This is one of my favorite Chinese spots here in Glendora. It is one of those old school joints where it's family run, gives you the impression that the host and employees really care about the meals they provide and the service. This is legit one of those places where you will find that their family actually cooks in the back and they just don't have random people there. When the food came out, I knew right away from just smelling it that it was going to be something special, and it was I've had the Kung pow shrimp, the combination fried rice, which includes shrimp, beef, and chicken, as well as the combination lo mein. I've also had the hot and sour soup, the egg drop soup, and the wonton soup. If you grew up in California and you might have experienced some of these Chinese restaurants around here this is exactly that same vibe. IYKYK. Think of the final scene in Drive, that's it. I tried this restaurant today with a friend and the staff were really nice and the food was delicious. We weren't too hungry and ordered the beef roll and egg rolls. The beef rolls are a perfect combination of cilantro, hoisin sauce, beef and pastry - a great item to share and I would highly recommend ordering this. The egg rolls were served very hot and crispy, but I would probably order another main dish instead of an appetizer next time. We noticed other popular dishes among customers were the stir-fried green beans, chow mein, dumplings, wontons with chili oil and sweet and sour pork. I'm pretty sure your experience depends on what dishes you choose, so It's probably good to come with a group of four or more to try different items. Was looking for a moderate size appetizer and felt Chinese food was the best option. Ordered some beef rolls from Golden Dragon Chinese. The pickup process was very easy and straightforward. As it came to the taste, it was okay. There was definitely a lot more cilantro and green onions than I preferred. The portion felt good, since there were 8 pieces in the order. The drawback was that the order was completely cold. I also felt they should have provided more than one hoisin sauce. They gave a free fortune cookie so that was neat. The Ambience has a bit of a modern Chinese atmosphere from the decor. I came to the Golden Dragon on Wednesday (September 30th, 2026). The service provided a sauce and some fried noodles. The fried noodles were crunchy and crispy. The combination chow fun with beef, chicken and shrimp was delicious! I love chow fun because of the flat, wide texture of the noodles and what sauces is used to make it tasty. The chow fun also had onions, cabbage, and bean sprouts. It had a savory flavor that made it so delicious. If you are a lover of chow fun, I couldn't recommend the Golden Dragon enough because I loved it that much. read more

Some of our absolute faves include the Orange Chicken (it's got a nice kick!), Honey Walnut Shrimp, Vegetable Chow Mein, Eggplant Tofu, and their Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs--yum! We've never actually eaten in the restaurant because it has that old-school vibe, but honestly, we believe the food is delicious no matter where you chow down. Just ordered a couple items to go, but was pleasantly surprised at the flavors and how they packed my items to go. Tried the char shiu (bbq pork) and shrimp har gao. The bbq pork wasn't much to look at and definitely didn't look like the picture, but was a large serving for the price and had very good flavor. The har gao didn't seem made in house, but was prepared well and tasted decent enough. When I'm at a dim sum house, I love my sauces including hot mustard and they packed four different types of sauces to go for me, including hot mustard! Made up for a lot! Really didn't need to add the sambal packets, which I will remember to leave behind next time. The hot mustard and two chilis were perfect and paired well with the har gao. Would recommend both dishes and will be back to try something else next time. Only wish they had lunch specials or dinner combos since I can't order a lot of main dishes, but happy with the dishes I tried. read more

One of the most delicious Chinese food I recently had. Also, the portion they serve are huge (only tried dine-in). I ordered shrimp kang pao, shrimp chow fun (large thick noodle), Sweet and sour shrimp, fried rice and tofu kang pao. Alll were tasty and memorible. Only gripe I have is that when I tried online order (take out) a few days later they do not list chow fun?!?!?! I guess I will need to dine in only. As for the service, I will say 3.5 or 4 stars. Not the best, but nothing that will distract you from enjoying your food. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will visit them again very soon. read more

I could come here and eat their Wor Wonton soup any day! Always flavorful and generous with the chicken, shrimp and wontons. This time I put hot chili oil in it and that was incredible too. No Chinese meal is complete for me without cream cheese wontons and theirs are crunchy and delicious. On previous visits I've had the kung pao chicken. Also a treat. And if you order online, be prepared for a game of hurry up and wait, with one very special person who might just ignore your order. Around here, when you order through their online platform, it gets sent to one person's phone, and then you have to wait and see if they're available to check it. My order was ready a whole hour after the promised delivery time, and when I arrived, the restaurant staff tried to spin it by saying they were super busy (they were) and only one person had the secret password to the online platform tied to their website. The only thing they managed to cough up as an apology was a lukewarm can of Coke - which I passed on. The food was fantastic, but the service was so bad I'm starting to think the portions are generous just to distract from the wait. Was craving cashew chicken and pork fried rice. Looked for anything good in the area and "Golden Dragon Chinese" had the best reviews. Hopped in the car and drove to a small strip mall in Glendora. Walked in and to my surprise, inside was very old, outdated restaurant with the rug that looked like it had seen more miles and stains on it than a middle aged pole dancer, UGGH!!. The tables were old, the wallpaper and plastic plants looked like they needed to be taken out and washed down..And to top it off, the place was packed... The mom and daughter team had everything going. My man and I sat to eat and all I kept thinking was all the food on the rug, dust mites and roaches in this place! My man went to wash his hands and he said the bathroom floor was sticky, I had to tell him to "STOP!!" I don't even want to imagine.There was a big round table with to go containers and empty dirty plates and other things on it by the front door. The food was really good, but you can tell it had a lot of MSG..I think they really need to take a week off and clean the place. The portions are enormous and most dishes look like they come with rice which I didn't realize so I ordered the house fried rice and it was a delicious mistake and ended up being one of my favorites.
