I took the lower price set and was impressed with the quality, quantity and taste of the meal...teriyaki chicken. I've eaten here several times and have never been let down. The staff is great, too. The inside tables are set beautifully, I've eaten at their outside tables with my Great Dane...he prefers steak...I like Japanese food every so often, so he just watches me gobble down the great meal. The food and service at this location is excellent. My son regularly comes here with friends and Matthew who's always at the front is super helpful and very friendly. He takes care of the kids, even though sometimes there are no adults. The kids always saying how wonderful the service is and how well Matthew takes care of them. It's great to see a local restaurant that values all customers regardless of their age. We stopped by yesterday and just got some spicy tuna rolls to go. Matthew is very helpful in getting the order turned around quickly and the quality and service is always 10 out of 10. We definitely recommend this business. There's a great ambience of the location and they're very family friendly. We came back in for dinner and we were looked after by Nick and Tanner. Compared to other places it can definitely improve however it's not too bad. The fish is fairly fresh and the service is good. The spicy tuna does lack a bit and their salads can be cleaned up a bit more but everything else is good. Their green tea is a highlight. Not my first choice but not my last for sushi. read more

This is my second time here, and I'm already a big fan! The sushi rolls are amazing - the rice is warm, the fish tastes super fresh, and each roll is packed with flavor. I ordered the Crunch Roll, Mango Dream Special Roll, and the Superman Special Roll, which was definitely my favorite. If you're a tuna lover, the Superman Special Roll is a must-try! Fabulous experience tonight. Went downtown to get a late bite to eat.... 8:30. Figured we could order quick somewhere friscellas closed and barstools up, stubborn mule, grill turned off, same with the Mediterranean place. Everyone closed except sushi. I should preface this review by saying that I am a vegetarian, and I do not eat fish. I was in the area with a friend and we decided to pop in for happy hour. The sushi section and classic rolls sections were what were discounted for happy hour. From the sushi section I ordered the egg/tamago sushi as well as the bean curd/inari sushi. Both were very solid. For rolls I got the vegetable roll and a cucumber avocado roll which were also delicious. Now the real highlight of this review is the service, or should I say Matthew. As a vegetarian, I could not have felt more comfortable in a sushi restaurant short of the entire menu being vegetarian. My friend had ordered Salmon sushi and Matthew made sure it was served on a separate plate. For their classic rolls they list a cucumber roll and an avocado roll separately, but Matthew informed me that they could do a cucumber avocado roll for no extra charge. On our way out he even gave me a sticky note with his own vegetarian sushi recipe that he said he could make for me when I come back! All in all, for 3 pieces of sushi, 3 classic rolls, and 1 specialty roll, our bill came out to under $50. I'd highly recommend checking this place out, especially during happy hour, but I'd go back for the service alone (shout out Matthew R)! read more

My wife and I have been to this restaurant several time and have brought family and friends with us. The servers are very friendly and efficient. My wife and I both ordered a Bento Box. The salad (good) and Miso soup (very good) was served. Soon after my wife had her Bento Box, I waited 10 or 15 minutes and finally motioned to the owner the empty space in front of me. About 5 minutes after I received my Bento Box The owner told me my salmon (which was not very good) takes longer to cook. I thought that when a chef gets a ticket for two and one dish takes longer to cook, they will start that dish and wait to start the other dish later so that both dishes could come out at the same time. The Teriyaki Beef was ok, California roll and Spicy Tuna roll was good, the Sashimi was two hunks of fish and one thin slice, the Sushi kind of fell apart and the Tempura shrimp was so thin.
