Had a lovely time here last night with a friend. I was very surprised to learn this place has been here for 10 years and yet I have never been, although I live close. The quality of the fish is very good, and many sushi dishes come with sauces already added that are bright and complex in flavor. Be aware, dishes don't come out quickly, and are being instead carefully put together by the one chef. We preferred this though as there was more of the expectation to sit back and relax, to savor the food instead The waitress was extremely helpful in making recommendations and refilling our drinks constantly. She seemed very concerned in making sure we were having a good time and enjoying all the dishes. The interior of this place is so cute as well. It has a very warm and cozy vibe. We went around 6pm and there was no wait, just a few other tables with what seemed to be regulars, who offered us a shot of sake haha ! I'll be excited to come again and enjoy both the food and friendly atmosphere

**Rating with a small child** My 4 year old and I came here on a weekday evening and were pleased how empty it was. We go to many sushi places together and he always orders the same things - tamago sushi, karage chicken, edamame - so I was hoping for a quick in/out dining experience. The ambiance was cozy - my kid likes to sit at the sushi counter and he loved the money tree. My son ordered lemonade, but when it came out, he said it tasted weird. I tried it, and it definitely came watered down / not good, so we returned it and got sprite instead. Oh well. The edamame came out fast, but the rest of our order took a while, despite there only being about 3 other tables. The chicken was... bland... it wasn't the usual karage that we are so used to, this was just crispy bland chicken. It came with a sauce which helped, but karage normally doesn't need to be dipped in sauce. My scallop dynamite roll was okay. It wasn't anything to rave about and it was to be expected. A little expensive for what it was, but I think that's market price. We were starting to feel quite full when my kid said "where's my tamago?" You're right - where is that tamago?! I asked the server and he checked the back, and said it was coming. But it still took another 15mins to finally get our order. We were so full, he could only eat one piece, but he said it was good. We boxed up the rest of our food and called it a night. Our waitress was kind and gave my son complimentary ice cream which was a nice gesture. Overall, food is nothing to rave about and service for a weeknight was slow. It was an average experience, and totally acceptable with a child.

Four Season Roll

The food was delicious and unique. Very creative way of how 4 different fishes were combined in the Four Seasons roll with a nice spicy sauce that kicks in at the end. I got the chicken katsu combo and the salad dressing was mixed with black sesame sauce. My favorite was the crispy rice tuna appetizer. Crispy, not over burnt and delicious. The place is low key but don't be deceived by the strip mall and average ambiance. Go for the food!

Anaba sushi is a hidden gem in Glendora. You will not regret coming here. Their service is great, Richie plays the best music and makes the best specialty sushi. It's small. It's quaint and feels like you're in Japan. Please support them!

Tostadas - so yummy!

Love the environment! Richie & Margaret always make sure our dinner is amazing. Anaba Sushi was recommended to me 6 years ago and I have been coming here since. Some of my favorites are the Oh Baby handroll, Foothill Roll, Salmon carpaccio and Tuna Tostadas. Please have patience when coming here as Richie is the only chef I have always recommended this place! Must try

Anaba has the best sushi (and other delicious food) in the San Gabriel Valley. I have been eating here weekly for the last 5 years.

Finding a sushi place that consistently delivers is rare, but Mikomi has been reliable every time…read morewe've gone. The sushi tastes fresh, and one thing I appreciate is the rolls are always made well, nothing falling apart halfway through eating, which honestly says a lot about consistency. My kids were big fans of the tonkatsu ramen and finished it without complaints (which parents know is its own review category). The happy hour prices are also worth mentioning because you can order a decent amount without feeling guilty afterward. The biggest standout for us was our server, Bang. Friendly, attentive, and especially patient with my kids' food preferences. He was accommodating when we asked to modify dishes and gave recommendations. Service like that makes a restaurant memorable. This has become an easy choice when we want sushi in the area, especially for family dinners.

On a Thursday night, around 8:30pm, we thought it would be a good idea to order one roll over the…read morephone and pick it up. How difficult could that be? We placed the phone order for (1) roll and (2) macron ice cream things. (Which are already made and sitting in a freezer) We were told 25 minutes and so we waited about 20 minutes before I walked in to pick up my (1) roll, the only thing that required someone to make it. The front reception area was chaos with large parties waiting to be seated and scattered smaller groups of 3 or 4. I bypassed all that to get to the front and instead of a person is a tablet. All the human workers were scrambling around which told me they were "behind". I asked a worker about my phone order and she told me five minutes and took my payment. 35 minutes later I'm still waiting among the crowd who are also waiting to be seated. Workers are scrambling around like they just got trained that day. Confused looks and panic ruled the evening. Workers continued to jog past me to handing out drinks and trays of items and never checking back in with the small crowd. Confusion over clarity remained the theme as large parties asked why they haven't been seated yet. Small parties asked when they would be seated and I waited for (1) roll. A purely bad experience from start to finish from a place I've enjoyed in the past. The moral of the story is to expect the unexpected. Even though I've had pleasant experiences in the past here, I have to report the details of this visit based on its own merits and not prior visits. I ended up with my roll and it seemed like it was sitting back there somewhere ignored, like the groups waiting to be seated. It seemed not so fresh and like it was made 25 minutes earlier.
