I can't compliment this place enough. Every time there's always something that makes this place even better which I didn't think was possible! The food is hot and soooo good. The service is ALWAYS friendly! The place is bright and welcoming every time. I'm practically a regular because I come here at least once a month if not twice! The portions feed us that night and the night after! The wonton soup is our newest favorite and we recently got told to try the mango dessert and that was spectacular! This place stays amazing and I would definitely recommend coming here if you ever have the chance or want some yummy Asian cuisine!

My son and I were craving Thai food and we decided to eat at this restaurant. I've seen it in passing over the years and finally decided to dine in. We were greeted by their friendly staff who took the time to go over their menu. We started off with Thai tea and their Lemongrass and lime drink. The Lemongrass drink is something I've never had but, it was delicious! It wasn't overly sweet and the aroma of the lemongrass wasn't overly powerful. We decided on chicken sa-te, Thai fried rice and the yellow curry. The fried rice was delicious! The curry was good but, the carrots and potato were slightly overcooked for my taste. Overall we really enjoyed the service and food. I did find the bill to be quite expensive for 3 dishes and drinks. I spent $70 so be prepared if you'll be placing an order with multiple dishes.

The food is amazing, and the service is really friendly. Even the place is nice and clean. I would come again even if I live far away from here.

The green curry and tom kha were EXCELLENT. The lady that works there is sooo sweet. So kind. She gave us two free rice bowls!!!

Mango with purple sticky rice and Thai tea

Come here for amazing authentic Thai food! First time here, everything was amazing! We got chicken skewers, yellow curry with chicken and mango sticky rice! The chicken skewers were sooo tender and delicious. The curry also had the perfect amount of spice. We had some left over and took the curry to-go, and the owner (Nary) was nice enough to give us a side of free rice! She also gave us a free Thai tea (tastes amazing) as we were leaving. The waitress and owner are so welcoming and nice and you can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into their business. Will definitely be back!! Thank you

I've only gotten take out from this location , my little brother lives around here and he loves this location . We usually go and pick it up ourselves and absolutely love the vibes here . Everyone here is so nice , we dealt with an older lady and gentleman and they were literally so sweet ! Absolutely loved them !!!! Never been to Thailand so not sure how exactly authentic certain Thai food is but I eat Thai food every week and this location had different flavors I never encountered in others the skewer marinade was different but was super tasty ! The peanut sauce seemed homemade wasn't too sweet but it was good ! My little brother LOVES the skewers. Pineapple fried rice was so good along with the chow mine . I live in Long Beach so don't come here often but def a recommended Thai spot ! Oh and the lady suggested the lemon grass to me , wow amazing !

Thai food has always held a special place in my heart, and for nearly 25 years, Thai Nary has been my go-to spot. Despite changing ownership, the quality of the food remains consistently amazing, and I've never been disappointed. What truly sets this place apart is the welcoming atmosphere. The owner is incredibly friendly and always makes me feel at home, especially when they remember my name as I walk in. Living just around the corner makes it easy to call in an order, and the waitstaff knows exactly what I like and how I prefer it--who wouldn't appreciate that? My daughters are big fans of their pad Thai, but we also love the tom yum soup, tom kha soup, spicy beef salad, and drunken noodles. And I can't stress enough how important it is to save room for dessert--try the mango and sticky rice! It's the best I've ever had, and I've yet to find a place that can match it. If you're looking for delicious Thai food in a warm and welcoming environment, Thai Nary is the place to be I've taken so many friends and nobody has ever been disappointed

We stopped by for a quick dinner on the way home from some holiday shopping. Nary herself took our order and was so gracious and sweet to my daughter and I. She had the warmest demeanor and nothing but helpful to us. We ordered a few items to-go including chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef, orange chicken, chicken pad Thai, mango sticky rice and Thai iced tea for dessert. Everything was delicious and very generously portioned. The restaurant is casual and homey, situated in a small shopping center. We were taking it home for the family but dining in would be a nice casual family dinner option too.

    Spicy chicken fried rice.

The food was great. I enjoyed Spicy Chicken Fried Rice. The service was superb. The atmosphere was quaint, quiet and cozy. I would recommend it to anyone.

The food is just as good as I remembered, and the service was friendly (same person I remember from about 5 years ago, which was honestly nice to see.) It's a small shop with only about 4-5 tables, and there were tons of to-go and pickup orders while I was there, but I decided to dine in. What I ordered: Khao Soi - I saw this being advertised and had never tried it before, so I went for it. Super unique dish with a strong, creamy coconut flavor that wasn't overpowering at all. The noodles were great, and overall it was really comforting and delicious. Would 100% order again. (5/5) Pad See Ew (Shrimp) - A classic done well. Solid flavors, nothing too heavy, and very tasty overall. The shrimp were plump and fresh, which I appreciated. (4.5/5) I also asked about mango sticky rice, and they were honest and told me the mangos weren't fully ripe yet. I really appreciated that honesty. Instead, they gave me their complimentary cookies and cream ice cream, which ended up being really good too. There isn't much good Asian food in Azusa, so if you're living nearby, I'd definitely recommend this spot, it's one of the few reliable gems in the area. Parking: Small shared lot with neighboring businesses.

My buddy ordered the Panang curry medium spice, with beef tenderloin and rice, and it was rich, creamy, and very satisfying. The beef tenderloin was tender and flavorful, and the curry itself was deep and well balanced. One thing that stood out is portion size. One order of curry can easily feed two people. There was a bit of a wait, they don't have much staff but they work very hard and as fast as possible. I got the duck noodle soup, which was a lot bigger than I thought. It's on the sweet side and it reminded me of what I ate at a village in Thailand, and I loved it. The duck was easy to eat as well, soft and tender. My mom got Queen of the Sea with a side of rice. She enjoyed it very much. I had some of the sauce with some rice, to taste. It was nice and creamy but it was still light. It didn't feel heavy in the stomach. The friend ice cream is a little uneven. One side, the bread was thin but the other side was super thick and hard to eat. It's perfectly crisp though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The bowl for the ice cream was really cute but I think a different bowl might be better because it was a little hard to eat without flinging it around. I was only in town to take a test nearby, but if I'm ever back in the area, I would 100% return and try the other dishes.

Has this place gone through new ownership?…read more I used to frequent Tantawan Thai Cuisine at least once a week -- it was my go to Thai spots because it's nearby. I would always order the Thai boat noodles, Pad Kee Mao, or Pad Thai, and they were consistently flavorful, bold, and satisfying every time. These three dishes were on constant rotation. Lately though, something feels very different. The flavor and overall taste of the dishes have noticeably changed. The Thai boat noodles no longer have that rich, deep broth, the pad kee mao isn't as smoky and punchy, and the pad thai tastes flatter and not as saucey than it used to. The food just doesn't hit the same. On top of that, the employees were clearly new. Service has been noticeably slower, and they repeatedly ask the same questions multiple times when I phone in my order. I've always mentioned that I don't want liver in my Thai boat noodles and that I like my pad thai spicy -- and before, that was never an issue or a back and forth conversation. Now, I'm asked the same clarifying questions over and over, and I'm even told that they "don't make pad thai spicy," which was never the case before. It's honestly disappointing because this used to be such a reliable weekly staple for me. I'm not sure if there's been a change in ownership, staff, or recipes, but the consistency in both food and service just isn't there anymore. I really hope they can bring back the quality and experience that made me a regular in the first place.
