a large size and two drinks because it was kinda hot and I wanted something for later in the day but everything is good. Really good actually. The lady that works there unfortunate I didn't get her name, but she was really nice and really sweet and she even gave me some extra cookies which is just awesome. The location is ridiculously difficult to find. It's tucked away near the San Dimas' Stater Bros Market on Arrow Hwy. Teriyaki House (San Dimas) has a very plain, forgettable (almost suspicious) exterior. I was genuinely surprised when I entered Teriyaki House (San Dimas). It had a line of customers! Although the interior is very plain and dated, it's extremely clean. The tables are smooth and shiny. Despite the old marks on the walls, there was no dust or webs. The location also had an extremely refreshing strong air conditioner as it chilled the entire location. Teriyaki House (San Dimas) does not have a restroom, but each table adorn a hand sanitizer. Teriyaki House (San Dimas) had nonstop customers walk through their doors, and I noticed many people calling on the phone to place orders. They accept Apple Pay, Card, and Cash for payments. I ordered the Chicken Bento Box ($10.95) at the counter. Staff is friendly and hardworking. However, the wait is long. I waited 16 minutes and 58 seconds for my food. The Chicken Bento Box ($10.95) arrived freshly cooked. My first impression was "amazement" at the large amount of packed food. The Chicken Bento Box contained teriyaki chicken, California rolls, Fried Chicken Dumplings, Rice, Salad, tiny scoop of Seaweed Salad, Avocado slice, tiny scoop of yellow Japanese Potato Salad w/ corn bits, tiny chilled cubed egg, and many other extras. For a budget meal, there's a myriad of textures and flavors. To my immense surprise, I really enjoyed the Chicken Bento Box's Fried Chicken Dumpling. It's plump, juicy, and lightly crisp. The Teriyaki Sauce is also very tasty; it's light and not too sweet. However, the Chicken Teriyaki is somewhat dry. The California Rolls are fresh, but its filling is a little sparse so there's too much rice at times. The salad is also fresh, but it's not the greenest. Regardless, for a budget meal, it's perhaps one of the best. The ambiance is a weak point at Teriyaki House (San Dimas). There's definitely a passion and intention to improve it. I noticed that staff played instrumental classic music. And the spotless cleanliness of the location is exemplary. Unfortunately, the location is cramped, and the loud hum from the cold drink container machine is annoying. However, I am very impressed with how they managed the sauce bottles on each table. The sauces looked practically brand new which is rare in most locations. Overall, Teriyaki House (San Dimas) is easy to recommend if you're searching for the best budget food location. One of the better low key hidden gems in the city of San Dimas. I've come here a few times for lunch because the saw how affordable the prices are here. The prices are VERY reasonable and the portions would make you wanna dine here and support this business. The way prices are nowadays when you see their menu you'll be amazed to see items under $10. The menu options have a ton of variety. They offer items such as sushi, teriyaki plates, teriyaki bowls, udon, bento boxes and even burgers and fries just to name a few! They are so friendly here and the food comes out fairly quick. There's about 6-8 tables inside so it can get packed for lunch. The phone is always ringing for to go orders. No offense, We always order here once a week to go. Pre ordered food yesterday my husband went there 1/2 hour after & still waited. Food is always good even the prices were great & affordable.. The only problem is you have to wait a little longer for your food, there's only 3 people working & the lady takes orders & phone calls as well . There is a now hiring sign outside for a while, it's just sad that a lot of customers really go there to eat or order to go. I ordered Teriyaki House to-go today and I am honestly amazed by their presentation and affordable prices. I had their crunch roll for lunch and I was not expecting it to be paired with pickled veggies, fruit, two extra pieces of sushi, a scoop of egg salad, and a piece of egg omelette. It's a generous serving for about $11. I loved the pickled veggies, especially the yellow radishes. As for the crunch roll, it was 10 pieces that tasted fresh and definitely had a good crunch to it. It was so filling, that I could only get through half of the roll. While it's not the best crunch roll that I've had, you really can't beat the price and portion. I believe I originally came across it when I looked up cheap eats near me on Yelp and added it to my collection to try later. I finally decided to visit for an extremely late lunch. Located in the northeast corner of the San Dimas Arrow Plaza, the restaurant is right next to the Stater Bros. It's a bit unassuming because the entrance doesn't have a sign above it. Additionally, the blinds were lowered when I visited, but I knew they were open since I checked their hours beforehand. Inside, there was only one other person who was waiting for their order. Even though their break only ended half an hour ago, I could tell the three employees were already super busy cooking in the kitchen, probably for takeout orders since nobody else dined in during my meal. The restaurant contains a small dining area. One side of the room has a table of 4, one combined table that can seat 6, and one table of 2. On the other side of the room, there are three half booth tables that can seat 4. Each table has napkins, soy sauce, and Sriracha along with flowers. There's a small self-service station next to the register with water cups and disposable chopsticks. 