A great option if you are in the area!…read more I think their biggest selling point is their portion sizes & overall value for what you pay. I tried their fish taco & super burrito with pastor & shrimp. Both were overflowing with protein, to the point where you need silverware to scoop it all up! The fish were very fresh, though I wish there was a bit more seasoning on both. The salsas help make up for it, but overall I found the flavor profiles to be a bit one-note. Taco was $6 & burrito was $17. Again, good value for what you get. I wouldn't recommend a special trip, but it's a great option if you're already nearby!

"Great hole-in-the-wall Mexican near SFO airport"…read more Came here for dinner at 6pm on a Monday night, based on good Yelp reviews. The place is unassuming-- has a thin stretch of outdoor seating and a handful of tables inside. Not super bright in lighting, and a TV inside was showing a baseball game. Seemed like a lot of the business was takeout, as people would come, hover, get food, and leave. I was GOING to order the fish tacos or a fish quesadilla, but I was swayed by the picture of a breaded fish plate special. My son got the carne asada quesadilla, and others at the table got a veggie burrito and a chicken bowl. Food came out pretty quick-- maybe around or just over 10 minutes (the fish plate and veggie burrito came out slightly after the other two). I was very impressed that the fish plate looked even BETTER than the photo (see photos of both). The fish was HUGE. There was a generous helping of guacamole, lots of fresh avocado slides, some onion and cabbage, etc. There was a nice bed of lettuce on the side with sour cream over it, and the rice & beans (covered with a thin layer of cheese) on another side. The fish plate was just delicious. The batter wasn't overpowering or too heavy, and the fish was excellent inside (and very flat). I really liked the sauce in a little cup on the fish, or having it with avocado or guacamole, or even straight. The rice and beans were yummy too. Such a great dish, and it was under $20 before tax and tip. My dining companions all liked their food, though my son said the carne asada meat was "just good" (he had a bite of the chicken and said that was better). The person at the register was friendly. And as mentioned, the prices were very reasonable. I'd happily eat here again if in the area. Great portion size, great quality, good value, etc. Enjoy!

The burrito had potatoes, but they weren't french fries. They were boiled potato strips. Kind of somewhat annoying when that's what I was looking forward to. I'm not from the San Bruno/650 area, but if I'm ever around there again, I wouldn't mind going back to maybe try their fish tacos. Nice staff, too! It was a little loud, though, as there was someone singing at the bar and another gentleman was playing music near our table, haha. FOOD: I usually go for the tostada de salpicon which is a mixture of shrimp and octopus or a coctel de camaron, but today I decided to change it up. I got the camarones à la española which is shrimp with a sliver of bell pepper, cheese and wrapped in bacon. In opinion, the slice of bell pepper was quite unnecessary, but regardless the dish was pretty good. I've also had their taco de asada but I upgrade to the arrachera meat which is skirt steak and soooo worth the $3 up charge. Comes in a hand made tortilla instead of the small street style one too. As we were sitting at the bar, I witnessed the bartender making drinks and they just didn't seem appealing. If you want an alcoholic drink, I'd suggest sticking with beer, shots of tequila or a michelada because like I said, the bartender didn't really look like she knew how to properly mix or make cocktails. SERVICE: On arriving, the lady had us sit wherever we wanted. We decided to sit at the bar as there was a small band playing there Saturday night. Service was attentive despite them being pretty busy that night. PARKING Can be difficult on the main street, but there always seems to be something available. Make sure to pay your meter because San Bruno loves ticketing.

My partner is vegetarian and ordered three veggie tacos. They were large and filled with beans, rice, onions, cilantro, and salsa. He really enjoyed the flavors and even wanted to order more to go. However, the line did pick up pretty quickly after we received our food. Some restaurants give you free chips and salsa when you order a burrito. This one does not. The staff here seem friendly, there's plenty of seats inside. The prices are very reasonable here. The burritos are a decent size. They're skinnier than what I'm used to though. I will say though that there's not a lot going on with my burrito even though I ordered a super burrito. I also asked for some pico de gallo to be added to my burrito, but they forgot to add it. I ordered carne asada as the meat. The meat was pretty dry. I'm used to having juicier pieces of meat. There was also a smokey flavor to the meat, which I did not like. There was barely any sour cream in the burrito, plenty of rice, barely any salsa in it, the cheese was also veeeery little in there. I'm not sure how this place has so many high ratings. It was very underwhelming for my husband and I. Maybe we went at a bad time or the wrong day? Maybe the person making it was rushing? But I have definitely had better burritos. I really wanted to like this place a lot since I love burritos and it's local. I love to support small businesses, but they skimped out on a lot of the ingredients here. I do like their green sauce, but it'd definitely spicier than what I am normally used to.

The chicken in the taco was quite dry, but with the habanero salsa helped quite a bit. The tortillas for the tacos were really good though. The tacos are quite big but definitely would go for their carne asada instead. For the burrito, it was greasy from the grill, but overall it was fine. The carne asada had good flavor and crisp to it. Their pico de gallo is still one of the best and wish I had asked for extra inside the burrito. Not a ton of rice which was nice, good portion of meat, but for a super there was very small amount of sour cream and guac to the point it wasn't very noticeable. Overall, not a bad spot in a pinch for a quick meal. This was a popular spot for me in the late 00s and like coming back every once in a while for nostalgia.
