What a relaxing experience. We walked into this restaurant on the way to Palm Springs and stopped by for some Vietnamese food. Upon walking in, we were welcomed with soothing music, the kind of music I put on when I'm looking for cozy The entire place is very well lit up with Christmas spirit which included lights, Christmas reefs, Santa Claus dolls and beautiful flowers. My bang mi sandwich was great and so was my wife's meal called shaken beef. Our server was quick to serve us and we were back on our way. It was such an unexpected delicious Vietnamese meal experience. Highly recommend.
Located in a small shopping center is this amazing establishment. Probably on of the top bahn mi I've had in a while. The service was fast and the atmosphere is inviting. I would definitely come here again to try the other items on the menu. We tried the BBH and Bahn Mi. Both very delicious
This place is in the strangest location off the freeway but I love the atmosphere! It's like a noodle rave room Delicious Vietnamese dishes, I especially like the lemongrass tofu Boyfriend loved the beef chow mien and fish cake Perfect place for date night despite the music being loud, there's great privacy for conversation
Vietnamese food open late, everybody! They have a good variety on their menu. Love when restaurants have a kitchen that you can see. They play music and have neon lights- club vibes in here Its a cute restaurant! Friendly service
Loved it! Food was delicious. I also love the vibe of this place! Maybe not the music, it's like I'm at the spa, made me sleepy Everything is clean, service is fast and they are friendly!
Nothing but rave reviews as Hanoi Kitchen continues to serve up great and flavorful Viet cuisine. Tonight I took my daughter and she has a shrimp pasta and salted caramel iced coffee drink. I ordered phó dac biet and a banh xeo along with a Hanoi variation of a spring roll. I wasn't crazy about the roll, but everything else was delicious. At 9 PM, the waiter put small table lamps on each table and a light show with techno-pop music kicked in. This was a new experience for us but apparently the word is out because a younger crowd began to come in. Hanoi Kitchen is open til 12, so this could be a thing. I did not find the atmosphere annoying nor intrusive; I was mildly intrigued. We will be back
Pretty good. Very good prices on both the lamb chops and the banh mi. I enjoyed the char on the lamb chops and the seasoning was pretty good / mas o menos. I really enjoyed their banh mi. I would definitely recommend this place.
This place is awesome! The inside is decorated really well, it's both cozy and eccentric. The owner has great taste in murals and mega statues. The food was so yummy! their service was attentive, they clearly had many regulars, and I am so excited to soon go back!
I was working in the area and saw Hanoi Kitchen and wanted a Banh Mi so I stopped in. I don't think there's another place in Claremont, south of the 10 fwy, that sells Banh Mi so that's one reason you should go. Their Banh Mi comes in more of a bolillo than a baguette and it tasted fresh. I got the grilled beef Banh Mi and the meat had great flavor, but was a little tougher than I'm used to. I usually get Banh Mi's from Che Cali and I find that their meat is easy to bite through and flavorful. Hanoi's is flavorful, just a little bit a of a pull to break the meat apart, but it's not that bad. I also tried their shrimp and beef spring roll and thought it was fine. Parking was easy to find out front. Inside I was a little confused with the decor, but overall it's fun. There's a Lego Mario at the counter, no clue why, but it's a fun statement piece. Definitely a popular spot for work lunches in the area.
the service and food was just okay, the server took out order brought the food out and never saw him again. Had to stop another server for the check and the food it was just okay. Doubt we will be back.
My Mom, one of my younger brothers, and a dear family friend were having a comfort meal at Hanoi Kitchen after a friend's funeral. I came here to pick up my Mom. It's quite spacious and long inside. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful wall art decor of Vietnam! It's so colorful and I can sense it is telling its history and stories. It's pretty neat! As I was waiting for my Mom, I flipped through the menu. I was curious what they have. Staff was super friendly. The nice gentleman answered my questions. Thank you young man! I found out this place serves North Vietnam foods and flavors which was intriguing. I ended up ordering 1 Banh Cuon and 1 Pho Chicken. The banh cuon took about 20 mins because it's made to order which was fine with me. It had lots of pork and wood ear filling in a thin layer of steamed rice roll. There were several rolls served with meatloaf and herbs plus bean sprouts along with fish sauce. It was divinely delicious. So was the Pho Chicken. Yum, yum! I saw the chicken oil in the soup. White chicken meat was tender. Herbs were very fresh. It's the real deal. I wish the portions was a bit bigger though. Anyhoo, I would get both items again! Funny, I didn't know this Vietnamese restaurant was here in Claremont until that day. I'll be back here to dine in and try more North Vietnam dishes. Happy Dining!
What a find! Glad to have my first visit during the holidays- amazing decorations! Just a fan of bahn mi sandwiches and pho. Passing through Claremont and a quick search brought me here. Entrance is grand with the nativity scene and decorations throughout. Seated right away on a Tuesday night. Ordered the chicken pho which had a few pieces of chicken and 2 types of noodles. The ratio of chicken to noodles - more chicken needed. Phos was good regardless of that. Bahn mi grilled pork was great! Enjoyed it to the last bite. The food took a little bit to come out and the water refill needs improvement. I like this place. I'll visit when I'm in the area. The restaurant is spotless with table condiments neat and organized. Staff is friendly. Only saw 1 guy working the dining room And a couple of guys in the kitchen. Parking lot in a strip mall. Might get busy since this place is shared with other places to eat.
Pork jowl was great (5/5) Hanoi style Vermicelli was great (5/5) Pho filet mignon was ok (3.5/5), not a lot of onions :( and the noodles were not what we're used to. Atmosphere, clean and nice, we're not a big fan of the raving atmosphere, not for us (4/5) Service was good, nice and friendly, they could fill up some waters tho. Over all, will come back before 9pm :)
Came here after a long day. You have to know what type of fail you're getting very different types coming from different countries so looking up before you come is super important so you're not surprised if it's not the norm you usually go to The food was absolutely delicious. I'm so happy that I got to try a different type of pho. The service was great and very attentive became before 9 o'clock and got to see the restaurant change from normal to a Club vibe and it was different and pretty cool Will definitely be coming back read more

