We had a great dinner at Dok Luck Thai a cozy local spot. We shared the spicy and sour seafood soup, The flavors were spot on, though we would have loved a few more pieces of shrimp. Craving for Pad Thai. Decided to try this little family owned restaurant. I believe it's a husband and wife team. The man was very friendly with warmth welcoming. Was ordering to go... since there were tables available, decided to dine-in. The Pad Thai was little sweet to my taste; I squeezed a slice of lime and voila....the tangy juice complemented the sweetness of the Pad Thai were perfect. Ingredients were fresh...bean sprouts, Chicken, and noodles cooked perfectly. It was delicious and satisfying to my taste buds. Parking is plenty and they accept credit cards. Haven't gone to this place for a while, but since I was craving Thai food and the place we were going to was closed we went to this one. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The lunch specials are one of the cheapest ones in the area only $7.99, which comes with the entrée, rice, and crispy wonton. Serving size was enough for one. The pad prik was very flavorful with a slight kick. The chicken vegetable noodle soup was enough for us to share and the pad thai was above average. Great value. Honestly I hardly come on yelp and I don't know why I haven't written a review before. I've been coming to this place since I moved to the area back in 2009. I'm still highly impressed. I still can't find a better place anywhere around the surrounding cities that has the BEST drunken Noodles - and trust my when I tell you I've been to EVERY Thai place in West Covina, Covina, Glendora, Azusa and San Dimas. My absolute favorite is chicken drunken noodles. Their fried rice is phenomenal!! The basil in it taste so delicious but the flavour of the rice is best in around these cities too. Amazing food and service like always! You can't go wrong with anything you order. My family is slowly making our way through the whole menu and this was the 5th or 6th time we have went. The food here is amazing but the service is out of this world. I came here with my boyfriend who said that this was some of the best Thai food he's ever had. We were served by whole I assume is the owner. The place was empty, but it looked like they were getting a ton of online orders. We had shrimp tempura, pad thai, yellow curry, thai tea, and mango sticky rice. We almost didn't make it to the mango sticky rice because we were full (the portions here are pretty good). When we did order it though, the owner was excited that we did, so I knew it was going to be good. What can I say? He knows his mango sticky rice is damn good. If y'all come here, order the mango sticky rice because the owner is so sweet and it's adorable how excited he was for us to order it. read more

This is to my first Yelp review! I had to follow through because oh gosh the food was amazing! The owner himself connects with customers and you can tell that his food is a craft! Now i've been to plenty other Thai in the area and order the Pad Sew Ew (Always). And when I tell you guys that this one is thrown with broccolini instead of regular broccoli, that it's just worth driving a few extra minutes for it. Quality over quantity! Just stopped by this place since iwas in the area since it always appears on my.yelp search for Thai food. Ordered the Pork Prik King lunch special and some Thai tea. Prik King is a dry curry if you don't know, so no coconut milk in it, along with (Chinese) long green beans. I did get a lot of rice where as most places skimp on the rice which make me crazy because the cheapest and easiest thing to make is rice. Back to the review, food was good service was great and fast. I enjoyed my food and will be back to try more dishes as I search for the best Thai food in the Eastern SGV. read more

By far my favorite place to order curry. They have 3 options! Each curry is customized with the level of heat (1-5, 5 being the hottest) Yellow Curry- a simple sweet curry with potatoes and carrots Red curry- medium heat curry Green curry- spiciest curry (best one in my opinion) Pros: affordable price, full portion, friendly owner, and most important, delicious. Cons: B Rate, building is hot during the summer, and it's a rather small dining area I've never had a hard time with the owner or staff (as some imply for some reviews). The owner has always been friendly and never fails to make me laugh. This place is disgusting!! They have BUGS in the food! My sister and I got take out: pad Thai, Tom yum soup, and chicken teriyaki. it cost about 30 dollars. We found a LIVE FLY in the pad Thai while we were eating it. We both threw up the food immediately, and called the restaurant. Over the phone the man working the counter nicley offered to give us another pad Thai, but we were so grossed out we said, no we just want a refund. He agreed, so we drove back to the restaurant, 20 minutes away. When we got there, I sent my sister in while I found parking. The 3 people who worked there ARGUED with her, LAUGHED in her FACE, accused her of LYING. said she should have BROUGHT THE FLY AND THE FOOD BACK. They REFUSED to give us a full refund, LAUGHED in my sister's face, yelled and ARGUED with her. She came back in the car furious and crying. They gave us back EIGHT DOLLARS. that's not even the cost of my fucking gas to drive to the damn place. It wasn't worth the drive back, if they had told us OVER THE PHONE they aren't going to give us a refund I wouldn't have bothered. These people were incredibly rude, the food was average even before we found A LIVE FLY in our food. We are never coming back here and would recommend no one else does either. would give ZERO stars if possible. HORRIBLE experience. read more

