Black Bean Soup, Potstickers and Green Milk Tea
    Hailey C.

Cute spot with free wifi! They also serve Taiwanese food in addition to milk tea drinks. You can get combo meals that come with entree, milk tea and a side dish such as potstickers. I enjoyed their black bean noodle soup. They have a few seats with outlets as well so it's great for studying working on your laptop. Service is also very efficient!

    Matcha Hokkaido Milk Tea

I ordered the matcha Hokkaido milk tea yet I received watered down creamy milk.. Im disappointed and it was a waste of money. The rest of my order was good but I 100% would NOT recommend their matcha drinks...

I used to love this café. As a college student, I was a regular and would come here all the time to study. The main reason I stopped coming is because of the consistent unfriendliness from the barista with colored hair and glasses. She is always rude for no reason and communicates everything with an unnecessarily harsh tone. For example, since I came so often, I expected at least a little bit of patience. One time, I came in to study while waiting for my boyfriend to arrive so that we could order together. She came up to me multiple times as I was sitting down, rushing me to order, and was rude even after I explained I was waiting for someone. The drinks here are genuinely good that's why I always chose this place over every other boba spot in Azusa. However, my most recent experience is what pushed me to finally leave a final review. It was 8 PM, and they close at 9 PM. My boyfriend and I wanted drinks with honey boba. She said, "Let me see if we have boba," which was surprising because boba is their most popular topping. With an hour left until closing, how is there not enough boba? She checked and said there was enough for two drinks if we got "light boba." I found that insulting because why would we pay full price for the topping but receive less of it? If they're giving less product, there should at least be a discount for the inconvenience. We decided to take our business elsewhere. When we let her know, she responded in a rude tone again, insisting we "could still get boba," even though it wasn't the amount we wanted. There's no reason to pay for a drink that wasn't going to be made how we wanted it. The way she handled the situation was dismissive and unprofessional. Overall, her attitude and lack of customer service completely ruin what used to be one of my favorite boba spots. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back because her behavior reflects poorly on the business. Anyways, we decided to go to BobaPop Tea Bar that was less than 1 minute away and they were able to fulfill our request of honey boba.

A nice little cafe in Azusa with an array of teas, coffees, and bites to eat! + tasty drinks + popcorn chicken is great. I also enjoy the curry as well! +/- beef donburi tasted good but portion of the beef was definitely small + easy parking, open lot shared with other businesses + clean restroom + free Wi-Fi + great place to do work + great for nearby students to catch or up work on homework + they have a happy hour with drink/food special

My daughter attends APU and she discovered this cute little cafe across the street from the University when she started last year. I finally tried it with her while waiting for a show to start at the school and now I'd say we are regulars. My daughter switches her drink every time and I usually get a Milk tea which is perfectly made every time. Popcorn chicken, sesame balls and lumpia are a few of our favs! I mean come on....they have lumpia, I was sold, haha. We love this place and will continue to support this small business. Customer service is always excellent and it's always clean inside!

Probably the worst popcorn chicken that I ever had. Tastes like rubber (hot rubber) and no flavor. End up throwing it away. Waste of money.

    Taiwanese Sausage was great

We came to Citrus college for an event and happened to find this place on Yelp. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and shown the large menu of choices. After ordering, we found a seat in this cozy restaurant, which was well lit and clean. There's free WiFi and it's a nice friendly atmosphere inside. The food came quickly and was the perfect temperature. The flavors were authentic and exactly what we were hoping for. They give a frequency card for the drinks too, so come back for more bonuses. Also, the boba was just made so it was nice and warm at the bottom of the ice drink--boba was a good texture/chewiness. ----TL;DR---- Pros: friendly service, orders came out quickly and were flavorful and the perfect temperature. Prices are reasonable. Cons: small-ish place so if you have a large party it might be limited on seating if it's peak hours. Bottom Line: loved it here and would love to come back again. If you crave Taiwanese Sausage and popcorn chicken, definitely stop in.

The store is located in a little plaza by the in n out. Found parking easily. I tried the army stew pot, beef donburi and strawberry yogurt drink. Yes, triple digit weather and ordered the stew...and still tasted fantastic haha. On the spicier side so we had said to make mild. Donburi was also good but i really liked the stew. The strawberry yogurt drink was not too sweet and pretty refreshing in this weather. Service is top notch. She would come to check on us. And the decor inside was very cute.

I visited Cafe Bungalow today with my sister. The sweet potato fries and vanilla latte were great, which is why I'm giving it three stars. However, I'm not rating it higher due to the customer service. My sister took a small table to read, and I took a larger one nearby to work, since it had more space for my stuff. When I first arrived, the large table was dirty, and since the barista was busy, I decided to clean it myself. But the barista then shouted at me, telling me not to move the plates and to put them back. I think there was a more polite way to handle that, as I was only trying to help. The situation got stranger when she served us our drinks. She asked my sister if she wanted to move to my larger table to make room for more customers. My sister and I were already settled in, with all of our things out, and there were hardly any other customers in the shop at the time (see attached picture). There were 16 seats open. We were confused and didn't move, but the barista seemed annoyed. I ended up staying for a few more hours, and the shop never got crowded. This interaction made both my sister and I uncomfortable. My sister, who is a barista herself, said she would never ask a customer to move in that way.

