String bean chicken, charsiu, and fried rice
James Y.

Wow. As you see from my pic this place packs the container almost to the point that they couldn't close it. I went with the 2 item combo which you select fried rice, noodles, or combo of both the make your entree selection. I did chicken with green beans and bbq pork. The fried rice was good but a little salty for I think the browning agent is soy sauce. The chicken with green beans were good for the beans still had crunch. The bbq pork was really good and tasty as per the places name. There are a lot of seats/tables in the restaurant so you can eat there but they pack it to go. The lady behind the food counter was nice. The basic set up is you order at the counter so you can see what entrees they have to offer.

This has to be the best chinese takeout place I have tried ever! It was my first time here and the service was super good and fast the lady up front was very kind and friendly too. I chose to dine in and it was very nice and peaceful as well. The food tasted amazing I never like chow mein but this place makes it perfect. I got the broccoli beef and some orange chicken and both were absolutely delicious and filling especially for the price! I will definitely be returning for more it was very welcoming and tasty!

Place was so good ..! Food was freshly made and on point and service was excellent the portions were massive, we literally split a meal. Really happy with the discovery of this location. Ambience was a Chinese diner style.

They give you a good amount of food. Barbecue pork is so tender. Delicious.

The food is delicious but mouth did they give you is insane. If he $15 give you a free soda with your combo. The barbecue park is so tender. The chicken is delicious. CUSTOMER SERVICE was amazing. She was so nice. The restaurant itself is clean and good room temperature.

just piles and piles of not bad chinese food

huge portion of the food the price is general every where for chinese to go better than panda express for me is like taco bell to being authentic NOT the pic is taken after i took 4 bites out of the chow mein still alot 3 meat combo i'll bet you can share with someone 3 Meat combo - 16 something

Fried Rice with Chicken & String Beans, Black Pepper Chicken.
Eugene A.

I came here on a not-so-busy Sunday afternoon. The ambiance is decent, spacious and quite clean. Their food selection today was pretty limited and did not have a variety of choices. Hopefully on my next visit, I will encounter more options. I opted for their String Bean Chicken, Black Pepper Chicken with Fried Rice. My 2-item plate was a little above $12, but their portions are huge! They're pretty generous because they pile up a mountain of your entrees. I was not able to finish my order but I was glad to take the rest home. I feel quite satisfied when I support local Chinese fast food places like this.

Old school Chinese Restaurant, great tasting food, large portions, good prices, clean dining room, plenty of parking. Purchased 2- 2 item combos ,fed 3 kids and 2 adults.

WALK IN ORDER. I came because I was craving tasty goody. I've had the one in Covina many years ago and remembered how great it was however, I was not in the area so I went to YELP and found this location nearby. It is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking for all. It was my first time here, as I walked in I asked the people waiting there where I should go to start my order since I was so shy to look up and the kind customers guided me and told me to go to the very right. Then I looked up and saw a sign that said order here (silly me). There were two female workers already working on orders, one of them greeted me and took down what I requested. I wanted white rice, chow mein, green bean chicken, and I wanted to try the black pepper chicken. The black pepper chicken was going to be a bit of a wait and I agreed to wait because I had the time. So I waited about 15 minutes, then the Second Lady called me up to pay for my order. I noticed the rice they put in there was no the white rice but the fried rice so I asked her to please put the white rice for me. She did it however, it felt as though I was in the wrong so I asked if I need to say it a certain way for me to get that next time? She said to say "Steamed rice" because when I say white rice it is the fried rice they have, so I said I'm sorry and thanked her for the clarification so that I know for next time :) The inside looked nice, it is definitely a good spot to come take your lunch break at. I paid $12.12 cash for this to go plate. I noticed I did not get a fork or napkin like they normally put in :( she also did not ask me if I wanted any sauce (now that I think about it, she asked everyone else that she rang up but me) Now time to open the box..... and WOW, it was filled up. They really packed it in there. The white rice was great, the noodles were okay only because they tasted like they've been sitting there for a while, the green bean chicken was my favorite it was so flavorful however, I did not like the black pepper chicken - to me it did not taste good. I would definitely go back for the white rice and green bean chicken dish. I would like to try other dishes like the teriyaki chicken, orange chicken, since I overheard the other 4 customers get those - they seemed popular. Overall I give it a 3/5. It was my first time here and I was disappointed in the lack flavors of the noodles and black pepper chicken, I also did not get the fork and napkins or get asked if I wanted any sauce like everyone else did. I think it was because of the whole white rice situation. I may be a rookie at ordering rice...so make sure if you want white rice you say steamed rice. I know I will do this next time I go!

Get the catering!!! $150 for this amount of food. All of my guests left so full and took home so much food as leftovers.
JerrisAnd N.

I love tasty goody. This is the second time I hosted a party and ordered their party trays. For $150 you get chow mein, fried rice, vegetables or chicken salad, two entries, and 25 egg rolls. It feeds more than 25 people for sure. And everyone comes home with leftovers. It's amazing.

