    Chicken Satay Lunch Special
    Angela C.

My sister wanted to come here for her bday lunch since she liked this place. It's in a plaza so plenty of parking spaces. As soon as we walked in, there is many tables and chairs available for seating. It was a little warm in there so not sure if the AC wasn't working or need to be turn it on. The music playing was more mellow so it gets pretty quiet in there. I decided to order the Chicken satay lunch special since we got to save room for Porto's cake. The portions were very small and thought the dish was okay. It's not worth the price for it. The peanut sauce looked really watery. I have had better chicken satay with peanut sauce elsewhere. I wouldn't personally come here, but if my sister wants to come here again I would try a different dish instead. The staff was friendly and appears only 1 person was waiting the tables. She was attentive on getting water and anything else we may need.

Was in the mood for some Thai food. This place offers a wide selection of dishes. The taste of their food is okay.

This restaurant is so eye catching the minute you walk in. It's decorated beautifully , very clean and the hostess/waitress is very welcoming. I've lived in the area for 8 years and only now discovering this gem. The food is perfection! Authentic, fresh, presentation is pleasing. I can't say enough positive things about this family owned restaurant. They have been in business since 1978 so that alone speaks for itself. I am so happy I learned about this place . Better late than never!

Family owned Thai restaurant that serves up delicious and authentic Thai food. Owned by a husband and wife couple who are from Thailand. They really bring the best in the Thai culture and flavors! Service is superb, there are so many regulars here. Nisa knows everyone, it's like coming here to visit a family relative. It's run by a couple, so be patient. The food is amazing. Every dish is served piping hot and super filling. Also the Thai tea is a must! It's so good that you will want another after your first. The interior is so cool and gorgeous. So many relics and Thai decor. It's like you're in a Thai palace. It's truly a hidden gem in Pomona. Don't get me started on dessert. The coconut ice cream with fried bananas is so good. It's crispy sweet and creamy with a spoonful of ice cream. I'm not a huge fan of coconut, but this ice cream really got me. This place does not disappoint. Worth checking out if you're in the area!

My infant daughter and I went out for monthly date night and stumbled upon this lovely establishment via google maps. It was very cute restaurant with an adorable host welcoming us in. They did not have a child's seat so I used our stroller to act as one. But we still enjoyed our time there. I ordered us Chicken satay, shrimp tempura, cucumber salad (for me), and then chicken pad thai. Plus a thai tea. All were lovely and delicious dishes with adequate portioning. The service was pretty quick! We will return.

It's still about a 25-minute drive for me, but that's nothing compared to driving all the way to LA just to satisfy a craving. I'll keep it simple: everything on the menu is delicious. Seriously, there's no wrong order here. Whether you're craving noodles, curry, rice dishes, or late-night comfort food, they always deliver. The flavors have stayed consistent throughout the years, and that's probably why I keep coming back. The restaurant itself is spacious and can easily accommodate multiple large groups without feeling cramped. Food comes out fast, service is always great, and the staff keeps things moving even when it gets busy. My only complaint is that I wish they stayed open later -- but that's just me being selfish because this is one of those places you'll crave at random hours. Honestly, this place deserves the same level of recognition as McDonald's. Everyone should know about Sanamluang. If you haven't been here yet, you're seriously missing out.

The best thing is their tom kha soup, soooo flavorful and filled with lots of chicken and mushrooms, highly recommend. Another great item were their fried chicken wings, very good and crispy and the sauce they give is super tasty. Their pad see ew was also very good, packed with beef and moist. The trout (kinda pricey depending on the seasonal price it was $23) was good as well, the lightness and freshness of their vegetable pickled slaw really cut thru their super crispy oiled fish. The duck was good, but it was super gamey, more than I'd like, the spinach was sautéed nicely tho. The chicken larb was our least favorite, it was way too sweet and just tasted like batter to me, the flavor was just off, we didn't even take home the leftovers. Their Thai coffee was hella sweet, like super sweet, Idk if I would get that again. Their mango sticky rice was $14 and honestly it was just ok, I've had better. Overall the service was quick, the place is clean overall, it does get crowded bc I can see why, the prices are reasonable and there is a lot of options of food. We would come back if we are in the area. Oh and ps just so u know parking is horrible, if u park on a wrong area u will get towed. They warn you multiple times to be careful where u park. It's just not a big enough lot, especially for how popular the place is. So be prepared to fight for a parking spot

Our server was friendly, and the other staff made sure we had our waters refilled. Along with great service, I enjoyed the food again. The drunken noodles were flavorful and not too spicy. Highly recommend this. Chicken Satay: This is our other favorite dishes. The chicken is tender and well seasoned. This is a great alternative for their popular crying tiger in terms of the portion and pricing. Papaya Salad: I was a bit disappointed with this. The papaya salad is lack of flavoring (specifically the garlic taste). It's not very marinated. Tom Yum Soup: We got a small bowl of the seafood tom yum soup. The portion is great for 2 people, but don't expect too much seafood from it. The flavor is good, so it's still a great soup option. Non-Sweet Sticky Rice: Unlike other places, their sticky rice is served as a dessert, you can still taste the coconut flavor. Most other traditional Thai places serve sticky rice as unsweetened and plain (i.e., jasmine rice soaked overnight). Not really mad about this. The service was absolutely amazing. We made a reservation ahead of time to avoid waiting in line. I'm glad we did because there were already people waiting when we arrived at 6pm. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Overall, Basil & co. is a great Thai restaurant option in town, but I wouldn't say it is the BEST Thai restaurant I ever had.

The green is very relaxing visually and it's always really clean and cool inside too. Service is great, food too but that goes without saying. I will say though, after having their boat noodles a couple times, Thaitwist's is probably the best I've had in a very long time. It's incredibly flavorful, though it is a bit lacking in add-ins/components, especially compared to other places I've been to. Besides that, it's still super delicious. However, I can't exactly say the same for their tom yum noodles. It's by far the worst I've had anywhere unfortunately. The soup is mildly tangy and pretty light, but kinda flat in terms of flavor. It's very singular in the taste department and also lacking in add-ins too. I guess if you're feeling under the weather and don't want anything too rich and heavy, this would be a pretty good option. Aside from that, everything else is delicious! After coming here several times, I'm starting to learn what Thaitwist makes really well and what items to skip.

She enjoyed it very much. I had some of the sauce with some rice, to taste. It was nice and creamy but it was still light. It didn't feel heavy in the stomach.
