We have eaten here a few times over a number of years. It is not near to us but we have a friend who moved into the area so our visits will be more often. We had the lunch special which includes a delicious vegetable soup, white or fried rice, a small salad and an entree. Our entrees were pad Thai, black pepper chicken and Karee Kai. We also ordered sate chicken as a starter. Everything was very good and our server, Numpech, was excellent. The interior was pleasant and all of the waitstaff were very friendly. There were no diners when we arrived at noon, so we had our pick of the tables. Everything was neat and orderly, and we were immediately seated and handed menus. The entire restaurant had a chill vibe and it was quiet. They have a lunch menu where you can get a small salad, soup, rice and your main for $12.50. Not a bad deal! So I chose the pad Thai. If you want shrimp, they charge you an extra $2. It arrived quickly and piping hot, but it was a little too oily and a little heavy on the sugar. And there were only 3 shrimp. Oh well, I guess that's inflation for you. The soup was flavorful, though, so that was nice. For the price point, it was worth it. The service was lovely. The servers constantly refilled our water glasses and tended to us with smiles. We could tell that they wanted to make our visit pleasant - they were just so solicitous and accommodating. We'll definitely come back for the dinner service and try the other items on the menu. They had a lot of interesting offerings but they didn't have my favorite dish - papaya salad. read more

DELICIOUS Thai food! I came to La Verne to visit a friend who just moved here and we walked to Siamese Restaurant since it was closeby. Upon entering, I was extremely skeptical at first. The interior looks like the makings of a super Americanized Asian food restaurant (and being from 626, I have high standards for Asian food). I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and it was delightful. The noodles were perfectly chewy and the seasoning was flavorful and sweet. There was ample toppings like peanut, cabbage, carrots that created variety in textures and flavors. They also have pickled jalapenos, garlic chili sauce, chili powders, etc to spice up your meal. I also tried my friends Tom Yum soup and it was very flavorful and yummy! The waitresses are very friendly and check in frequently. They'll refill your water and make sure everyone has everything they need. Most meal options are under $15 and the serving size is pretty good! I think Siamese Restaurant is a great local gem that offers good value meals. There is lots of free parking in the parking lot (in a plaza). I have been happily coming here for 25 years! The food is very good and has been consistent. The servers have been mostly the same and are usually very polite and attentive. Today it was busy with half the tables filled and take out orders coming in. It took an unusual amount of time for someone to take our order and for our food to arrive. One of our dishes arrived very very late and was missing an item in it I requested. The worst thing was the peanuts were rancid in the two dishes with peanuts. We picked out the peanuts. I let a server know but she ignored it or did not understand me. I asked her to let the kitchen know and to taste it herself. She never came back with any response. Was very disappointed in this place. Was looking forward to going in to have a nice sitdown lunch at around 2:30. When I got there, the sign was closed way early for lunch but I knocked on the window and the lady seemed to be taking her lunch break early. She did not let me sit down in the restaurant, but she did allow me to order food to go, which I did I got the food and was missing utensils so I had to knock again. Other customers came at 2:45 and they were declined service. The soup wasn't the way I remembered it and seemed to be made with beef broth rather than chicken which for vegetable soup isn't the best combo this place seems to be going downhill and unreliable hours, which is unfortunate. Options were not what I normally am used to, but what really got me from this location is that once you pay if you don't ask for your change back, they will give it to you they will keep it. I literally had to go upfront to ask for my change. Pleasant and tidy restaurant located in the strip mall where the Vons with the gas station is in LaVerne. Service is kind, and efficient. Booths are very comfortable and the lighting is perfect for a lunch or dinner conversation. Lunch specials run about $13 which included soup and side salad. Companion and I both enjoyed curry dishes. I was in the neighborhood with a dear friend when we were suddenly craving Asian food. This friend had told me this was their absolute favorite spot for Thai ever since they were little. I'm not very versed in Thai food, but I was excited to see what Siamese had to offer being it was a place that held memories and most importantly, delicious food for my friend for years. The spot is rather large with lots of booths. Great space and roomy yet feels private when you sit in your own little table. Service was prompt and friendly. This place gives me so much nostalgia from when I was a kid going to my favorite Chinese spot. The decor is dated and a bit tacky, but in the best possible way imaginable :'-). The menu was big with lots of Asian fusion dishes. I got the All-Day Special which includes wonton soup, your choice of rice, eggrolls and an entree for around $16.50. Incredible amount of food for that price nowadays! Wonton soup was the best I've had since I was a kid: broth was seasoned well and the veggies inside tasted fresh with a little crunch. I've had my heart broken so many times in search of another wonton soup that will satisfy, this one did not disappoint. Chicken Chow Mein was phenomenal! Classic chow mein with tender, seasoned pieces of chicken. Super savory and umami. It hit the spot. Thai Iced Tea was nice as well. They had so much stuff on their menu I'd like to explore next. This restaurant has a very homey atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. The garlic vegetable is so flavorful and packed with a good variety of veggies. So happy we stumbled upon this little gem. Staff was friendly. Location was clean. They offer to go orders since we aren't able to dine in. The menu has plenty of options to choose from and they have some great lunch and all day specials. The special came with choice of entree, two egg rolls (very good), wonton soup (so tasty and hot), and your choice of entree. I was very happy with the cashew chicken that I got. I came to this restaurant about 8 years ago after moving from San Gabriel. It's hard to find a good Asian restaurant after living and eating in San Gabriel for 40+ years. However, the food prepared here is just above average. Not fantastic but good fresh tasting food. Today's meal was seasoned well and I enjoyed it very much. Tonight's meal was disappointing. Pad thai- tasted nothing like pad thai. It was just stir fried rice noodle. They also site fried the bean sprouts into it AND gave a side of raw cabbage? So weird. Tom kha soup- salty Green beans in curry sauce with pork- salty and such a small portion. Vegetable tempura- batter was too dense and veg was mainly broccoli. Portions overall are smaller compared to other Thai places. This place might seem good for LA Verne, but would close down in a week in any other surrounding city. I asked what they had tofu. They said anything could be made with tofu. So I ordered sweet sour tofu. This is what I got. I have to pour the sauce on myself. Nothing mixed together. Boiled BLAND veggies. No soy sauce for the rice. What a waste of money & time. Something from the freezer section at the market would of been tastier. The tofu OMG, tasted & looks old. Like if they refried old tofu. Notice how dry separated and stringy the tofu looks inside. You can't even cut it with a fork. I just tasted everything. Had my boyfriend taste it. The restaurant is super clean, simple and quiet. Service was excellent. Ordered Tom yum soup because it was a chill evening I kind wanted some soup. My Mexican friend might not be able to handle the spiciness so I asked them to make it mild but it was still very flavorful. Fried rice with beef was made perfectly and I was quite impressed. The only thing I wasn't like much is the green curry. It's too sweet for my taste but the chicken was tender. (I think this place is somewhat Americanized in because I saw the Kung-bao chicken on the menu) I had the leftover to go and found they even taped the lid of the soup so it won't split. Very thoughtful. Top Thai is still my #1 in this area but Siamese is by far the 2nd best. read more

