    Every bite was freaking great!

Still the best cheesesteak I've ever had. Can't rave enough about their onions either. Definitely a heavy food but an amazing treat once in a while. I love this place.

Can never go wrong eating at West Coast Cheesesteaks. We were craving fast food but not the usual chains and decided on West Coast Cheesesteaks. They honestly have some of the best cheesesteaks and the meat is well seasoned and flavorful. The cheese sauce is also very flavorful as well. We shared the large west coast cheesesteak and cheesy tots both with chipotle cheese sauce added to it and it was more than enough for two people. It was absolutely delicious! The cheesy sauce was a bit on the saltier end since the tots and the sandwich were both drenched in it but it was good. Next time we plan to order the sandwich with provolone instead of the cheese sauce. Service was excellent! The workers there are really kind and provided us with paper bowls and utensils since they knew we were sharing. There's some seating inside and outside the shop, but the shop is small. Plenty of parking located in the plaza with other shared businesses. Would highly recommend!

My husband and I love this place! They have the best cheesesteak sandwiches and we love the onion rings!

Love this place! Ate there today and it never disappoints! Great food and great service! Love the onion rings too! Everything is fresh and made to order!

"West Coast Cheesesteak" with steak and provolone cheese

My guy picked up and brought me food from here and he said the smell that filled his car was incredibly distracting. We got the "West Coast Cheesesteak" with steak and provolone cheese. It was packed with juicy meat! I do wish there were some more veggies mixed in and a bit more cheese, but I can't complain too much about the size. I really enjoyed every bite of this cheesesteak! We also got some Tater Tots that were, surprisingly, still crazy crispy when we had them. Unfortunately, they were dripping in oil to the point where you could really taste it. I understand that's what it takes to make them this crispy, but it felt gross eating them.

What I ate - Chili cheese fries: Fries were just ok, pretty limp and soggy by the time I got home. The chili was flavorful but not the absolute best I've ever had - Onion rings: These were outrageously good. Super crispy and well battered. One order was very generous, enough for 2-3 people I think Pros: - Menu was small but had a nice mix of things - Staff was super friendly - Onion rings were yummy! - Price was right Cons: - Parking in front of the restaurant was pretty annoying. The spots were tight, and right in front of one of the parking lot entrances, so there were lots of cars trying to get in and out of the lot. This made it difficult to get out of the lot - While there were a handful of tables, it seemed like the majority of people were getting their meals for takeout Would I come again? Probably not as I'm not that close

Recently had the chance to try this place and I can see why they're so highly rated on yelp. I didn't expet their menu to be small, but that was better for a person like me who gets overwhelmed by too many options. I ordered their West Coast Cheesesteak with the chipotle cheese - no mushrooms and jalapenos. Although that took away like half the ingredients that typically go with the sandwich, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The amount of the ingredients were perfect as I could taste everything with each bite. On top of their sandwich, I also got to try their chili cheese fries with the chipotle cheese and their chili tater tots with poblano cheese. After the initial bite of the fries, it reminded me of Weinerschnitzel. Now I'm not sure if that's offensive or not, but I was fine with it either way. The tots with the poblano on the other hand wasn't quite doing it well for me. I'm pretty sure it was the cheese sauce that kind of ruined it for me, but I'm sure if it was the chipotle or the cheddar, I would have liked it a lot more.

West Coast Cheesesteaks came to mind when someone said their cheesesteaks were yummy and delicious. My two favorite words when it comes to food LOL. So what happens next? I start heading over here that's what... They are located in the Lone Hill Shopping Center in the City of Glendora. Please note they are on the Foothill Blvd side facing west and not on the Lone Hill Ave side. They are between Starbucks and Pho Rib. Free parking is plenty at the center. It's not a very big restaurant. Both inside and outside seatings are present. No public restrooms. Upon entry, there was only one customer ahead of me. Wait was not long at all. Joshua was very friendly and informative on their menu items. Service was impeccable. Since I don't eat beef anymore, my only other option was chicken or veggie (thank you for these options!). I got the West Coast Cheesesteak with chicken plus provolone cheese. OMG... it was amazingly yummy and delicious! SO SO GOOD! Flavor was on point. Love the slight kick of spice. Lots of chicken. Portion was huge. Joshua was kind to give me a small sample of each of their housemade cheese sauces... cheddar, poblano, and chipotle. Thank you Joshua! They were all so good. I should have gotten my cheesesteak with their cheese sauce instead... for sure next time. I love mango! And I love icee! When I saw Mango Icee, my eyes lit up... one please LOL. Too bad it was just okay. I was really hoping to like it, but I didn't get much mango flavor unfortunately. I am so glad I got to try their amazing chicken cheesesteak. Highly recommend this place 110%! I'm already planning my next visit to get more chicken and veggie cheesesteaks with cheddar, poblano, and chipotle cheese sauces plus tater tots and onion rings. You know it. See you here!

