Phoned in an order for pick up and it was ready upon arrival. They charge you an extra 3% surcharge if you pay with card which is annoying but alright I guess. If you pay with cash, there is a slight discount. I ordered the Fajita burrito and the Veggie burrito. Each order comes with free chips and salsa, which were good. Unfortunately, both burritos were extremely bland. The vegetables and fillings didn't seem seasoned, and even the cheese lacked flavor. I kept expecting some spice or depth to come through, but it just never did. The texture was fine and the portions were huge (especially for the price) but the flavor simply wasn't there. A little disappointed because the photos online made the dishes look really vibrant and flavorful. With a little more seasoning and balance, these burritos could have been great. Had a late lunch/early dinner here after walking from the Pacifica Pier to Mori Point on a beautiful Sunday. We were craving something with fish after watching all the whales gorging on the anchovies. As soon as we sat down, the waitperson brought our menus and a complimentary basket of tortilla chips and a dish of salsa. The salsa had really good flavor with a bit of a kick, but it was somewhat overly salty; it's good the chips weren't salted. They have a pretty extensive menu including Mexican and Peruvian food. While I was enticed by the Peruvian food, I stuck with what my budget allowed. I ordered the fish taco plate that came with 2 tacos, rice, and beans. My friend ordered the same thing and our other friend ordered the fish burrito. The tacos are the size of street tacos, so if you're a big eater, it probably wouldn't be enough food for you. The rice that came on our plates (and in the burrito, BTW) was sadly undercooked, so it was hard and not edible. We told the waitperson and he brought out a side plate of well cooked rice. The food was good, but I would have appreciated a bit more fish in the tacos. Because the rice was undercooked, my friend with the burrito was not completely happy with her order, but she ate it (would be difficult to pick rice out of a burrito!!). My favorite Peruvian dish is arroz con mariscos and this place truly hits out of the park! Great price point too, under $30 and the portion is huge and so delicious! Really good amounts of seafood, nice big prawn at the top, and every bite is so flavorful and delicious, even just the rice! Rice! The rice is the perfect amount of saucy + flavor. The yucca fries are also amazing with a perfect dipping sauce that has a little tiny kick. The chips and salsa are also one of the favorites I've ever had, super delicious salsa, slightly spicy, all made with fresh grilled tomatoes! Every single staff member here was so friendly and I had an awesome lunch! I had not been here in a few years which was a bad decision on my part. I had not been here in several years, since they are in their older location, just a block away. This current newer location is great with bar seating and beers on tap! Came in on a Friday and ordered the camarón saltado; wow, amazing! The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the onions and tomatoes were sautéed just right in a flavorful salty sauce. It came with rice and potatoes, which made it really filling and satisfying. I also got a side of plantains because I love the sweetness, so tasty! Came by to get a burrito at their old location 5 years back and decided to come back, didn't know they moved but it is a block down and has a small parking lot. I ordered the ceviche and camarones a la diabla, let me tell youuu both was so good, I was drinking the ceviche juice with each bite. And mixed the rice with all the diabla sauce together. The chefs here have taken a masterclass at grilling beef or something. I dunno what they do but it's like candy tasty good. Best tacos in town by a longshot. They also prefer cash which I really like. There is a small 4% surcharge for credit cards to be aware of. There's a *giant* sign on the checkout that says cash preferred though, so it was my fault for not reading that. I would order the Lomo Saltado again; it was a good portion and tasted a bit like fried black bean Asian sauce (jjajang), with tender meat. Amazing, amazing amazing. I had ceviche de pescado and my girlfriend had pescado frito. The lime sauce on ceviche was as good as anything I've ever tasted. This place hits the spot. They used to be a smaller location just a few storefronts away from this current location. They expanded and are much larger to fit all the hungry customers. Loving the new location and the food is just as good as it was at their OG location. The staff, especially the owner, are friendly and inviting. Very nice and kind neighborhood folks. I am a really picky eater. I am pre-diabetic and also not wanting to eat a lot of carbs but craving something savory and tasty. I just had the Pescado de frito with black beans (instead of white rice) and I am such happy camper. The fried fish topped with red onion was just scrumptious and the presentation was beautiful. We asked for recommendations, and we ordered the loma saltado and the seafood a lo macho dishes. Haven't had the latter, and it was a surprisingly delicious dish. The loma saltado meat was cooked well done and a bit tough to eat but still ok. The food came quickly and hot. The ambiance is a typical mom and pop shop. Nothing too special about the ambiance or decor. The parking lot out front makes it easy to come here too. The bill was about $54 w/o tip and was well worth it for beef and seafood plates. We'd like to come back next time we have a craving for Peruvian. This place is WAAAAY better than the Puerto something restaurant by the Pacifica State Beach (long wait times, poor service, and overpriced foods). Come here instead. read more
