I tried the Curry Wagyu bowl and it was buy one get one free. I tried their curry tofu, wagyu bowl, eel egg rice and salmon sashimi bowl. They are all delicious and quick delivery. I also ordered a Chirashi bowl for pickup last time. The fishes were very fresh and the price was decent. I haven't had a chance to eat there yet. It looks small when I went to pick up my food but hopefully next time I'll dine in for the experience.

Told the friendly hostess we have the Chubby Club membership and got the Miso Soup on the house for being a member. I was expecting to get some sort of membership pricing like they do at other Chubby Club restaurants, instead, we got free Miso Soup. It would be better if we had a choices between picking the soup vs getting some sort of drinks? We ordered our foods using the tablet. Once we decided what we wanted, we just hit the Send to Kitchen button. Foods came out fairly quick. We ordered the followings: - Gyu-Don (4/5) - Wagyu Curry (Beef) (4/5) - Chicken Curry Kare (5/5) Overall the foods were good.

Since the weather was hot and I was lazy to drive, I placed an order via Uber Eats. The order came on time as I scheduled it. Everything was packed very well. We got the following, -Mango lover roll 5/5 - Baked Green Mussels 5/5 - Shrimp Shumai 5/5 - Snowcone Roll 5/5 - Lemon Roll 5/5 - Snow White Roll 5/5 - Yellowtail Roll 5/5 - scallop Roll 5/5 Everything was fresh, delicious and flavorful. The lemon roll, mango lover roll , and snow white roll were my favorites. The lemon roll tasted zesty, citrusy and refreshing. I am a mango lover, so I really enjoyed the tropical mango taste which enriched the flavor. Snow White Roll was heavenly, very rich and savory. The shrimp shumai is another highlight. It was flavorful and juicy with perfect texture and perfect shrimp amount.Baked green mussels were savory and fresh we really had such a wonderful dinner. I will be back to try more rolls.

I liked the sauce on this one since it gave it a pretty tangy aftertaste. - Tonkatsu Ramen (3/5): Tonkatsu broth wasn't rich enough for my girlfriend but I found it fine. Also wished a full egg was provided instead of half an egg. Overall (3.5/5): We came here on a Saturday at noon and it was pretty quiet. We were seated quickly, ordering was easy and food came out fast. There's a buy one get one 50% off for rolls, but I personally found them smaller than expected. While I was still full, I don't think the rolls are worth it if you buy only one individually. Overall we found Kopan to be a decent experience and we'll be back since it's a convenient spot for us.

The sushi chef and the waiter were having a nice chat, nothing with that really. Expect that it delayed us getting our food. My friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant around 3 PM, but it still took a about 10 minutes to get two pieces of sushi. The ambiance is alright. Decor was alright, music was alright, things seemed clean enough. Quality on the food though... The rolls were all meh. Ordered a few different ones and it was hard to find distinctions between them. The wasabi was a nice neon green, the ikura were like fish flavored popping boba, and the unagi had scales in it

My appt was at 1:30pm and I got to Yashima around 1:40pm. I didn't realize they closed at 2pm but I needed my fix so went in anyway. Not one mention of the time and never rushed me for my order. I knew what I wanted already and ordered almost immediately, but didn't get my food until about 1:50pm. Everything was still cooked to order and tasted great (lunch special with salmon teriyaki, tempura and sushi + an extra order of tako). I eat pretty fast normally and finished right around 2pm. I asked for the check when the server was asking me if I wanted anything else and mentioned that I saw they closed at 2pm and wanted to get out of their way. She was very appreciative but never once made me feel rushed or like I stayed too long. Anyway, I really appreciate the extra level of service and professionalism. Pro tip: they have their own website for ordering takeout and delivery. Will have to try that soon.