Wow, these cheesesteak sandwiches are the best I've had. It's all you can ever ask for, simple but great flavor and packed with meat. I get the steak west coast cheese steak with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and provolone. The meat is tender and juicy with savory goodness. The large is a perfect size to eat half and save the other half for later. The bread they use is amazing, it's both soft but has a good bite to it. Upon reheating it the next day, the sandwich tasted just as good and the bread wasn't soggy at all. My husband doesn't like mushrooms so their classic cheesesteak sandwich hits the spot for him too. I love their cheesy tots as well and it's nice that they wait until you physically arrive to the restaurant to add the sauce. I love a place that values preserving the crispiness of tater tots! Ordering from their website is easy and they make the food within 10-15 minutes.

It's quite apropos that there's a small set of steps in front of West Coast Cheesesteaks. Why?! -Because the cheesesteaks are good enough to transport you directly to America's former capital city, Philadelphia; -And, after you've two-fisted your way through this decadent, toothsome and rib-sticking sandwich, you'll wanna make like ROCKY BALBOA and do a celebratory sprint up those very same stairs! Your favorite Yelp correspondent loves a well made cheesesteak, has enjoyed authentic ones from both Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's in the City of Brotherly Love plus every west coast -no pun intended!- variant of the same. Philly's Best, Charley's Cheesesteaks and the Bronx Deli. And several others. I'm here to proclaim (loudly!) that West Coast Cheesesteaks makes the very best Philly style cheesesteak...that I've ever enjoyed on, well, the West Coast. I ordered the West Coast Special, size large. It features the obligatory razor-thin slices of certified angus beef, onions, mushrooms, peppers, jalapeños and your choice of several cheeses (provolone, cheddar, poblano and chipotle). I'm a purist, so I selected provolone for mine. The bread is undoubtedly like a good woman- Strong and sturdy enough to cradle its copious fillings, yet soft enough to engender affection. Lovingly dusted with cornmeal, which creates a wonderful final textural note for your mouth. The taste had me grinning like a banshee at my good fortune. Owner/Chefs Michael and Jessica have clearly done their homework. The ratio of steak to onions to peppers/shrooms seems mathematically precise and extremely well balanced. Ditto with the melted provolone. Can't tellya how many pretend hoagies I've had where the portions are outtve balance and you wind up with an overpriced cheese or mushroom-forward sando. Size-wise? You'll get your hard-earned money's worth. These are not the slightly thin, fluted hoagies churned out by Philly's Best nor will they try to be cute and hide the (pricier) meat under a blanket of cheese and onions (looking at you, Charley's!). West Coast Cheesesteaks are bona fide TWO-FISTERS! Lovingly crammed to its depths with unctuous layers of equal flavors that actually complement each other. The service I experienced during my visit was exemplary. The young man (no visible name tag but dark haired with a sleight frame) who took my order was very nice. He repeated my order back to me for accuracy and even graciously offered me a water cup during my brief (less than 5 mins) wait. Today's meal cost $19.27, incl taxes and tip. In closing, I'll say that I wanna pinch myself. I mean, your correspondent here has in the past been known to risk missing a connecting flight during a layover at PHL (Philadelphia Airport) to hire a cabby to drive me the ten miles to Pat's King of Steaks then WAIT FOR MY ORDER! So devoted I was that I just hadta have one, trip potentially damned! (Eagle-eyed Yelpers: This preceded 9/11 and the subsequent airport security changes governing reentry, etc). So to learn I can now recreate the divine, uniquely Philly experience of enjoying WELL MADE cheesesteaks without flying to Pennsylvania? And it's only eight or so miles from my Diamond Bar home??! Quick! Where are those steps?! I'm ready to sprint up 'em, arms propelled skyward in triumph.

I really, really like this place! The guys working there seemed to get along well with each other and the cheesesteaks are filling! My cheesesteak was made to order fairly quickly and it was delicious! It was very close to the cheesesteaks I've had in Philly, PA! I also decided to add tots with it and they gave me so many I barely made a dent in them. The place isn't very big, but there are seats inside and out to dine. I also like that horchata is a beverage option.

I came here for the hype... and I wish it lived up to it. This spot fell short on multiple fronts. The largest and most important one was the flavor profile of the meat. I really wanted to like it. I got the 'Classic' Cheesesteak... bread was good, I will admit the cheese sauce was great. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to carry the flavorless beef. Service was great and helpful. Vibe had an authenticity that felt promising. Yet... the meal was dismal at best. I would not go back based on the sandwich I had.