Small place but plenty of seating.

Great service, friendly staff all the time! I've had the chicken and shrimp fried rice, imo the shrimp is better. I've had a mango slushee and it was delicious! I usually go do homework there. It can start quiet but can get loud, it just depends on the customers/children. They have a couple of board games to play with. The vibes are great! They also have a stamp cards for drinks only, don't forget to get one!

A simple and nice tea place with good eats and drinks. Came on a Friday night and wasn't too busy. We ordered through the kiosk and sat in the restaurant. These are what I had. Wintermelon Milk Tea - Was a solid milk tea and wasn't overly sweet. I was good. (4.5/5) Beef Donburi - This tasted good but I think it lacked content. Too little beef, it definitely needs more. This is pretty small portions so you may need to add a few snacks on the side. (4/5) Popcorn chicken rice with curry - Now this is good. Popcorn chicken was crispy and with curry on the side it really hit. I got the extra spicy curry and it was a tad spicy but not too bad. This is a must get! (5/5) Overall the food and drinks were solid. I didn't really like that the food came out on paper plates since it didn't really look as nice but the drink came is a cute cup. I'd be back to try more of their tasty snacks.

Curry fries needed more curry seasoning
    Dewi A.

I'd rate this cafe 2.5 stars -- the pros: plenty of seating, staff were friendly, and there is a variety of both food and drinks on the menu. However, the cons were the drinks were not made up to par -- they were either too sweet or SEVERELY lacking in any real flavor. For example, the pumpkin chai latte, both hot and iced, tasted more milky and creamy than anything else; it needed more pumpkin syrup and chai flavor. The sour cream and onion fries were anything but! Instead of the flavor you'd typically associate with 'sour cream and onion,' the fries tasted like they were dusted in cinnamon. They were sweet! The curry fries needed more curry powder -- the staff seemed to have dusted only the top. So when you dig in, the fries at the bottom are devoid of any curry seasoning. How about coating the fries more evenly? We had to ask for more curry powder. The fries in general could be crispier -- most of them were soggy ... who likes bland, soggy fries? The fried mushrooms had a very strange, CHEWY texture. Flavor was OK, but the chewiness may throw some people off. What kind of mushrooms are these?! The beef lumpia were very thin, and honestly for the price of these food and drink items, nothing here is worth the money. We don't mind forking over money if the items we spent on are actually GOOD. Everything just missed the mark here, which is really a shame. There are many, many boba shops around that offer better.

    (L) Rose yogurt, (R) Lavender milk tea

I really like the Bon Appetea in Alhambra on Main Street and saw that Cafe Bungalow is a concept from Bon, I'm assuming, so decided to check out the cafe Ordered 3 things: fried tofu, rose yogurt, and lavender milk tea Fried Tofu: 5/5, so crispy, loved it! Lavender MT: 5/5, so good, tastes just like the one served in Alhambra! Rose Yogurt with boba: 4/5, no complaints on the drink, it's a nice light floral yogurt drink but the reason why it's not a full score is because the boba could be better. Texture was not as chewy nor [honey/brown sugar] flavored as other cafes and it also got hard fairly quick in the cool ice drink. The boba either isn't cooked long enough or chilled long enough which could be the reason why the boba got hard pretty quick Servers were friendly :)

She looked at me and said, I don't know. And she just sat, like I was bothering her. I said, you don't know? Is there a way to check? She asked if I wanted to know the ingredients. I said yes. She finally got up, went into the back and took a picture of the ingredients. Ingredients were acceptable. I ordered 30% ice. My daughter ordered 100% ice. Same flavor. At the end of our drinks, I had more ice than my daughter. How does that work? I picked up the drinks and said, just showing you. I have more ice left over than my daughter. Her response? Well, it keeps the drinks colder, longer. I drink fast. I just wanted a little ice. (Here it is, 4 hours later and I still have ice! ) I was given the option of how much ice I wanted. I gave my choice and it was ignored. Then, I was met with rudeness. I am sure she has potential. She just needs to learn to listen to customers and not be rude. And it might help if your store was better staffed. Oh, and the drink was good.

Pandan Matcha Latte 12 oz…read more I ordered the pandan matcha and initially didn't realize it only came in a 12-ounce size. When I asked if I could get it as a large, I was told it only came in the 12 oz, so I decided not to get it. Then the barista offered another option adding pandan cold foam on top instead. I very clearly asked (twice) if that version would be a large, and she said yes. Since that worked for me, I agreed to the second option. I stepped out briefly to use the restroom, but theirs was closed, so I had to walk over to Stater Bros. When I came back, to my surprise, the drink was still a small. I was disappointed because I had specifically confirmed that the customized option would be a large. At that point, I felt rushed like they were more eager to close and go home than to fix the mistake so I didn't feel I had much of a choice but to take it. I paid $10 for a small drink, which felt unreasonable, especially considering the miscommunication. To make matters worse, the drink didn't really taste like pandan at all. Overall, the customer service felt very off at this location. I'd rather go to the San Gabriel location, where I've had a much better experience.

Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) is a college student tourist trap. I arrived at Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) on Sunday (around 2:54PM). Parking is easy. The shared private lot is busy; however, there's plenty of spots. This business is across from Azusa Pacific University. Staff's friendly and welcoming demeanor was this experience's highlight. I was brightly welcomed when I entered. Staff (receipt said Hanlin) also helped me when I had questions. Customers can order on the self-service kiosk or counter. My drink took one minute and 26 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I ordered the Pearl Milk Tea ($6.05). This drink's default ingredients are non-dairy creamer, boba pearls, and "milk tea." It's a drink that makes me more annoyed the more I reflect upon it. The drink is affordable & large. In addition, it's a faint sweetness at "regular sugar." However, the drink primarily tastes like poorly flavored water. Most frustrating were their old boba pearls. These boba pearls had signs of being frozen and defrosted as they broke into congealed, rubbery chunks with each bite. Their outer later was also spongey (bordering on gloopy). And these squishy boba lacked any sweetness. There were moments where I genuinely pondered about throwing the beverage into the trashcan. Concerning ambiance, Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) had a clean floor but dirty tables. Some tables were smudgy, and others were covered in visible crumbs. Glancing at the glass entrance, I can also see smudgy marks on their unclean windows. Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) feels like a half-abandoned passion project. However, I did like the airy ventilation, three vibrant claw machines, and cheerful upbeat music. This location also includes a gender neutral restroom for customers. Overall, Coco Tea Bar (Azusa) is an affordable, cute, & somewhat-dirty location that sells cheap-tasting drinks. I left disappointed and a little disgusted. 2.4 out of 5

Genuine, pleasant surprise shook me... it's TASTY! I felt awake as I sipped this smooth, premium coffee. I arrived at Kristos Coffee (Azusa) on Tuesday (around 9:35AM). Parking is very easy if familiar with its location. Kristos Coffee (Azusa) is hidden alongside the Lemon Zest business's backside; Kristos Coffee has its own shared lot. There's also street parking. (Quick Note: Shockingly, Kristo Coffee is wedged between two Azusa coffee juggernauts [i.e. Pressed + Flower, Penny Coffee Roasters], yet it still confidently competes.) Staff is professional, charming, and hardworking. Staff briskly welcomed me, and Staff answered all my questions with a calm, relaxed demeanor. Staff is also very attentive. My drink took three minutes and 15 seconds. Good time. As mentioned, I enjoyed my Teddy Latte ($8.75 - 20oz - Iced). After my first sip, I fought the urge to scream in joy. This iced coffee tastes crisp and clean; it deftly avoids that gloopy processed taste. Rather, I smiled as its fresh coffee roast flavor and slumbering sweetness playfully slapped me across the cheek. With a relaxed sigh, the aftertaste of brown sugar and cinnamon stretched lithely. I felt awake and happy. Concerning ambiance, Kristos Coffee (Azusa) is currently an order-and-go spot. Its interior is bare bones. There's no restroom; there's no bottle of hand sanitizer; and there's no customer internet. Rather, it's one tiny round table and a small counter. There's also one available electrical outlet. Still, I appreciated the interior's cleanliness and upbeat music. Overall, Kristos Coffee (Azusa) is a story of passion and quality. Despite the bad visibility and hefty coffee competitors, Kristos works hard to provide useful, flavorful coffee to the community. If curious, I wholeheartedly recommend. 4.8 out of 5. "GO!!"

I had to work late last night, so I stopped to get a bowl with 3 scoops of salmon so I would be full for the rest of the day. The girl who helped me seemed really new, and was left all by herself, and was really nice, but when I got back to work, there was no sauce at all. It was on my receipt, but it wasn't on the food, not on the side, not anywhere. So what I basically had was a pile of raw salmon and dry white rice and toppings. I tried to eat it, but it was super dry and sticky, and I couldn't go back to just get the sauce because I couldn't leave work. I left it in the fridge and took a picture the next day, and took the picture and my receipt back to see if I could get a replacement bowl, or my money back. The guy behind the register had to call his manager, who told him he was only allowed to give me a side cup of the sauce. Which didn't do me any good now, because I wasn't comfortable eating raw fish the day after I ordered it. I only kept the original bowl to be able to take the picture, so they knew I didn't eat it and was just trying to get a new bowl for free. So no replacement bowl, and no money back. I paid $20, including tip, and ended up just eating that payment. Really, really frustrating. If you're going to have new workers with no manager around, you should have a better system of correcting errors when they happen. Offering a free drink or dessert even would have been better than nothing, but their solution was just for me to take the new side sauce and eat raw fish a day later. The food is good, so I may still go back in the future, but I'll definitely be much more likely to check everything is correct before I go.

Sharkii's itself is inside the Walmart and they have a frequent buyer club linked to your phone number my family loves this because they get multiple drinks and deals on them every so often. The seating area is clean, clear of distractions and peaceful. And again the service by Jackie was exemplary she works independently and takes tremendous pride in doing her best it truly shows!
