Had a lovely time here last night with a friend. I was very surprised to learn this place has been here for 10 years and yet I have never been, although I live close. The quality of the fish is very good, and many sushi dishes come with sauces already added that are bright and complex in flavor. Be aware, dishes don't come out quickly, and are being instead carefully put together by the one chef. We preferred this though as there was more of the expectation to sit back and relax, to savor the food instead The waitress was extremely helpful in making recommendations and refilling our drinks constantly. She seemed very concerned in making sure we were having a good time and enjoying all the dishes. The interior of this place is so cute as well. It has a very warm and cozy vibe. We went around 6pm and there was no wait, just a few other tables with what seemed to be regulars, who offered us a shot of sake haha ! I'll be excited to come again and enjoy both the food and friendly atmosphere

**Rating with a small child** My 4 year old and I came here on a weekday evening and were pleased how empty it was. We go to many sushi places together and he always orders the same things - tamago sushi, karage chicken, edamame - so I was hoping for a quick in/out dining experience. The ambiance was cozy - my kid likes to sit at the sushi counter and he loved the money tree. My son ordered lemonade, but when it came out, he said it tasted weird. I tried it, and it definitely came watered down / not good, so we returned it and got sprite instead. Oh well. The edamame came out fast, but the rest of our order took a while, despite there only being about 3 other tables. The chicken was... bland... it wasn't the usual karage that we are so used to, this was just crispy bland chicken. It came with a sauce which helped, but karage normally doesn't need to be dipped in sauce. My scallop dynamite roll was okay. It wasn't anything to rave about and it was to be expected. A little expensive for what it was, but I think that's market price. We were starting to feel quite full when my kid said "where's my tamago?" You're right - where is that tamago?! I asked the server and he checked the back, and said it was coming. But it still took another 15mins to finally get our order. We were so full, he could only eat one piece, but he said it was good. We boxed up the rest of our food and called it a night. Our waitress was kind and gave my son complimentary ice cream which was a nice gesture. Overall, food is nothing to rave about and service for a weeknight was slow. It was an average experience, and totally acceptable with a child.

    Four Season Roll

The food was delicious and unique. Very creative way of how 4 different fishes were combined in the Four Seasons roll with a nice spicy sauce that kicks in at the end. I got the chicken katsu combo and the salad dressing was mixed with black sesame sauce. My favorite was the crispy rice tuna appetizer. Crispy, not over burnt and delicious. The place is low key but don't be deceived by the strip mall and average ambiance. Go for the food!

Anaba sushi is a hidden gem in Glendora. You will not regret coming here. Their service is great, Richie plays the best music and makes the best specialty sushi. It's small. It's quaint and feels like you're in Japan. Please support them!

    Tostadas - so yummy!

Love the environment! Richie & Margaret always make sure our dinner is amazing. Anaba Sushi was recommended to me 6 years ago and I have been coming here since. Some of my favorites are the Oh Baby handroll, Foothill Roll, Salmon carpaccio and Tuna Tostadas. Please have patience when coming here as Richie is the only chef I have always recommended this place! Must try

Delicious sushi. The uni was perfectly prepared and they had quail eggs! First time trying fatty tuna and it was so tasty. Definitely coming back to try more of their creations.

The food was the real highlight. The uni was incredibly fresh and rich, easily one of the best bites of the night. What really surprised me, though, was the tiramisu. I didn't expect it to stand out as much as it did, but it was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and an ideal way to end the meal. Between the standout dishes and the excellent service, this is definitely a place I'd come back to.

I ordered 1 hand roll, 2 appetizers, and 2 rolls. I have never seen chicken karage not be crispy ours was almost wet for some reason. This appetizer arrived at 7:10. My rolls arrived at 7:40 and the salmon on them was icy cold. The table next to us received their salmon frozen... It baffles me that the sushi "chef" had managed to cut the salmon and fail to realize that it was frozen. I've spent so much time waiting for my last item (appetizer) to arrive that I figured I would write out the review now. This place is in the area and I figured I would give it a try. Do not make the same mistake I did. This place is empty for a reason. Now I get to go home hungry and moderately upset. Update: 8:05pm, I do not want the appetizer. I'm leaving.

The happy hour specials are phenomenal and probably one of the biggest reasons I'll definitely be coming back because the value for what you get is actually really good. On top of that, the customer service was amazing. Jared was super attentive and kind, and the other gentleman helping us was also incredibly welcoming and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. My sister barely eats these days because she's on Ozempic, so we honestly didn't expect her to eat much, but she LOVED the food. I loved it too. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and satisfying without feeling overly heavy. What really made the experience memorable though was how they went out of their way for her birthday. They sang happy birthday to her, brought out a birthday hat, and made her feel celebrated without us even really expecting anything. Usually we're too shy to ask for birthday celebrations at restaurants, so the fact that they did it on their own made it feel extra special and honestly made her night. The only reason I'm mentioning this is because I think it's something that could easily improve an already great experience, but there was a noticeable smell inside the restaurant that seemed like maybe a ventilation issue. If it wasn't for how good the food and service were, this probably would've been a four star experience for me. But the staff really went above and beyond and the overall experience was still worth five stars. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

You can tell they use solid ingredients, especially with the fish. They have a lot of sushi options, plus lunch specials and combo plates which are actually really filling for the price. Definitely a good spot if you want variety without spending too much. One of my favorite parts was the drinks -- I tried a matcha IPA for the first time and it was actually really good. They also have fun Asian-inspired cocktails with flavors like soju, ube, honeydew, and matcha, which makes it feel a little more unique than your typical sushi spot. Service was good and the place itself is clean and pretty spacious. Overall, it's not a super high-end sushi restaurant, but for a casual American-Japanese spot, it's really solid. I'd definitely come back.

Got the all you can eat which is limited and not all you can eat (just a heads up). But whatever that's not the end of the world. Also while we were trying to eat we had a homeless guy come in going from table to table begging for someone to buy him sushi. When he got to us he had his hands all over our table and my shoulder with his hands and the staff were too scared to do anything about it. Lucky I was able to talk the guy into going back outside. But the worst part of the experience was coming home and waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to get far away from the toilet for what is now at this time been 6 days and I'm still in the bathroom at least once in hour. Went to the doctor yesterday and he told me I have salmonella. And it all makes sense because I remember telling my wife while we were eating that the fish on all the sushi's were not cold at all. And had little to no flavor. Like they had been sitting out for hours possibly days. I have missed an entire weeks worth of work which hurts my family financially as well which really sucks. But feeling like complete crap for 6 days and counting is miserable. I pray nobody else got sick the same night we were there but there was only 2 other tables with about 5 people other than my wife and I in there. So hopefully it didn't spread to far. Please do not eat sushi here! I do not want anybody to have to live through what I have had and still continuing to deal with. There are many other places that are priced better and taste a heck of a lot better. Plus you won't go home with salmonella.