I was rolling with the late night vegetarians and needed to find a healthy bite on a late night. I decided to take a chance on Hanoi and was pretty blown away by what we found. Stepping in the first thing that hits you is the ambiance--there's lights, music and even a fog machine popping off. If it wasn't for the smell of food I would've thought we stepped into the club! I dug the vibe though, and sitting down the service was quick and friendly which is always appreciated. They have a large menu, so plenty of options, and I went with a filet mignon pho, some egg rolls and a vegetarian banh mi. I stepped in thinking all the effort was going into the ambiance, but I was wrong. The soup was amazing, and the sandwich and egg rolls were perfect to share. All in all a great spot for a late night pho or healthy bite to eat, would definitely recommend if you don't mind the ambiance! read more
It's 10pm, you're hungry and nowhere else is open for some pho... so I found this place and without even looking at photos I went over, and what an insane surprise, rave + pho??? Who would have thought, such a cool combo! It was filled with strobes and some fog, made a really cool night vibe inside the restaurant, especially since I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't long before I got seated, and the menu is very straight forward. I got ribeye pho and bahn mi, the sandwich was big, definitely not a small size you could split it if you really wanted. But it was flavorful! The broth of the pho was heavenly, and it came with so many noodles, they don't skip out on everything here. Good vibes, good food, and a late night party theme read more

Really enjoyed my dinner here! The whole restaurant has a Hanoi-inspired theme, which I really appreciated since I've been to Hanoi before--it instantly brought back memories. The décor is full of cute details, the wall art is beautiful, and I liked the glass kitchen where you can see everything being made. We ordered the combination pho, combination fried rice, and spring rolls. The pho was the star--SO good. The broth was rich and flavorful, the portion of meat was generous, and all of it was really high quality. The noodles were a little on the soft side, but it still worked well with the dish. The combination fried rice was another hit--big portion, packed with meat and seafood, super satisfying. As for the spring rolls, every pho place makes them a little differently, and here they leaned on the sweeter side, but they were still very tasty. The service was a bit slow--no water refills and our server looked a little tired--but he was very kind and made sure we had everything we asked for without us needing to remind him, which I really appreciated. Overall, this place is a gem. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and definitely worth coming back to. 5/5 from me! read more

Mid pho, expensive entrees, rave vibes, live dj I love the decor of the place with its lego sculptures and statues, but it was hard to see with the rave light visualizers all over the place. I can understand why some people might like it, but not particularly my speed and definitely not what I want when I'm getting late night pho. I was genuinely shocked at the prices being around $17 or $18 dollars for the pho with other entrees being even more expensive. I got their house special pho and it definitely did not look anything like the menus, but I didn't mind as long as it tasted good. As I finished, I felt like they rolled over and asked "Was it good for you too?" while I sit staring at my empty bowl, wholly unsatisfied. The broth of the pho is the main factor that differentiates ok places from great places and Hanoi Kitchen is definitely not the latter. The broth was... weak? watery? light? It didn't feel much different from a $5 bowl of pho except the fact that I had to think I was paying almost 4 times as much for it. It wasn't bad per se, but the disappointment I felt as I kept eating, searching for where my money went, and realizing that this was it was a seasoning that turned a middle of the road pho to ash in my mouth. The beef rib broken rice was pretty good, but compared to other places it was way over priced and the portion was smaller than normal. I liked what I had of it though. read more