【Food】 Since there are barely any Yelp reviews for the fried shrimp bento box, I felt adventurous and ordered: * 33. Fried Shrimp ($11.95) The takeout bag conveniently included four plastic sauce cups filled with chili sauce, Sriracha, Sriracha mayo, and teriyaki sauce, along with napkins and disposable chopsticks. The takeout bento box was stuffed to the brim with food, and pictures don't do it justice. True to the menu's description, the order included three dumplings that were warm and crispy, six pieces of California roll, and a small side salad made with arugula and sliced red bell peppers. The five pieces of fried shrimp were light and crispy and paired nicely with the small bed of white rice. Surprisingly, there were tons of tiny side dishes not mentioned on the menu: a tamago slice, a small pile of seaweed salad, a scoop of Japanese potato salad, and some kind of bite-sized avocado morsel? Tsukemono included pickled cucumber slices, pink daikon radish cubes, pickled ginger, and pickled cabbage [1]. Everything in the bento box was delicious. It contained tons of food and was super filling. It's a great deal, especially in the current economy. I will have to come back and try the other menu items, and if you want to support an affordable, high-quality mom-and-pop business, you should definitely visit. 【Service】 I was able to place my order pretty quickly in-person. They didn't ask if it was for dine-in or to-go, so they packed the food in a takeout bag. (It seems most people get it to-go, so they probably assumed). While I was eating, I overheard the same employee ask the next customer whether their order was for here or to-go, so I guess I influenced their earlier assumption. It took about 15 minutes to get my food, which wasn't too bad. I just tried this place for the first time yesterday and I must say I had no idea this was it a little hidden gem tucked away in the same plaza as Stater Brothers. I called my order in and a friendly lady took my order. When I walked to pick up my order, my first impression was that it was a small restaurant, but very clean and a little dark, but still welcoming. The lady that took my order greeted me and informed me my order would be ready shortly. I Had my son with me and she called him over to the counter and offer him a bag cookies... This is where I go when I'm craving a big-packed bento box. Teriyaki House is where you get the biggest bang for your buck. On the recommendation of a friend, a buddy and I decided to give this spot a try. I first noticed the dining area is well lit and clean with quite a few tables available along both sides of the room. There was a steady stream of people dining in while we ate and it seemed the food was coming out at a steady pace. The Beef Bento Box has a large portion of beef over white rice and a very small cut roll as one of the sides which were mostly yummy pickled veggies and small salads. The Philadelphia cut roll was large and also comes with home made pickled veggies and fruit. A tasty spider crab roll and the crunchy spicy tuna cut roll both came out in the company of the house home made pickled Dikon, sliced cabbage and cucumber. Everything was super fresh and tasty and the food comes arranged beautifully with proper garnishing to impress. I should have asked for the teryaki on the side as the beef was sweet enough without extra sauce. The cut roll in the Bento Box could have been bigger but I have to admit it would have taken away from the arrangement, (You eat with your eyes first). My only issue was the dine in option comes to the table in mostly styrofoam containers which ended up working out as we couldn't finish all of the food and I guess it saves on the water having to wash dishes. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento and when I got my food I was like WOW! Great portion for a great price! Not only it was a bargain, the quality of food was excellent and tasty all around. There is a clean and tastefully decorated dining area for those wishing to eat on-site, but the majority of the orders appear to be take out. I'm always impressed by the care taken with the meticulously presented to-go orders upon opening. Unfortunately, there is no soft drink self-serve dispenser, but there is a commercial refrigerator next to the ordering counter that is stocked with a variety of soft drinks, teas, juices, and other beverages for purchase.
