WOW, the food was amazing. Staff is so kind and provided great service. It felt like I was ordering form family with a nice ambiance. First time here but definitely not my last. Perfect portion and the glass noodles were delicious. Thank you!!!!

Hidden hole in the wall , look out for it next to the barbershop. Decided to go with the chicken bulgogi very satisfying.

Love this spot!! In the heart of downtown La Verne, easy access to the front window, and the most friendly service. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall, but so clean and originated. The food tastes homemade, and you can tell it's made with love and care.

Food is amazing. Customer service is even better, ordered over the phone and could tell the man helping me was very nice and down to earth It's a hole in the wall, literally a drive-thru window you walk up to. They had like 3 small tables outdoor, 2 chairs each. Although indoor, these are my favorite types of spots. Low-key, whole in the wall with gewd food.

This is the type of place where you only order at the window then take-out, but man is this place delicious. You get such great portions for the price, and the food itself is so comforting and absolutely delicious. It tastes authentic and there's ton of variety based on the type of Asian cuisine you enjoy, and I got the curry rice with chicken! The service itself was so sweet and very quick. Perfect location right next to the university of you're hungry after class!

Spicy chicken and shrimp with rice, veggies, and glass noodles

I used to eat here multiple times a week during my college years. This a hole-in-the-wall/mom and pop shop. I've tried their bowls, curry noodles, and ramen. Everything is fresh and flavorful. They have expanded their menu and also have other options. I opted to try their daily special: spicy chicken + shrimp, with a side of rice, veggies, and glass noodles for $10.50 + tax. The chicken and shrimp were well seasoned. It brought memories back. I also love the chilies in vinegar that they include. I need to stop by for lunch or dinner more often. I highly recommend stopping by and trying their food. They now accept card, which is convenient if you don't carry cash. They have a small seating area with a couple of tables and a bench. You could also walk over toward the library and enjoy your meal picnic style on the grass.

I really digged this place. Just a window counter to order food and few tables. Simple. The food is also very tasty. I got myself a Garlic Sesame Shrimp Bowl and it was worth it.

The food was delicious but would have like a third side or more japchae! This bowl is on the spicy side. The service was good it's a walk up counter to order!

Let me start off by saying that the food here is SO good. Everything is full of flavor. I got their bulgogie beef, which comes with steamed rice and glass noodles, and it did not disappoint. The woman working was also very friendly and always smiling so I would say great service as well. This place is almost like a small stand where you order through a window and they just hand you your food so there's really no ambiance, just grab and go. Now for the reason that they got four stars from me. The portion of the food is very small for the price. This plate alone after taxes is almost $17 and I am still hungry! You can run to a Hawaiian bbq joint and get almost double the food for the price. Either they need to have bigger portions or they need to lower their prices. I loved the food but unfortunately this isn't somewhere you can eat for lunch regularly.

    Shanon Y.

My new go-to lunch spot! Bowl House usually caters to the staff and students at University of La Verne, thankfully I started working in the area so I have also started coming here regularly for lunch. The food is reasonably priced and is always delicious and fresh. I've ordered two items so far, the stir fried noodles with shrimp and curry with chicken. The portion sizes are great and I always find myself with leftovers to take home. The restaurant only has a window to order, and there's limited seating outside (no indoor seating). But there's usually vacant tables or you can walk across the street for more bench seating. This place is a small mom and pop family business so please come support them if you are craving some delicious casual Asian-fusion food in the area!

Its broth is rich, creamy, and savory. Every bite felt like heaven. (Important Note: Currently, there's a Yelp Check-In Promotion! Free Ice Cream, Soda, or Hot Tea for one in-person Check-In.) I arrived at Kaiba (La Verne) on Saturday (around 1:45PM). Parking is easy. The lot is spacious & big. Service felt professional, accommodating, and welcoming. My server (Jayden) worked hard. Jayden maintained a bright cheery demeanor; Jayden was very attentive & quickly assisted me; and Jayden always worked non-stop in the background. My food arrived around 6 minutes and 15 seconds. Very fast!! As mentioned, I found happiness in my meal. This Tonkotsu Ramen felt memorable and special. Its egg is silky, falling apart effortlessly as it hits the tongue. Its chasu is charred, tender, and thick. The broth is creamy and rich. And most importantly, the noodles are bountiful and springy. I felt all my stress seep away with each euphoric bite. In addition, the Gyoza tasted fresh and crisp. Its filling came juicy, and I reveled how each bite left a light crunch. And the Green Tea Ice Cream (Complimentary with Yelp Check-In Promotion) tasted chill, smooth, and refreshing. All in all, the value and quality of this meal felt unmatched. Concerning ambiance, Kaiba (La Verne) felt a little sporadic. It's clean, spacious, and well-ventilated. However, its appearance is a little ugly since folded plastic bags and boxes are sprawled outside in plain view. Still, I appreciated the food photos on the wall. Kaiba (La Verne) also has utility. I appreciated the flat screen TV; it plays the football game. Also, I observed a high-chair for kids, so this location is family friendly. The location also felt spacious with its high ceiling. Overall, I had a lovely, magical experience at Kaiba (La Verne). I am very excited that the hype is genuine. I left full and happy. If you love ramen, this is an easy recommendation. 5 out of 5. Our cashier brought the ramens and utensils to our table. No water though and I didn't ask for any. There is a soda machine in the back and some beers on tap. It was my first visit here but it won't be my last. I had already did my browsing of what's on the menu. I joined in on the crispy tofu for the appetizer and the crispy salmon skin salad. When we walked in it was busy. The Dodger game was on at the bar. There were maybe three open tables at most. We were seated at their small table against the wall. A cozy table for two. We were greeted by our friendly server, she brought the menus and ask us about drinks to start. I've water all around, haha. She came back with our water. Ooh, tasted like cucumber water... Refreshing. While my lady was deciding, I ordered: crispy tofu appetizer (presented in a small dish, about 10-12 pieces of hot, crispy cubes of golden tofu with a dipping sauce) and the salmon skin salad for my entree. The salad was an ample sized serving to share between the two of us. The salmon skin was julienned and were crispy little clumps like miniature fishy hash browns. Very crispy and tasty salad that included sliced tomatoes, cucumber, and scallions on mixed greens. My date ordered the charshu ramen. We shared our plates. The ramen was very tasty. The noodles had a good chew, not over cooked. Mmm, that was delicious. The robotic server was kitchy and cute. Maybe it does assist them with delivering plates to the table but the human server was observed transferring them from the bot to the table. For our table, we had our food delivered in stages not at the same time. The crispy tofu arrived first, then the ramen, and several minutes later came the salmon skin salad. Not a deal breaker but noticed. Food was good. Service was okay, could be better.
