Affordable all day special entrees! All this for only $13.50! Comes with a side of salad and egg rolls! Can't complain about the pad thai, loved that they brought out all the spices/seasonings for me.

This food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the large Won Ton soup (amazing flavor - huge wontons, a tiny bit of cilantro for a fresh addition, broth so flavorful we're bringing the rest of it home!). We ordered the pad Thai lunch special and it was fabulous, too. Great flavor and plenty for two or maybe even three. We will definitely come back again!!

Stopped here while on a road trip. It was one of the few places open on thanksgiving day. Ordered pad Thai and pad see ew. Both dishes were okay. Plenty of parking in their parking lot.

    Very disappointing Pad Thai

Ordered Pad Thai via Uber Eats (they have BOGO promo for $15.99) and I'm so disappointed! I had high expectations after reading all the great reviews but this is definitely the worst Pad Thai I've ever had! It got delivered to me in less than 30 minutes and it was still piping hot so I was really excited! As soon as I took the first bite, I noticed it was ridiculously sour. It literally tastes like lemon noodles with plenty of bean sprouts, some peanuts, and a couple chunks of chicken and not much egg or green onion. This is definitely not the authentic Pad Thai I'm used to. Pad Thai is supposed to be slightly sore and sweet but not THIS sore! Definitely would not recommend or order again unfortunately.

I suddenly realized that I never wrote a review for this restaurant-my hidden secret favorite. I've eaten there more than a dozen times. Why have I never mentioned it? From a lunch set that used to cost $6.95 to the current price of $12.50, I've been eating at this restaurant for almost a decade. I used to live in Glendora, just across the street from Citrus College. The restaurant, located on Citrus Ave, is only about a mile south of my home. I love Thailand, and I also love Thai food. The restaurant offers an All Day Special set for $12.50 with 9 options, and every one of them is good. Sadly, it used to have 17 options as the Lunch Special. Some dishes have been removed, like Chow Mein, Stir-Fried Basil Leaves with protein, and other stir-fried items. But you can still order them from the regular menu-Chow Mein is available as a single dish for $12. The set includes an entrée, mostly curries: red, yellow, green, or Panang. Red curry is the spiciest; green curry is mixed with coconut milk; and Panang has more flavor than yellow. You can choose a protein: beef, pork, or chicken. Pork is the best-if you eat pork. The set also includes a salad, a spring roll, and a bowl of white rice. I still miss the old lunch set-it came with both a soup and a salad. I always asked the restaurant to swap the salad for an extra soup. That soup was umami-rich, smelled like chicken, and had a few grains of rice at the bottom of the bowl. I miss it. For such a good restaurant, I honestly have nothing bad to say. I've tried almost every dish on the menu, and I've never had a bad experience. It's just an authentic Thai restaurant that consistently maintains its standards. Strongly recommended.

Tofu satay, Tofu Prik King, Vegetable Pad Thai, Tofu pineapple fried rice and one very handsome lunch date.

Youguys. They use gluten-free soy sauce!!! I cannot tell you how excited I was to find Thai food that I can eat! Both the restaurant and my stomach confirm that a lot of their dishes are gluten-free. Plus, they have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options and ALL of their soups are cooked in vegetable broth. Anyways, aside from that....the food is actually really good. We shared the tofu satay, vegetable pad Thai, tofu pineapple fried rice and tofu prik king - all were delicious. The tofu satay was a bit underwhelming, but still good. Service was wonderful, very attentive and kind. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall and everything was clean. Wish it were a little closer to us cuz we'll be here a lot.

On a rainy day, a warm bowl of Thai coconut soup feels like the world choosing to be gentle. Thai Chef Cuisine in Azusa is known for its flavorful food, friendly service, and good value. Some of their creative items include: Pumpkin Curry with Salmon, Crab Fried Rice, Thai Chef Noodle with Duck and the Beef Salad. Other popular items include: Fried Fish Cake and the Tom Kha Seafood (Coconut Soup). Complete your meal with their famous Sweet Sticky Rice with Mango, Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee . They offer pepper on the side so you can adjust the spice levels. The staff is friendly, attentive, and professional, contributing to a welcoming and homey atmosphere.

This place is the perfect hole-in-the-wall spot--cozy, welcoming, and full of charm. There's a decent amount of seating inside. While the place isn't huge, it feels homey and comfortable, like a true local gem. The food was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic Thai. We ordered a variety of dishes to share: Thai tea, Tom Yum, Pad Thai, and Pad See Ew. Everything came out quickly and was served hot. The portions were generous and definitely sharable. Perfect for family-style dining. A special shoutout to the owners, who were incredibly kind and friendly. As a nice bonus, students from Azusa Pacific University get a free Thai tea with student ID, which is such a thoughtful touch! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for tasty Thai food and a place that makes you feel right at home.