July 1st/ 2026 6:02 PM…read more7:30 PM the singer started singing " horrible" Met friends for dinner. Our first time here. We parked in front. Plenty of Parking behind the restaurant too. Opened the dark door, very underwhelming! Small, stark white walls. No one to welcome you, our friend waved at us, so we proceeded to the table. Our waitress stood at the end of the table. We mentioned it was our first time and may we have sometime to look over the menu ? Ok and she left, she came back 30 seconds later, are you ready to order? NO the menu is huge and we need about 5 minutes please. One minute later she said OK what would you like to order ? My husband said, please can we have sometime to look over the menu I do not know yet. The waitress STOOD there staring at us waiting for us to decide what we want. My husband is on page 2 of the menu it is just so big you can't read it all in 30 seconds or one minute.! she wouldn't leave our friend. Finally looked at her and said just a few more minutes please and she just left.. she comes back and we asked for two separate checks before we ordered. I asked for my soup to go to the daughter and it came to me anyway I just gave it to the daughter instead.. the table area where I was sitting at was so sticky and dirty. It was gross one napkin and chopsticks. Never asked if we wanted more napkins or a fork or knife or anything else once we ordered, and our food was brought to us you never heard or seen her at our table again until we asked for our check & to go boxes as she was visiting customers at the sushi bar and very attentive to them. NOT a great first Impression.! When everyone was finished with their meal and needed two takeout boxes, we asked her for them she said OK but she really was interested in the people sitting at the sushi bar and hugged on them and talked to them and we never got our takeout boxes so then we waited 20 minutes 25 minutes comes and my husband gets up and goes to the owner and says can we have two takeout boxes please? Oh yeah sure so we get them we box up our food we asked for our checks. Another 20 minutes goes by. No check after waiting 30 minutes again we get up and ask for the check, you stand there and stare at us waiting to take our order but we never see you again once our food comes and you never finish what you're doing before you go to the next table if you can't multitask then don't do it please. When the food came, I was shocked at the size the tuna rolls they were so tiny. A snail is bigger. I was un impressed with the food. Nothing had any flavor to it. No salt wasabi that was on my plate was so small it was the size of a dime!!!!! and we love our wasabi! What a joke! The restaurant is so tiny and so loud and then they had a singer to celebrate their restaurant anniversary there which was beyond loud. Tables weren't full, but yet people were standing and waiting to be seated. That made no sense.. I am not a fan of TV's on the wall's at a restaurant. Sports bar's OK but not at a restaurant specifically when there is NO Sound. If you are a local and you come to this restaurant often, then the female waitress will love you! If you're new to the restaurant, she'll stare at you and until you order food and then ignore you once your food is handed to you. We will Never be back? Never ever again you couldn't pay me to come back to this restaurant ..! Do I recommend this restaurant in Covina absolutely not no way know how not even if it was free.!!!!! What was good about our experience, the beer, the company and the fact that we left.! Yay.!!!! FYI: my to box is in the trashcan. Once the drink and appetizer order is taken, Please do not approach a table until the menus are set down. Please clean your menu's and tables. First impressions are everything and our experience here was horrific. !!!! Please read other reviews about our server and the quality of the food. I am clearly NOT the only one thinks the serve lacks customer service.! And agrees about the lack of flavor regarding the food. Go elsewhere.

If you can handle spice, I loved the regular spice level, otherwise mild is there next level down and was perfect for my friends. Out of the hamburger, chicken katsu and the pork tenderloin katsu, I would have to go with the chicken. It was juice, tender and so delicious. The pork was a little bit more on the tougher side when compared to the chicken. But no matter which protein you go with, they were all delicious. A curry plate also comes with soup and salad. Both were served right away and very delicious. Despite how small the salad bowl was, they really stuffed it with salad. The server is nice and parking can get pretty crazy if you come during a rush. This is a great spot for a curry fix and would highly recommend.

When they came back we all asked for water and we were told I had to get rid of my energy drink I had with me. I understand their policy is no outside drinks but it's not like the entire table had teas from another shop, it was one person with a small energy drink can. Really nitpicky and stupid to enforce but whatever. We ordered our meals and everything came out great, the food was really tasty and fresh. Zero complaints about anything we ate at all! The katsu were all fried perfectly, very juice and quality meat. The curry was just a touch spicy and very flavorful. I especially loved the fried tofu, the dashi was some of the best I've had. At the end of the meal we said we had a cake and were told if we wanted to eat it there (with our own plates, napkins and utensils that we brought) it would be a $20 charge. I've never been to a place, especially an Asian restaurant, that has such a crappy policy. We reluctantly paid it but won't be coming back. We celebrate every birthday in the family at restaurants and this is the first time we've ever had pushback over cake.
