Finally came back to try something different. I ordered the regular burrito with fish and honey order carnitas plate. Our burrito was huge and honey carnitas plate (lots of meat) Carnitas was not dry. Would definitely order it again.

I was visiting my brother's family in Pacifica and this is one of their favorite spots and now one of my favorites! To start, their service is friendly and the have a solid spread for their salsa bar. They have a nice outdoor patio area but it was sadly fly season so we didn't chance it outside. I will say I've been here once before and ordered something else (honestly don't recall what specifically) but now that I've had their tacos I must sing their praises! I'm a sucker for cabeza (head) and lengua (tongue) tacos and these ones hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and truly a must order if you stop by! Their taco sizes are pretty reasonable (not street taco sizes) so 3 tacos was plenty for me. The tacos came with roasted green onion and jalapeno which were perfection and warmed my AZ native soul. Chef kisses all around! I loved this spot and will definitely be back!

If you're in Pacifica and craving authentic Mexican food, La Mordida is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, lively, and welcoming--like you've just stepped into a hidden gem where passion for great food truly shines. The flavors are outstanding across the board. The tacos are perfectly balanced with fresh ingredients, tender, well-seasoned meat, and handmade tortillas that elevate every bite. Their salsas bring the perfect mix of heat and flavor, and you can tell everything is made with care and authenticity. The portions are generous without sacrificing quality, and every dish comes out beautifully presented. What really makes La Mordida special is the overall experience. The service is friendly and attentive, making you feel genuinely appreciated as a guest. Whether you're stopping in for a casual meal or a relaxed dinner after a day by the coast, it's the kind of place that keeps you coming back. La Mordida isn't just great Mexican food--it's comfort, culture, and quality all in one. Easily one of Pacifica's best spots for bold flavors and a memorable meal.

Had tacos and quesabirria on our visit and it was a-ok. I think we ordered items that were not a specialty for this restaurant this makes me want to come back and try some other menu items.

Great place especially for late night eats. Restaurant kept pretty clean. Service is fast and staff are friendly. Their California burrito is huge. I typically will share that with someone it's so big. Love their crazy fries also. One of my go to spots.

I love this restaurant, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the logo is supposed to be. It looks like a duck wearing a sombrero trying to eat the letter A. Can someone tell me what it is?

The duck is taking a bite, and the way the duck is painted, its face looks like the word "LA" -- so La mordida (mordida = bite) one of the employees explained this to me. She doesn't understand how non-Latinos have so much trouble with this.

EDIT: Matthew & I emailed - updating my review. Thanks Matthew…read more A little bummed cause we come here all the time when we are in town! Love the cinnamon rolls & the pizza. I REALLY wanted to try the hot dog danish. I got up early & walked there so I could work off some calories for the 4th of July weekend lol. Got there around 7:03 (they open at 7) Looked in the case & didn't see the hot dog danish so I asked the young lady if they're out & she didn't know what I was talking about. Apparently she had no idea about the hot dog danish - so I stepped outside and called my husband and look on their IG to see if I was in the right place. Both confirmed I was - then I walked back in and she looked confused still & said they will probably be out later at lunch with the pizza - so I told her I'd walk back around 11-12. So I'm on my phone 3 hours later around 10am and I see the Hot Dog danish is sold out. extremely bummed over here. I literally could not stop talking about this danish to my husband then for it to be sold out before she said they would be set out - Really wish the young lady knew more about what was being served on 4th of July as she was clueless.

I got 2 sandwiches here, the turkey and the Italian hoagie, and it was an execution in KISS*…read more   Open interior, bright and airy, always music. Typical cafe with sandwich situation. If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid.

We ordered the Pineapple Painkiller and the Passionrita for drinks - $12 per cocktail (which feels like an insane deal in the bay area). Both were juicey and refreshing. To start, we got the Samosa Curry Puff. It was sinfully buttery, flakey, and full of curry flavored potato. The sweet and tangy cucumber salad on the side balances out the buttery decadence of the puff. Delicious and very filling to have 2 per person . The crispy rice salad, ohhhh my goodness. Insane flavor profile - super umami, crispy, and refreshing at the same time? Beware, we got the medium spicy, ignorant to the fact that Kan Kiin uses the THAI level spices. My mouth was on FIRE but the flavor was toooo good to stop eating. Absolutely delicious 11/10 We shared a Cloudy Chicken for the main. The chicken was fried crispy with sweet umami sauce clinging onto the skin. Another flavor bomb - goes super well with rice. Getting the crispy noodle bits that get blessed by the sauce is chefs kissss. The portions are pretty big, so we had leftovers and no space for mango sticky rice. Will definitely be back to try the other dishes ! Kan Kiin is definitely worth trying.
