Great burritos! There is a variety of fillings and four different types of tortillas to choose. You can do takeout and they also make family meals. They provide inside and outside seating, but no alcohol. The outside needs help. Lots of trash on the sidewalk and no compost or recycling in the restaurant. The Green Enchilada has something for everyone. My vegan friends came for a visit from Florida and we wanted to dine out with another couple from Pacifica. Quandary: Where to eat so everyone would have good choices? Problem solved! We dined outside in front of the Green Enchilada Restaurant, at 444 Manor Shopping Center (located closer to the side bordered by Bill Drake Way). The food was great, and the service was exemplary. Our hostess was very attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meals. FYI bring a sweater, as the table did get a bit breezy as the evening sun went down. Also, l do not believe that have a liquor license, which did not bother me, but it surprised one member of our group. Since Pedro Point Brewery opened up around the corner, I decided to give this place a try again. They have really improved their food. It is not just me, but several others have mentioned it as well. One thing that I have enjoyed is their salads, was pleasantly surprised. I think this is one of the only decent salads in the neighborhood. For most taquerias a veggie burrito is rice,beans and lettuce..... que aburrido! At the green enchilada it's grilled bell peppers, onions, zucchini and marinated tofu with rice and beans and I love that! You can also super it if you want sour cream, guacamole and cheese. Hidden Gem!!! Been working in and around Pacifica the last few days. Had a taste for a shrimp burrito. Went to the Green Enchilada, first I was greeted by super friendly and cheery staff. Ordered to-go this Friday night and was thoroughly disappointed. The fries in the meaty carne asada fries were soggy, probably cooked in oil that was not hot enough. Crispy fries is not too much to ask for. The burrito was cold...again, just the basics. The guacamole looked like it was not fresh or homemade. The flavor of the food was mediocre at best. Pacifica and surrounding areas continue to be a restaurant desert. The best part of the night was that Carlos Santana was in the restaurant next door. We like this place, but we will no longer be a customer. We were impressed with the restaurant's response to Covid-19. Their website claims rigorous standards to protect their patrons. However, when you visit the restaurant, you'll find the words are just marketing, not practice. Two employees behind the counter were not covering their noses. What's the point of wearing a mask if you are not going to contain breathing. Given the hypocrisy of their claims versus practice, we are rating 1 star and will not return. For what it is worth, we have only found Go Sushi and Puerto 27 in Pacifica to abide by CDC recommendations. There may be others, hopefully, but we haven't found them yet. read more

The staff is really nice and helpful but the food didn't have much flavor, the restaurant could be cleaner, my plate had food stuck to the bottom and the floors/walls were in pretty bad shape. I had a chicken taco plate, with chips and salsa; the salsa was basically pureed tomatoes, not much cilantro, garlic or onion, the rice was cooked plain, w/o seasoning and the chicken was grilled without any spices whats over. Tiny little organic coastal Mexican restaurant nestled in Manor Plaza. Excellent burrito! I had the grilled chicken burrito with pintos, Spanish rice, lettuce and gauc all wrapped up in a spinach tortilla! Very fresh and tasty grilled chicken chunks. I used to frequent here quite a bit about 5 years ago when I lived in the area but never wrote a review. I used to get their grilled meats, steak or chicken, in the pint containers to throw on top of lettuce at home or for work lunches, delicious grilled meats. This was my first time eating here with my family. The workers were very nice and ordering was very easy. We ordered a shrimp burrito, fajita burrito, 50/50 enchiladas, and a salmon plate. Normally, veggie burritos are not that great to me- they don't have grilled veggies, the rice has chicken stock, or there's just like tons of lettuce haha. Really hope the management reads this. I used to love this place. I've been coming here for 5 years, and a year ago I would have given a glowing 5-star review. What changed in the last year? They started skimping...on everything. First they started charging $1.25 for the guacamole that used to come with the quesadilla. OK, fine, I'm happy to pay that, but the quesadilla itself is a shell of what it used to be. There are 4 slices and only 2 of them ever have any meat. Seriously, charge me more but give a reasonable portion and not a quesadilla that's only half full! Ditto with the enchilada: they only include a few drops of sauce and a minimal amount of cheese on top. These enchiladas used to be smothered in sauce in cheese! Every time we go I wind up getting angry that the food isn't as good as it used to be and I tell my husband that we should stop getting takeout from here. Now I'm posting a review to Yelp in hopes that others will second this post and that the managers will take note. I would happily pay a bit more than I used to if only Green Enchilada would give me the same quality and portion of food that they used to. Otherwise, this regular customer is about to become an ex-customer. ---- UPDATE: The next day. I'm officially done with this place. I gave them one last chance last night...and the food was a joke. This place needs to get a hold of their prices I bought two burritos my total was $27 with 3$tip for take out. The cook was very stingy with giving me green sauce and red sauce he gave me a half filled green sauce and he walked away with attitude. Everything is freshly made to order. I had two regular chicken tacos. The chicken was so tender, perfectly seasoned, and topped with their signature tomatillo sauce. This place is delicious. I couldn't ask for a better organic Mexican restaurant. I tried the 1/2 and 1/2 enchilada plate. It was delicious! I thought that the red sauce was rich as it should be, and the green sauce was mild and complex in its own right as well. It came with rice and beans, and was perfectly filling. The Green Enchilada is our guilty pleasure every time we go to Pacifica - Hey, as the sign says it, "Don't panic, it's organic"! And delicious. And not expensive. So what are you waiting for? Go get either their Mexican food or one of their delicious roast chicken ;-) You have to go to the back of the store to order your food - this is also where the healthy fresh fruit juice are stored - and you can see the cooks working on other patrons' meals. You can either eat inside, outside, or order to go. We usually order quesadilla (cheese, prawns or with roasted veggies, depending of the mood) and/or a grilled chicken to go, with the fresh fruits juice of the day. Along Highway 1, this place is situated in a small hub with plenty of parking. It's a smaller place so I guess seating can prove challenging at busier times, however, we didn't have a problem on a warm Sunday afternoon. Now to the nitty gritty. The Green Enchilada is all about the food and service, both of which are excellent. If you were to ask most people in the bay what they think of Pacifica, many respond with "where is that?". Well if you ever need to describe the town outside of the beautiful shoreline and quiet neighborhoods, you could also throw in that it acts as the home to one of the best Mexican restaurants in the bay. When you first go there you'll see it snuggled between a Chinese and Italian restaurant. Simply walk in and take a moment to view their large selection that can fit most appetites. My personal favorite being the super burrito comes packed with meat of your choice with beans, rice, cheese, sour cream with guacamole and Pico. Wife loves the carnitas and always raves about how fresh they are (while still stealing bites from my plate). And while the food is absolutely amazing, the staff are what keep us coming back. Warm, friendly people that actually enjoy interacting with people. The chef is a kind hearted man who loves to smile and see others do the same with his cooking. If a person truly enjoys what they do, it will show in their work and he exemplifies that in spades. In the 12 months since we've first stepped foot inside, we have been back so frequently that we are seen as regulars and they even know our orders before we even place them (I'm a creature of habit). The only downside is that I only learned about this gem recently and I grew up in Pacifica (go Tigers BTW).
