Small mom and pop teriyaki bowl in Downtown La Verne. Order and pick up. Small option for outdoor seating. Mainly meant for on the go. Very nice owners. Waited less than 8 mins. Definitely will come back to try other plates.
First and foremost my cost $26 which is kinda costly but I went with the yelp reviews. So, i ordered the gyoza or dumplings as we know them by that. They were pan fried just the way I like them. The sauce disappointed me, it tasted like soy sauce and im not a fan. I go to the Asian market and get the better dipping sauce. As for the meal, I got the spicy beef and it was dry. Spicy level was not up to par. Nothing to brag about but these yelp reviews give you a different perspective so I had to try it out due to the out pour of the the reviews. Me personally I won't come to this place. I've had way better at other teriyaki places than this and for much cheaper. Thats just my take on it and how I feel about this place. I don't discourage of anyone trying this place I just my opinion and everyone else has there own. Now you know, peace.
Ordered the Garlic Sesame Shrimp plate and the Chili Lime Shrimp and Stir Fried Noodles with Beef . My least favorite were The stir fried noodles yaki-soba, which I will not order again. There is no visable signage, just look for the rattan. You order from the sidewalk window. Good portions, and fair prices keep the locals coming.
WOW, the food was amazing. Staff is so kind and provided great service. It felt like I was ordering form family with a nice ambiance. First time here but definitely not my last. Perfect portion and the glass noodles were delicious. Thank you!!!!

Love this spot!! In the heart of downtown La Verne, easy access to the front window, and the most friendly service. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall, but so clean and originated. The food tastes homemade, and you can tell it's made with love and care.

Customer service is even better, ordered over the phone and could tell the man helping me was very nice and down to earth It's a hole in the wall, literally a drive-thru window you walk up to. They had like 3 small tables outdoor, 2 chairs each. Although indoor, these are my favorite types of spots. Low-key, whole in the wall with gewd food.
This is the type of place where you only order at the window then take-out, but man is this place delicious. You get such great portions for the price, and the food itself is so comforting and absolutely delicious. It tastes authentic and there's ton of variety based on the type of Asian cuisine you enjoy, and I got the curry rice with chicken! The service itself was so sweet and very quick. Perfect location right next to the university of you're hungry after class!
I used to eat here multiple times a week during my college years. This a hole-in-the-wall/mom and pop shop. I've tried their bowls, curry noodles, and ramen. Everything is fresh and flavorful. They have expanded their menu and also have other options. I opted to try their daily special: spicy chicken + shrimp, with a side of rice, veggies, and glass noodles for $10.50 + tax. The chicken and shrimp were well seasoned. It brought memories back. I also love the chilies in vinegar that they include. I need to stop by for lunch or dinner more often. I highly recommend stopping by and trying their food. They now accept card, which is convenient if you don't carry cash. They have a small seating area with a couple of tables and a bench. You could also walk over toward the library and enjoy your meal picnic style on the grass.

The food is reasonably priced and is always delicious and fresh. I've ordered two items so far, the stir fried noodles with shrimp and curry with chicken. The portion sizes are great and I always find myself with leftovers to take home. The restaurant only has a window to order, and there's limited seating outside (no indoor seating). But there's usually vacant tables or you can walk across the street for more bench seating. This place is a small mom and pop family business so please come support them if you are craving some delicious casual Asian-fusion food in the area!
Let me start off by saying that the food here is SO good. Everything is full of flavor. I got their bulgogie beef, which comes with steamed rice and glass noodles, and it did not disappoint. The woman working was also very friendly and always smiling so I would say great service as well. This place is almost like a small stand where you order through a window and they just hand you your food so there's really no ambiance, just grab and go. Now for the reason that they got four stars from me. The portion of the food is very small for the price. This plate alone after taxes is almost $17 and I am still hungry! You can run to a Hawaiian bbq joint and get almost double the food for the price. Either they need to have bigger portions or they need to lower their prices. I loved the food but unfortunately this isn't somewhere you can eat for lunch regularly.
This is the quintessential hole in the wall. They only do take-out and have 1 little table outside with 2 chairs. The couple that run this spot is super nice. The food is awesome and very inexpensive. The bulgogi beef was excellent and the beef was super flavorful and the right level of crispy. The tofu bowl was fresh and tasty as well. They don't have any signage so it is easy to miss. It's right next to the barbershop.

First time here. Ordered the sesame chicken bowl. It looked as good as the pictures online if not better. Great flavor too. Quite spicy (made me sweat) but really good taste. For 13.22$ (with tax) you're getting a very good portion. At least 6 oz of cooked chicken. I definitely recommend trying it out. Lady taking the order was nice too and the order was ready within 5 minutes. read more
It was my first time visiting and I was on lunch break during work hours. Bowl House is located in La Verne. You can easily pull up and park on the street and order. They have an ordering window and it's not a sit down restaurant. Their menu is quite small: rice bowls, noodles, and appetizers. I ended up ordering beef noodles and sitting and waiting for my food. It took about 10 minutes and I went on my merry way! I ended up eating my food at work, and I thought it was okay and nothing fantastic. I was surprised from the ratings, but the food was quite average. There was a surprising spice kick, too. The noodles weren't sweet, weren't savory, and wasn't spicy. Again, they were quite average. There isn't much to critique and I can only base my review off of the food and the location. read more
The food and portion of the plate was perfect. It was quick to order and wait time wasn't too long. It's a window where there's 2 tables and chairs outside where you can choose to eat. When I arrived I noticed they took the tofu option off the menu. Not sure how long it's been off the menu but I asked if they still had it and they told me they did have some that day. If you're vegetarian or just want some tofu, doesn't hurt to ask! The bowl/plate was one of the best I've had, everything was perfect and flavor was just right. Overall it was a great experience and wish they had a bowl house where I live. read more

Cute little hole in the wall in downtown La Verne across from the university. Super nice family who owns it. I got the spicy chicken plate and it was delicious! Portion is pretty big to save some for later too! They use 100% chicken breast and you can tell. Super delicious! Will definitely be back to try the other protein options. There are a few seatings right in front. Super cute for a quick afternoon lunch place if you're in the area. Highly recommend it! read more

I am vegan and I loveeeee their Tofu Bowl. I always get it with extra veggie and extra spicy. They are amazing people, they know my order and never messed it up. I love them and I wish them the best forever. They are very accommodating but only their tofu bowl is vegan. read more

Do not pass on this place!! This is definitely a hidden gem, so glad to have found this restaurant, it's my new go to for lunch or even a quick dinner when I'm not up to cooking! The owners are so sweet and cook your food exactly how you want it, I told them I like spicy and they sure delivered! They even gave me an extra spicy sauce to try out for next time. I get my usual teriyaki bowl with rice and broccoli. Spare menu but they do a good job of what they do. It's $4 for the teriyaki bowl and cash only. The lady is pretty nice. The place is tiny, no seating inside though there's a few outside. read more