I have been to this spot a couple times and I never knew it stays open until 12am. This will now be my new late night food spot. I'm now sure what time they start the music but it's a disco in here!! LOL I 100% recommend this spot who is craving noodles and trying to vibe!! (This is at 10-10:30pm) read more

Came in to order to go at around 11:25pm was told they were "closed" when they have people sitting inside eating. I could understand if we were dining in and they don't want people eating and staying past close, but I guess you can't order to go within 30min of closing was just disappointed that we drove all the way over here. The guy working didn't even say why. I even asked even if we are ordering to go and all he said was "No, we are closed". read more

First thing to mention, the broth!!! Absolutely amazing and very light, the broth was flavorful. I ordered the combo pho and my bf got the seafood, no complaints whatsoever! We were recommended the egg rolls, which were delicious. I enjoyed their fish sauce and assortment of veggies that they included with the rolls. Also had to try the Som Tam (papaya salad) soooo yummy! Service was fast and friendly. The craziest thing to mention is around 9pm they turned the lights down, smoke machine on, music up, and lasers on. Turned into a pho rave! Loved it. Took me by surprise, a new and fun unexpected experience. Good to say that I will be back! read more

Brought hubs here so he could check out the nightclub vibes with the thumping music, lights, and fog machine while enjoying his bowl of pho. He enjoyed his pho and said the broth was flavorful, but noted this may not be the place to go to if looking to have a quiet dinner. This time, I decided to order the Hainam chicken plate and kiddo ordered the Cornish hen plate. Although the flavor was ok for both of them, we both noted that the chicken and hen were on the dry side unfortunately. read more

This place was honestly very delicious. I was very happy with the dish. The broth was warm and full of flavor. The brisket was also great. I like that. These noodles are a little bit thicker than other pho places I go to. I am usually a huge fan of Thai. Tea wasn't so thrilled about the one here, but the Taro tea was great. It's definitely unexperienced for sure with the rave type lights and music. A little bit hard to hear the servers but overall it was great. read more

Highly recommend this place!! Visited during lunch hour for a small celebration date with my wife. What a great choice we made to come here! The place is extremely clean, decor was very nice and they had classical music playing in the background. However, what made it great was wonderful service and amazing food! I had Hanoi Spring Rolls along with Hanoi BBQ Pork (extra meat). Wife had Bun Cha Hanoi. All 3 dishes were excellent. Taste was perfectly on point and servings were consistent with price charged. If you're ever in the area or just craving some traditional northern Vietnamese food, don't hesitate to give this place a try! read more

This place is criminally underrated - there should be way more people here on a Saturday night. The Bun Bo Hue and the Bun Dau Mam Tom were both good with good portions of meat and vegetables and noodles, and the decor was really nice - brought someone from Vietnam here and she really liked it too. read more

Ambiance in here is definitely a vibe. Service was great, fast, and accommodating. Very clean inside. Food was delicious! I ordered the filet mignon pho with the salt and pepper shrimp appetizer. Broth was delicious on its own, very fresh. The portion for the meat was very deceiving. On the menu it had 10 shrimps and it looked grilled but I got a 6 crispy shrimp for 10.95 :') I checked in for a free coke read more

The food here is mostly Northern style, which makes sense because that is where Hanoi is geographically. I got the A2 egg rolls and A4 shrimp and pork spring rolls, and both were good appetizers to start. The egg rolls are especially crunchy and the spring rolls were satisfactory with enough filling of pork and shrimp inside. They seem to be on the pricier side at $6.95 and $7.95, respectively, for an order of 2 rolls. I got the E1 - Bun Cha Hanoi, which is fairly unique as I don't really see this item often if at all, when I made my rounds to some of the restaurants in OC (specifically Garden Grove / Westminster). It was my first time trying it and I enjoyed it. The soup is a little bit on the saltier side but also sweet - super fragrant with the fish sauce and garlic. There are some meatballs and pork too, which were also very flavorful. You scoop the vegetables like bean sprouts, lettuce, etc in and some of the vermicelli to soak up the flavor and you enjoy it. I also tried B0 bun bo hue which was good but I have had better - the soup is a bit more fishy that I would have anticipated. The C5 shaken chicken was also decent, a little bit of sweet and sour flavor. Minimal service as to be expected. I would have docked 1 star on that but in the end, the server did bring a water jug to refill my water cup as it has been mostly empty for the duration of the meal. At least having a server walking around and noticing someone flagging down would have been good. read more
