It's 10pm, you're hungry and nowhere else is open for some pho... so I found this place and without even looking at photos I went over, and what an insane surprise, rave + pho??? Who would have thought, such a cool combo! It was filled with strobes and some fog, made a really cool night vibe inside the restaurant, especially since I didn't know what to expect. It wasn't long before I got seated, and the menu is very straight forward. I got ribeye pho and bahn mi, the sandwich was big, definitely not a small size you could split it if you really wanted. But it was flavorful! The broth of the pho was heavenly, and it came with so many noodles, they don't skip out on everything here. Good vibes, good food, and a late night party theme

What a relaxing experience. We walked into this restaurant on the way to Palm Springs and stopped by for some Vietnamese food. Upon walking in, we were welcomed with soothing music, the kind of music I put on when I'm looking for cozy The entire place is very well lit up with Christmas spirit which included lights, Christmas reefs, Santa Claus dolls and beautiful flowers. My bang mi sandwich was great and so was my wife's meal called shaken beef. Our server was quick to serve us and we were back on our way. It was such an unexpected delicious Vietnamese meal experience. Highly recommend.

Located in a small shopping center is this amazing establishment. Probably on of the top bahn mi I've had in a while. The service was fast and the atmosphere is inviting. I would definitely come here again to try the other items on the menu. We tried the BBH and Bahn Mi. Both very delicious

This place is in the strangest location off the freeway but I love the atmosphere! It's like a noodle rave room Delicious Vietnamese dishes, I especially like the lemongrass tofu Boyfriend loved the beef chow mien and fish cake Perfect place for date night despite the music being loud, there's great privacy for conversation

Vietnamese food open late, everybody! They have a good variety on their menu. Love when restaurants have a kitchen that you can see. They play music and have neon lights- club vibes in here Its a cute restaurant! Friendly service

Nothing but rave reviews as Hanoi Kitchen continues to serve up great and flavorful Viet cuisine. Tonight I took my daughter and she has a shrimp pasta and salted caramel iced coffee drink. I ordered phó dac biet and a banh xeo along with a Hanoi variation of a spring roll. I wasn't crazy about the roll, but everything else was delicious. At 9 PM, the waiter put small table lamps on each table and a light show with techno-pop music kicked in. This was a new experience for us but apparently the word is out because a younger crowd began to come in. Hanoi Kitchen is open til 12, so this could be a thing. I did not find the atmosphere annoying nor intrusive; I was mildly intrigued. We will be back

Loved it! Food was delicious. I also love the vibe of this place! Maybe not the music, it's like I'm at the spa, made me sleepy Everything is clean, service is fast and they are friendly!

Pretty good. Very good prices on both the lamb chops and the banh mi. I enjoyed the char on the lamb chops and the seasoning was pretty good / mas o menos. I really enjoyed their banh mi. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place is awesome! The inside is decorated really well, it's both cozy and eccentric. The owner has great taste in murals and mega statues. The food was so yummy! their service was attentive, they clearly had many regulars, and I am so excited to soon go back!

I was working in the area and saw Hanoi Kitchen and wanted a Banh Mi so I stopped in. I don't think there's another place in Claremont, south of the 10 fwy, that sells Banh Mi so that's one reason you should go. Their Banh Mi comes in more of a bolillo than a baguette and it tasted fresh. I got the grilled beef Banh Mi and the meat had great flavor, but was a little tougher than I'm used to. I usually get Banh Mi's from Che Cali and I find that their meat is easy to bite through and flavorful. Hanoi's is flavorful, just a little bit a of a pull to break the meat apart, but it's not that bad. I also tried their shrimp and beef spring roll and thought it was fine. Parking was easy to find out front. Inside I was a little confused with the decor, but overall it's fun. There's a Lego Mario at the counter, no clue why, but it's a fun statement piece. Definitely a popular spot for work lunches in the area.

