This was my first time at La Mordida after passing by a lot. On a rainy Monday night, right after walking in I smelled a musty smell. I think it was from the black rugs they had inside that got wet from all the rain and people coming in and out. Really bad smell that had me running out after getting my take out order. As far as the menu, they have something for everyone. The jumbo spinach wrapped al pastor burrito was pretty oily after unwrapping foil. For the title of jumbo, there wasn't a lot of protein in it. For the super nachos, the guac wasn't fresh. For the amount of toppings in it, there wasn't enough chips. Free chips and salsa. But like others said the salsas have no flavor or spice. I've tried the burritos, tacos & most recently the camarones a la diabla & for the price and quality I wouldn't recommend this as my go to spot. If speaking local to Pacifica, I'd prefer La Perla or Taqueria Pacifica. The shrimp and chicken burritos are good but a bit plain & the tacos were decent. I was very disappointed with the camarones a la diabla. Two plates plus tax came out to be $50 and there was absolutely no spice to the sauce. It felt like I was eating sweet and sour sauce. I buy camarones a la diabla specifically for the delicious spicy sauce so I was let down. Service has always been kind and quick & and the environment is always welcoming. If this is the only Taqueria that you can go to, I'd recommend getting the tacos or one of their speciality plates. read more

I was visiting my brother's family in Pacifica and this is one of their favorite spots and now one of my favorites! To start, their service is friendly and the have a solid spread for their salsa bar. They have a nice outdoor patio area but it was sadly fly season so we didn't chance it outside. I will say I've been here once before and ordered something else (honestly don't recall what specifically) but now that I've had their tacos I must sing their praises! I'm a sucker for cabeza (head) and lengua (tongue) tacos and these ones hit the spot! The meat is incredibly tender and truly a must order if you stop by! Their taco sizes are pretty reasonable (not street taco sizes) so 3 tacos was plenty for me. The tacos came with roasted green onion and jalapeno which were perfection and warmed my AZ native soul. Always fresh. Always flavorful. Super consistent and worth the wait. I had the Marina Fajitas plate this last time and the shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I saved the tortillas for a later meal and filled myself up with the plate of Spanish rice and refried beans. It actually deserves 0 stars. they messed up on my order twice (no cheese, no crema, 2 enchiladas and it came out with cheese, crema, only 1 enchilada, and it had only cheese). After the initial mistake, we asked it to be corrected and it took 20-30 min and they still had cheese. They use poor AI-generated art, which gave me the creeps as the eyes were messed up and looked soulless. I'm also disappointed that a small business would exploit other small creators' IP and use AI generated anything. Like to have nice wall art, you don't have to go the AI-generated route; you can just get some cheap framed prints from Marshall's or thrift or even commission someone if you have money. But to use AI-generated art that exploits small creators as a small business is unnecessarily expensive and it's distasteful, both in appearance and vibe Besides all that, the food was not great compared to other Mexican places in the area. The food was horrible. I ordered a huarache with no salsa and it came out with salsa. When I asked to remove it they held my food hostage for about 20 minutes and came back with nothing but onion on top. The cook also didn't add the sour cream that came with the huarache and said that since I didn't want salsa, he thought I didn't want sour cream, but had the sour cream ready on the side because he knew we were going to ask for it. When this was addressed the cook laughed out loud and asked to speak to the manager they did not want to give that information to me. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Ordered the taco plate in which I chose carne asada which also comes with rice and beans. I have been to other similar taquerias most notably Tacos Uruapan in Hayward and in comparison although the tacos were good here,I didn't get a "wow" factor afterwards. The beans were an odd color and not what I was used to with an orange tinge.