The service was really good as well as the prices! It's a small family-owned restaurant and the owner was kind and attentive. The food was also super authentic!!! I went with my family and we shared it family style. In terms of entrees, I tried the: Spicy Fried Rice, Yellow Curry with Steamed Rice, Pad See Ew, and the Pad Thai. We also had the Mango with Sticky Rice for dessert. The Spicy Fried Rice was personally my favorite! It was an EXPLOSION of flavor! And I mean actual FLAVOR, not just spicy! I don't know if it was the basil or the onions, but it was deliciously flavorful! You even get to pick your choice of meat! My second favorite dish was this yellow curry with rice. It was definitely Southeast Asian AUTHENTIC! It reminded me of the curry my grandma used to cook when I was young. But be sure to order it with some steamed rice! The Pad See Ew and Pad Thai were also good. AND THE PAD THAI WAS NOT ORANGE. YOU KNOW THAT IT IS AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD WHEN THE PAD THAI IS NOT ORANGE!!!! There is only one explanation for orange pad thai... ORANGE FOOD COLORING.... I was so pleased with theses dishes too! I personally am not that into Mango with Ricky Rice. But I really enjoyed the experience of trying it. I enjoyed the texture of the warm rice with coconut milk contrasting with the chilled mango slices. However, this is a big dish. This is the very best place in Glendora where you can get authentic Thai food. Last night I checked YELP for Thai food after not having Thai for 6 months or so. Well this place came up as a top contender here in Southern, CA and we decided to give a try. We arrived to the address, and it happens to be an outlet store next to this small row of businesses; it has a nice size private parking, and the restaurant it's a small 20 people set up place. We got in and right away we got greeted by the owner, who was super attentive with us. Brought us water and we ordered some drinks, then while we started ordering a few plates, he explained the way they season their food, the spicy levels, so on and so forth. We ordered their papaya salad to start at a level 3 of spice. The salad was a knockout, seriously, not only it was better than any of the places I've tried it before in Downtown LA, the ingredients were 100% fresh. This alone gave me a good feeling about what was about to come after. All the other 5 plates we ordered were succulent, the portions were excellent, when you go out you don't want to get huge portions because you know you're getting fillers and #2 grade ingredients, well this place has food made on the spot only on order and not just like in most places where they have a bunch of bases reheated and they add different garnishing. The owners are on-site to serve you, seriously, where else in LA County can you see this type of personal service?? I love Thai food and have tried super expensive places before in and out of the US, and this little mom and pop place amazed me, they have the personal one on one service, they only use high quality ingredients, and their food tastes amazing. This place its in my 5 best Thai restaurants of all time. To the owner kudos for treating your clientele this way, keep the good work. read more

I love their coconut curry with chicken called Panyang. . Shrimp fried rice was so tasty and was also good. Their chicken on skewer is excellent. Everything is made to order so takes 20-30 minutes. Not big portions so order few dishes. Good for the low prices they charge. Just a couple working so order to go ahead. read more

As I write this, I'm sitting here with a hot dish of Dok Luck's Pad See Ew with beef, and savoring every bite. Today was my third visit to this little spot of Heaven since I discovered it last week. Everything I've had has been fresh and delicious, such as the Pad Prik King with pork, and the Fresh Chili with beef. Before the register even rung today, I was already picking out what I'm having for lunch tomorrow (panang with chicken if you're curious). Portions are fair as the prices are great. One entree is perfect for lunch, but I'd probably order at least 3 to share if I was in for dinner with my lovely bride. The store is clean and the owner is friendly. The food comes out fast. I'm very happy to find Dok Luck as it has broken me out of my lunch time food rut. ! read more

They have lunch specials from 11-3p I believe and it is $15 for most of the meals. Trust me it was a lot of food for the price you pay. There was a bit of a wait, they don't have much staff but they work very hard and as fast as possible. I got the duck noodle soup, which was a lot bigger than I thought. It's on the sweet side and it reminded me of what I ate at a village in Thailand, and I loved it. The duck was easy to eat as well, soft and tender. My mom got Queen of the Sea with a side of rice. She enjoyed it very much. I had some of the sauce with some rice, to taste. It was nice and creamy but it was still light. It didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The friend ice cream is a little uneven. One side, the bread was thin but the other side was super thick and hard to eat. It's perfectly crisp though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bowl for the ice cream was really cute but I think a different bowl might be better because it was a little hard to eat without flinging it around. I was only in town to take a test nearby, but if I'm ever back in the area, I would 100% return and try the other dishes.

Solid flavors, nothing too heavy, and very tasty overall. The shrimp were plump and fresh, which I appreciated. (4.5/5) I also asked about mango sticky rice, and they were honest and told me the mangos weren't fully ripe yet. I really appreciated that honesty. Instead, they gave me their complimentary cookies and cream ice cream, which ended up being really good too. There isn't much good Asian food in Azusa, so if you're living nearby, I'd definitely recommend this spot, it's one of the few reliable gems in the area. The Tom Yum was delicious they make it as spicy as you want it I followed it up with the chicken curry it had perfectly cooked carrots and potatoes not to overcooked the curry sauce it was just right with the side of white rice and egg roll and dipping sauce and a salad. All that for $12.99 the soup was $9.99 I walked out very happy and full!

The new ownership/staff are incredibly friendly now. The food was outstandingly fresh. The dumplings were tasty. The Chow Mein was yummy!I loved the flavor of the red curry! The only change is, I would make it a bit thicker, but the taste was spot on! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, tender and delicious. All the vegetables were perfectly fresh and cooked expertly. We loved everything and we'll be back!!