They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but that's a downer. Let's go with this instead: the road to heaven is paved with sandwiches from West Coast Cheesesteaks. That feels better. I'm not sure why you'd walk on them instead of eat them, but let's not stretch the metaphor any further. These cheesesteaks are the best of both worlds--classic enough to keep the purists happy, but with fun twists for adventurous eaters. (Poblano cheese sauce? Chipotle?Yes, please.) The rolls are perfectly balanced--soft yet sturdy--and the portions are just right. This is a very tasty cheesesteak. Customer service was on point too. Why are you still reading this? The place already has great reviews. People drive to Glendora for these, for heaven's sake. Go get one. And if you're eating one right now, well... you already know. Also, wipe the cheese sauce off your phone, you animal.

Does the cheese sauce contain gluten? Thanks!

So I've tried both the Cheddar and Chipotle - both of which are great (im partial to the cheddar as it reminds me the most of Philly and the wiz). However, will you guys (WC) ever bring White American cheese - it's a North Philly staple?

Thank you Kevin for being a customer and your question! So yes our cheddar sauce is our version of the Philly Wiz and we offer sliced provolone(popular slice cheese for WC) as an option for people who don’t like a cheese sauce on their cheesesteaks…

Is it worth driving from montebello to try these cheesesteaks out?

    Yes!!

Is the cheese sauce similar to cheese wiz? Same cheese they usually have at legit philly cheesesteaks spots? I've been to Philly a couple times so I'm hoping I can get a legit cheesesteak around these parts of town.

Thank you for your question Kevin. Our cheddar cheese is our version of the philly cheese whiz. We make our cheese sauces fresh every morning so they don’t have preservatives like the cheese whiz . We pay homage to philly for creating the…

Charley's Cheesesteaks likes to tout the cravability of its meal by affixing huge "Crave Quench" slogans across the sturdy 14" x 8" cardboard vessels the chain uses to dispatch their hoagies in. The deeply experienced cheesesteak connoisseur in me, who has sampled both Pat's and Geno's in Philadelphia along with very credible So Cal purveyors of the Philly Hoagie art¹, feels like tucking his tail between his legs...For permitting himself to be fooled into squandering $14.48 plus tax on this sandwich. ¹ Especially when the uncrowned champion of Southern Cali Cheesesteaks, West Coast Cheesesteaks, sits one mile north on Lone Hill! BUT had just closed for the evening, five minutes prior to my 7:05pm order time. Not all about my visit was dissatisfactory: The customer service delivered to me by the two young men who took, cooked and delivered my order was excellent. They were polite, friendly and efficient. The store was clean and very presentable, even in spite of the 7pm dinner hour crowd who'd crowded into the cozy wee lobby to order. And the aforementioned packaging that Charley's utilizes is nonpareil...should be the standard for all take out hoagies, everywhere! Seriously! In 2026, places like Philly's Best and West Coast can surely do better than sliding their moneymaker into a paper sleeve! But in those three enduring hallmarks that we diners use to decide whether we'll return -that's taste, texture and value for money- Charley's Cheesesteaks made more like Charley Brown and...muffed the kick! Taste- The sole change I made to my L Philly Cheesesteak was to strip out the mushrooms, tomatoes and lettuce. The first because I've never liked 'shrooms and the latter two because it's an abomination to put such "cold sando" staples on a hot hoagie! The meat tasted extra salty and you could scarcely taste, let alone FIND, any of the provolone cheese I'd requested. Texture- The texture of the bread was a colossal letdown. It was soggy, slightly salty and lacked the heft to adequately support its contents! They also were missing those indelible tiny seeds that you'll find on any hoagie made by West Coast Cheesesteaks or the Bronx Deli. Value- I have NO PROBLEM spending hard-earned lucre on well made meals. I don't blanch at dropping two Jacksons ($40) for a duo of L cheesesteaks and an order of legendary onion rings from that rival purveyor up Lone Hill... But when the CALIBER of your sandwich is so underwhelming that even your voracious 21yr old youngest son -who'd normally quaff half a hoagie in four bites then proudly belch- takes a bite, grimaces then says "Dad, I think the Frenchies will love this in their dinner tonight." ... ... Suddenly that $16.91 incl tax and courtesy tip seems like a squandered purchase. So in sum, after tonight's dud of a meal, my appetite was not "quenched" and the lone thing I was left "craving" was the rival restaurant's cheesesteaks!