We love Siamese Thai Restaurant! We just tried it a few months ago for the first time, and we've been coming back nonstop since then. We get their lunch specials- the prices are really great and the food is excellent. The wonton soup is delicious, I LOVE the dressing they put on their salad, and, I think my two favorite entrées are either the spicy mint chicken or the cashew nut chicken. My husband loves their fried rice (pork, seafood, loves it all!). The servers are very friendly and efficient. I don't know if it's family owned, but we always have the same ladies helping us and they are so sweet and welcoming. Oh my gosh, all this talk, I'm having a huge craving for Siamese Thai! I picked up some chicken pad sew ew and the sweet & sour fish. The pad sew ew was seasoned nicely, the noddles were a great texture, lots of chicken, tender broccoli. As for the fish, the batter was light and the fish fresh tasting. I loved that the sauce for it was put on the side. My toddler was able to enjoy the fish with and without the sauce. Everything was delicious. We adults loved it. My toddler loves to try new foods (new for her) and was very vocal about her dinner being "yummy" too. read more

Also the mushrooms in the soup and in the salad or canned half the food was good half the food was bad I asked for soy sauce for $69 worth of food and she gave me two packages the lady was extremely rude and told me that I can only have two chilies the chilies or extra small and she said next time I'm going to charge you for them as if I didn't pay enough for the dinner and she was talking to the lady on the other side where the cooking area is and she told her that she was going to give me the old chili because I want it too many I ask for three even though I had $69 worth of food and a soy sauce I am sure I had packages left at home from other dinners so I wasn't going to complain but it was ridiculous only two packages of soy sauce really I do not recommend this place there's better places my favorite place is in San Dimas very rude poor service read more

I had eaten here prior to the pandemic and had an enjoyable meal. Unfortunately this Friday night, we arrived ay 8:45 pm and even though the door indicated that on Fridays and Saturdays they were open until 9:30 pm. The door was locked but someone came to the door and said we needed to order quickly as it would take them 15 minutes to prepare our order. We were seated and ordered immediately. Table was sticky when we were first seated, there was one other couple seated and eating when we arrived. Our appetizers arrived after an entree and rice were served. The food was bland, lacking any heat/spicyness at all. We were done by 9:25. Bill was brought and we paid and asked for food in containers to take home. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Food is always good and fresh. And they have great specials. I recently tried the steamed fish and it was perfect on a cold day. It had just enough of spice from the ginger, the sauce was delicious. I enjoy their curries and the wonton soup is also great. Service is also always great. Our server is always so sweet and she is on it. My only complaint is that they are closed on Sundays :( read more