My Mom, one of my younger brothers, and a dear family friend were having a comfort meal at Hanoi Kitchen after a friend's funeral. I came here to pick up my Mom. It's quite spacious and long inside. The first thing that caught my attention was the beautiful wall art decor of Vietnam! It's so colorful and I can sense it is telling its history and stories. It's pretty neat! As I was waiting for my Mom, I flipped through the menu. I was curious what they have. Staff was super friendly. The nice gentleman answered my questions. Thank you young man! I found out this place serves North Vietnam foods and flavors which was intriguing. I ended up ordering 1 Banh Cuon and 1 Pho Chicken. The banh cuon took about 20 mins because it's made to order which was fine with me. It had lots of pork and wood ear filling in a thin layer of steamed rice roll. There were several rolls served with meatloaf and herbs plus bean sprouts along with fish sauce. It was divinely delicious. So was the Pho Chicken. Yum, yum! I saw the chicken oil in the soup. White chicken meat was tender. Herbs were very fresh. It's the real deal. I wish the portions was a bit bigger though. Anyhoo, I would get both items again! Funny, I didn't know this Vietnamese restaurant was here in Claremont until that day. I'll be back here to dine in and try more North Vietnam dishes. Happy Dining!

I was craving Bun Bo Hue but the daughter who runs the place said her mom is still in the back making it which takes over ten hours because they slow cook pork bones to make the fabulous broth. Totally not an issue with me since they offer so many other authentic dishes. This time I got the Shrimp, Pork and Pork Hock Bahn Cahn. Bahn Cahn is a Vietnamese udon noodle soup. These udon noodles are thick, chewy and made with tapioca or rice flour. It's different than Japanese udon. The soup was light yet umami and the pork hock was fall off the bone tender. Delicious. Even better with their chili oil, which they also make in house. It's not on the table so make sure to ask for that, it has a complex lemongrass flavor and is divine! They also have another chili oil (the one with the pink cap) that's not made in house but is extremely spicy if you want to amp up the heat. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here and can't wait to be back!

The best thing is their tom kha soup, soooo flavorful and filled with lots of chicken and mushrooms, highly recommend. Another great item were their fried chicken wings, very good and crispy and the sauce they give is super tasty. Their pad see ew was also very good, packed with beef and moist. The trout (kinda pricey depending on the seasonal price it was $23) was good as well, the lightness and freshness of their vegetable pickled slaw really cut thru their super crispy oiled fish. The duck was good, but it was super gamey, more than I'd like, the spinach was sautéed nicely tho. The chicken larb was our least favorite, it was way too sweet and just tasted like batter to me, the flavor was just off, we didn't even take home the leftovers. Their Thai coffee was hella sweet, like super sweet, Idk if I would get that again. Their mango sticky rice was $14 and honestly it was just ok, I've had better. Overall the service was quick, the place is clean overall, it does get crowded bc I can see why, the prices are reasonable and there is a lot of options of food. We would come back if we are in the area. Oh and ps just so u know parking is horrible, if u park on a wrong area u will get towed. They warn you multiple times to be careful where u park. The exterior could use some love--there's graffiti on the walls, and the outside feels a bit unwelcoming. But don't let that deter you. We tried the roasted chicken and shrimp vermicelli, which were fresh and flavorful, with perfectly cooked shrimp and tender, savory chicken. The standout drinks were the house lemonade and Thai tea--both were delicious and balanced, not too sweet but refreshing and packed with flavor. The entrance is a little hard to spot as it's not like a typical store front, it's more of a hut, with straw walls that you need to identify to go in. The outdoors section is covered by an awning and the indoor tea-sipping area has deep set couch-like chairs. Several events are hosted here like poetry readings, and it's lovely to see the community that shows up here. The selection of tea is very fun to shop through--there are different sections like medicinal to mood-based teas (I've uploaded a few that I found quirky and delightful). You can buy a packet of the tea leaves, or find the flavor you want and then tell the counter who'll brew up a cup for you (hot or cold). My gripe here (and why I removed a star) is that they don't explain what the notes/composition of the tea are, and when I asked the server, he said he didn't know either (which felt odd given how expansive this tea shop is). I recommend parking anywhere in the Claremont village and then walking over, as it's a little hidden and few spaces in the lot adjacent to it.
