We have ordered (Uber eats) from this place quite a few times...and they will ALWAYS forget one of your sandwiches (Frenchie Sandwich) and/or add on items. If you're politically on the left, you'll hate this place because every inch is covered in Trump memorabilia. If you're on the right, you'll hate it because they treat everyone like you're on the left. Worst service you can imagine!! Server was anti-Semitic (comments), argumentative, hateful and overwhelmed with life. The food was absolutely HORRIBLE! The breakfast potatoes tasted like they were poisoned. The pancakes were something a kid experiments on making. No idea what they used for eggs they were so gross! The table we sat at was dirty, everything is cluttered, the server runs the register and then bare hands your food after, the prices are ridiculous and everything is "extra" if you want to substitute or make a simple change, and portions are small. Two grown men had breakfast and neither of us could finish our food because it was so gross! You would think the server would ask if anything was wrong or if everything was ok when she picked up our plates and our food was still on them, but she couldn't care less! Situated in a strip mall is this hidden gem. Reminiscent of an old fashioned diner made it extremely inviting. Photos of the early years of Boca Raton adorned the walls and I was thrilled to see a we support the police flag prominently displayed. The restaurant was clean and very open. I ordered the nova sandwich that came with lettuce, tomato and cream cheese on an everything bagel. It was delicious. Making our dining experience even better was the excellent and friendly service we received from Jerri, our server. We had an opportunity to meet the owner, Naheed, she was both pleasant and cheerful. It was obvious to me that her attitude is exemplified by her staff. We have been coming here for years and is great for breakfast, lunch or breakfast for lunch. Either way, The Griddle is one of Boca's first restaurants and has a unique vibe going for it. From the old pictures on the wall to the trinkets throughout the restaurant, there is a lot to look at and learn from. I vary between the breakfast, burgers, salads, and today the nova bagel sandwich. I honestly haven't had a bad meal and the service is really good, too. They do a great job trying to make sure everyone is happy and the orders are made right. I definitely recommend The Griddle if you want a quick meal or a quiet place to work or study. read more

My husband and I came to this establishment based on a recommendation from a neighbor. We have a location in Boca and in NY. If you are looking for fancy this is not the place. If you want a quick bite for breakfast or lunch at a reasonable price this place is on point. At first glance the deco appears to be random but if you look you can see each area represents something different. It's interesting, the staff was nice not the fastest but fine. I had an omelette and the portion was too large to finish in one sitting my husband had the matzo brei. Both were good, i liked the home fries they were nice and crispy. This is definitely a local haunt but the patrons and staff were diverse I personally didn't see any signs of racism nor extremist behavior as some of the negative posts suggested. If you're looking for no frills versions eggs and bacon, pancakes, matzo brei, and sandwiches, The Griddle will deliver. The interior has more of a typical country diner feel meets airy retail space, with pale yellow walls and various accents and knickknacks hung up. There are plenty of tables at which to grab a seat, as well as at the counter. Plenty of parking in the lot, and it's close to most of the commercial office parks in the area an FAU. Like I said earlier, the menu is straight-forward, and what you see is what you get. Nothing wrong with that, as I've ordered ham and cheese omelettes and matzo brei there before, as well as pancakes, and every time it's been good. Usually, I go there, when I'm passing through and want something more than a bagel in short time and then be on my way. However, I've never had anything that made me jump for joy, or see it as anything else than somewhere I can to get a quick meal. The service has always been fair, and usually can get in, have my meal, and be out in no time. Service is a bit slow. Very full menu choice Eggs and potatoes were good. Probably the best feta and spinach omelette I've had since being here. Really good coffee. Second time had the bagel and lox platter- also very good. Nice portion of lox. No matter where you go you can't find a real NY bagel but that's not anybody's fault. Blame the water. And she was so argumentative. I specifically said "NO ONIONS." Guess what arrived in my food? Scallions. Hello!!! Scallions are onions. And she wouldn't accommodate me by making a new salad. I was to either pick them out or order a new entree. Nope. I stood up and walked out. If they don't know that a scallion is a (green) onion then they're either stupid or just don't care. This is probably my favorite breakfast spot in Boca Raton. It's simple, friendly, and consistent. If you go at a decent time, even on weekends, it's not too busy. The staff is awesome, and the food is always good. I recommend getting the Southern Sampler if you like biscuits and gravy. I usually get it with a side of home fries as well, as the meal itself it a bit small. They have great coffee, and serve it in interesting mugs. While this is one of the oldest breakfast joints in Boca, it is kept very clean. I would recommend it if you're looking for a quick breakfast. I hear the lunch is good too, but I have not tried it. My boyfriend and I live just a short walk away, and because we love supporting local businesses, we decided to give this place a try. We are in our early 20s, and are both in the service industry, so most of the time we tip over 25%. At first glance, the menu looks delicious, however the food that came for us was not so good. My boyfriend asked for extra chocolate chips, and he only got 8 chocolate chips total (yes he counted). My chicken that came with my waffles were dry. As far as service goes, we only saw our illusive waitress 3 times: when she brought us menus and took our order, when she brought our food, and when she left the check. Our waters were left empty until after she brought the check, but by then we were just ready to leave. I waited for her to pick up the check and she never did, so I had to take it inside. IT GETS WORSE: I decided not to leave a tip after I saw the sign that said "THERE IS ONLY ROOM FOR ONE LANGUAGE AND ONE FLAG IN THIS COUNTRY". I do not agree. We began walking home, and we got about 100 feet away and the waitress yells after us, in front of several others, "REALLY, NO TIP?" How inappropriate!! My boyfriend and I are typically excellent tippers, as I am in the service industry myself! But from the very beginning, we got very poor service at this restaurant, so we decided not to tip. Whoa! this is one of the better breakfast places in Boca. It's somewhat hidden in a shopping center. I actually lived directly behind The Griddle so i went there many many times. Their food is really great and the service is very personal and quick. They have excellent coffee too. I always get the corned beef hash, which i think is amazing, their grits are awesome too but you can only get them in the earlier hours because they're popular, eggs any style are good here too. Despite the terrible reviews decided to give this place a shot. The woman with the short hair was very rude with the way she spoke to us. Had to move because we're blocking the way. The restaurant was empty. Waited 15 minutes to place an order. We had to pay 18% gratuity because we had 6 people? We had 4 adults and 2 babies. Mine didn't even order anything.