For a little spot, it was spot on with flavor and excellent customer service. The food came out tasty and ready to eat. The server was attentive and refilled my water without me asking which is always great service in my eyes. I ordered something new and it was delicious - Mango fried rice and my wife and brother had pad se ew. My wife had the garlic edamame and thoroughly enjoyed it. My calamari was good. Didn't look like traditional calamari but was delicious. Upon checking in, I got a free Thai iced tea and it was delicious and flavorful. Definitely going back since I'm new to the area as well

The food is just as good as I remembered, and the service was friendly (same person I remember from about 5 years ago, which was honestly nice to see.) It's a small shop with only about 4-5 tables, and there were tons of to-go and pickup orders while I was there, but I decided to dine in. What I ordered: Khao Soi - I saw this being advertised and had never tried it before, so I went for it. Super unique dish with a strong, creamy coconut flavor that wasn't overpowering at all. The noodles were great, and overall it was really comforting and delicious. Would 100% order again. (5/5) Pad See Ew (Shrimp) - A classic done well. Solid flavors, nothing too heavy, and very tasty overall. The shrimp were plump and fresh, which I appreciated. (4.5/5) I also asked about mango sticky rice, and they were honest and told me the mangos weren't fully ripe yet. I really appreciated that honesty. Instead, they gave me their complimentary cookies and cream ice cream, which ended up being really good too. There isn't much good Asian food in Azusa, so if you're living nearby, I'd definitely recommend this spot, it's one of the few reliable gems in the area. Parking: Small shared lot with neighboring businesses.

There was a bit of a wait, they don't have much staff but they work very hard and as fast as possible. I got the duck noodle soup, which was a lot bigger than I thought. It's on the sweet side and it reminded me of what I ate at a village in Thailand, and I loved it. The duck was easy to eat as well, soft and tender. My mom got Queen of the Sea with a side of rice. She enjoyed it very much. I had some of the sauce with some rice, to taste. It was nice and creamy but it was still light. It didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The friend ice cream is a little uneven. One side, the bread was thin but the other side was super thick and hard to eat. It's perfectly crisp though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bowl for the ice cream was really cute but I think a different bowl might be better because it was a little hard to eat without flinging it around. I was only in town to take a test nearby, but if I'm ever back in the area, I would 100% return and try the other dishes.

We went here for lunch today in search of the next great Thai spot and tantawan did not disappoint…read more Positives: -the food was great and they definitely brought the real spice. We got southern curry noodles, flaming drunken noodle at extra spicy, and Che Po. The curry noodles were good we got the flat noodles. Though my wife likes it more savory I like it more coconutty. The che po was okay, the rice was steeped in the sauce which was too much for my wife and some of the pork belly pieces were tough. The bbq pork and the duck was good though. Authentic Thai and Chinese fusion taste. The star of the show was the flaming drunken noodle. It's probably one of the best drunken noodles we've had. At extra spicy, it definitely brought the flame and the foavor in a big way. The portions and prices were great. We had to togo the drunken noodle and it got even better after we reheated it. -service was very friendly and quick -the restaurant is a good size, great for large parties. Negatives: None 5/5 overall We will definitely be back, we already have our eye on trying the pad Thai and the tom yum noodles. Has this place gone through new ownership?…read more I used to frequent Tantawan Thai Cuisine at least once a week -- it was my go to Thai spots because it's nearby. I would always order the Thai boat noodles, Pad Kee Mao, or Pad Thai, and they were consistently flavorful, bold, and satisfying every time. These three dishes were on constant rotation. Lately though, something feels very different. The flavor and overall taste of the dishes have noticeably changed. The Thai boat noodles no longer have that rich, deep broth, the pad kee mao isn't as smoky and punchy, and the pad thai tastes flatter and not as saucey than it used to. The food just doesn't hit the same. On top of that, the employees were clearly new. Service has been noticeably slower, and they repeatedly ask the same questions multiple times when I phone in my order. I've always mentioned that I don't want liver in my Thai boat noodles and that I like my pad thai spicy -- and before, that was never an issue or a back and forth conversation. Now, I'm asked the same clarifying questions over and over, and I'm even told that they "don't make pad thai spicy," which was never the case before. It's honestly disappointing because this used to be such a reliable weekly staple for me. I'm not sure if there's been a change in ownership, staff, or recipes, but the consistency in both food and service just isn't there anymore. I really hope they can bring back the quality and experience that made me a regular in the first place.
