I drive by this place occasionally and was curious enough to stop and give them a try. It's a quick and easy choice. They cook the entrees, place the food in trays under a heat lamp. They are ready to go. When the supply gets low, they are quick to cook a new batch. I bought two-item protein for $12 with rice or chow mein. If you want both rice and chow mein, they will give you a half serving of each. Popular proteins are: Orange Chicken, Beef n Broccoli, Kung Pao Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken, BBQ Pork, and Sautéed Green Beans with Chicken. The also have chicken bowls for $10, only one protein at this price. Chow mein and rice is also included. If you don't have a lot of time, this is a convenient spot. Anytime you see a line out the door, expectations are set high. This place did not disappoint as the prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and service is excellent. Located in a little shopping center on the corner there is a good amount of parking. I typically order a bowl since item combos come with so much food that I can never eat it all. This is my absolute favorite Chinese food place. I have looked everywhere for another good place closer to home but I cannot find one. I love the chow main here. The creamy shrimp is delicious and filling. The teriyaki chicken is always crispy and perfect. The beef broccoli is perfect and not just fatty tasting like others. The cream cheese wantons are my favorite. Best I've had anywhere. Has more than a pin drop of cream cheese filling. I absolutely crave this place every time I'm in Covina. I don't think I've ever seen more than 3 people working there but they are fast and friendly. I have never received bad service here and I have been coming here for years. I just don't like any other Chinese food place. There are a lot of tables inside and a restroom I have never used. I've been going to this place now for over 17 years and the last few years they've gotten worse and worse. They used to have buy 10 get 1 free coupon cards. Those are gone. Their boxes have gotten so small now the amount of food they give doesn't even fill me up anymore. They used to pack big boxes full of food and usually I couldn't even finish them. Not anymore. Their food, is still alright. Used to be better. The fact that charge so much for simple soups now is ridiculous I won't even buy them there anymore so easy to make them at home if you are willing to spend the time. And their biggest minus is the ladies who work at the counter have just gotten snobbier and snobbier. I used to talk all the time with one of them but I don't see her anymore and the two or three that work there now don't seem to be interested at all in their customers. Decided to try this place because I needed something cheap and fast. The portion size is large, I was excited about that because it was shared amongst two people. But the service was not great and the food taste was average. The bbq pork was what I was looking forward to trying. The taste was good but there was a quite a bit of fat I had to pick out. The orange chicken was your typical Panda Express type. The fried rice was the oddest tasting fried rice I've ever had. It tasted like regular American rice that was color dyed to look the color of fried rice with sparse eggs and peas in it. Their bbq pork was served from a plastic bin which is unsanitary and it was reflected in its taste. When I got home I took a little bite of the bbq pork and I spit it right back into a napkin. My mom came in around 1130am to order food and apparently the lady who was helping her had on gloves and previous to my mom ordering the lady was handling cash with her gloves on which is fine but if my mom asks you to change your gloves don't respond with "oh god" how unprofessional can you be? On top of that , the lady didn't change her gloves she wiped her gloves with a rag smh that's gross and unsanitary and in this pandemic? I come at 8:45pm excited about eating at one of my favorite fast food spots. As I came in they tell me "we are closed" even though they close at 9:30pm and their front door was WIDE open. They had bagged a bunch of their food that they make and take it home with them.