I really took to the lechon tots - incredibly seasoned pork with pico de gallo topped with a tasty green sauce. I really wish they had a salad version of it. My burger was incredible. I wasn't a big fan of the bread (it had structural integrity but lacked the softness needed to complement the patty) but I liked the cook on the meat - as well as the crispy onion rings that crunch with each bite. Service is warm and homey and the place is spotless. Loved our time there. It was well-ventilated and had lots of space between tables. The pricing is reasonable and won't break the bank. I was greeted with a smile by Jessica the owner! Great service by her, Michael, and Jake! They do have a few tables to sit inside and outside to eat. We chose to sit inside because it's too hot outside for me. I started off by ordering a bottle of root beer. My friend got a fountain drink and she got half sweetened tea and half unsweetened tea mix. They do offer fountain sodas, teas, and Orange Bang drinks. Now to the foods! My friend and I both got West Coast cheesesteak sandwiches, makes sense because of the name of the place! However, we changed up on how we did both of them. Mine had provolone cheese, peppers, Jalapeños and mushrooms. My friends had poblano cheese, onions, mushrooms, peppers, and jalapeños. Let me tell you, both of these sandwiches were incredibly great! We did both share each other sandwiches. My favorite two ingredients of both sandwiches was the poblano cheese and the mushrooms. They make their poblano cheese sauce, fresh daily, and they really know how to cook a great mushroom here! We also had the chili cheese tots which are newer and also onion rings with the ranch dip. They have a really great chilly here and it's not too heavy and of course the cheddar cheese they put on it is amazing! Everything here tasted so good! You gotta come check this place out if you haven't already!!!

We came to SushiYa in San Dimas this past weekend to celebrate a birthday, and I have to admit, I…read morewas pleasantly surprised by just how much I liked this place. when I hear that a restaurant is part of a small chain, my expectations tend to drop a little. Not because I'm a snob, but because somehow the more locations a place has, the more likely it seems that the food starts tasting like it was designed by a committee. Actually, I am a snob. I lied earlier. First, the atmosphere is great. The interior has cozy little booths and tables, with fake cherry blossoms spread across the ceiling, which somehow manages to feel charming rather than cheesy. It's intimate enough for a date night, but comfortable enough to hang out with friends and spend some time over dinner. There's a warmth to the place that makes you want to stick around for another roll... and then another roll... and eventually you are fatter than a tick on a Texas hound dog. The service was also excellent. We had a couple of servers, but Lily really stood out. She was friendly, chatty, and genuinely helpful. Good service is what I expect when I go out to eat, but when I remember someone's name afterward and feel compelled to mention them in a Yelp review, that's a pretty strong indication that they were doing something right. Nice job Lily and thank you. Everything we had was fresh, flavorful, and really well executed. We tried the Lemon Blossom, Salmon and Mango Delight, and Venice Roll, and all three were excellent. We tried some drinks and appetizers too, but I already know you're thinking this review is too wordy. Each had its own thing going on, and everything tasted fresh and super flavorful. For sushi at this price point, I think SushiYa is a terrific value. You get a nice atmosphere, genuinely great service, and food that makes you immediately start thinking about what you're going to order the next time you come back. And apparently I'm already thinking about that. In fact, I may be driving there right now as I write this review. Which, in retrospect, is probably not a great idea. If the police see me, I'm probably getting a ticket. Whoa, I just ran a stop sign. So if you're reading this and there's a noticeable lack of punctuation at the end, just know that the final sentence of this Yelp review was probably written through tears as I look at how much this citation is costing me. Anyway, check out Sushi Ya. Good stuff.

Please , respectfully speaking come and perform your job duties. I know times are hard. A sign of the times, grocery prices too high, gas is too high. I read the bad reviews and noticed that most of the bad reviews are about customer service. I dropped off my husband to the Ontario airport and I live in Covina. San Dimas was closer to me. My car was running empty from driving all day. I filled up the car at the San Dimas Costco. I was closer to the Popeyes in San Dimas. I was very hungry and tired, all I had this day was breakfast. I stopped by on 6/25 /26 a Thursday evening at 7:00 pm. I was starving. I was looking forward to my 3 piece combo meal.I wanted to eat it at home in Covina. As soon as the cashier handed the meal to me through the drive -through. The meal stunk, like spoiled, rotten eggs. I was so hungry and it did not smell good like a fresh cooked meal from Popeyes. I was looking forward to this meal out of all the choices of foods in the area. I chose Popeyes in San Dimas.I got home and surely the chicken smelled rotten and spoiled and it was sticky almost slimy. I was afraid to get food poisoning. I did not drive back to return it. I was hungry and so tired. I ended throwing it away in the trash. I drank the lemonade and ate the small side order of rice and beans and the apple pie. I'm sure they are selling chicken past it expired date. So disappointing. I guess in time we will find out if any one dies of food poisoning from Popeyes serving rotten, spoiled chicken.I'm so turned off to eat Popeyes ever again. Not worth getting a refund. I hope someone does not get food poisoning from this location. At least there's an outlet like Yelp to let the public be aware. Taking the time to write this post is necessary to alert the public. I don't care about a refund. I care about customer service and trusting a franchise that serves food that will not make someone sick or die from food poisoning. Check the camera that is above the menu ordering sign if you want to know if I was there on 6/25/26 at 7:00 pm. I paid cash for my order. I clearly identified the location is the San Dimas store. Do your job and figure it out with the help of the store manager. What is going on at this location? Do not disturb me putting me to work as if you need this information to do a better job at this location. I do not need you to follow up with me. I was clear, that I am no longer interested in Popeyes franchise. It does not matter to me if you improve your customer service or if your food quality is improved. The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough."
