Found this hidden spot in Downtown Brisbane, and it definitely did not disappoint! I got the plate with Chile Relleno and a Chicken Enchilada for around 17 dollars with tax. At first I was skeptical cause it's definitely on the pricier side, but it also came with rice and refried beans with cheese, as well as pico, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. In my opinion for that amount of food and considering how hefty the Chile Relleno was the price was right! My brother got the lengua super burrito and said it was good as well. The salsa they gave us was spicy and flavorful. Also I wanted to add this is one of the few Mexican spots we've been to that actually has CRUNCHY tacos, so if that's up your alley yk this is spot for ya! Would definitely go again as they have a wide variety of options on the menu. Also interior is very nice and staff is kind and fast with orders!

Clean, cute restaurant. Food was ready fast and tasted good! Really liked the chips and fresh salsas. Burrito was perfect size with crispy breakfast potatoes, ham and eggs. Would definitely recommend and go back to try more items. Service was quick, and server was nice.

The reason why this is three stars is because I received a dinky amount of salsa and the chips taste like they are from a bag. The other items were mediocre for the price not worth coming back for, blah. They have a large drink selection and I don't know what else to say about this place but the food is overpriced for the quality. They need to focus on good food then they will make more money that way. Maybe offer some hamburgers in addition to Mexican food to attract more costumers.

Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos. Skip the Asada...

Been here a few times over the years, but never left a review. So here goes. Place is clean and decorative for a taqueria. You order from a menu on the wall. Noticed that they had divorced eggs! Normally I would be all over this but decided on tacos; one Pastor and one Asada. The spicy salsa and the pico combined with the thick chips, were the stars of this meal. Asada was flavorless. The Pastor was seasoned well but lacks pina. I'd come back but cannot recommend the Asada.

start with the fresh crispy tortilla chips and spicy salsa with the Pico de Gallo, then devour delicious huevos con chorizo, and the BEST pozole! Every bite is a flavor punch; bold and melt-in-the-mouth goodness.

The food, a shrimp quesadilla with refried beans, sour cream and guacamole on the side, chips, pick de gallo, and a small glass of Jamaica, was all tasty fresh, and well made. The service--order at the counter, food is brought to your table--was efficient and well handled. The ambiance is very pleasant, lots of interesting decor, lots of natural light, good acoustics. If I lived closer I would eat here often.

The cheesy nachos and fresh guacamole are extraordinarily delicious!! This fantastic Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu is also is a rare gem for another reason. It arguably serves some of the last Anchor Brewing Beers left on the planet- RIP Anchor Brewing, a San Francisco tradition since 1896, now coming to an end! The service was friendly and impeccable and the restaurant was clean and had neighborly, authentic vibes.

I'm struggling to write a review for this place because it has some good points but also some lower ones. I ordered the Crispy taco and beef enchilada. First off the chips and taco shell or anything crunchy were just not okay. The shell and chips tasted either old or from a stale bag or both. They did not taste like homemade chips or a homemade taco shell and that was a bummer. The meat was chunky and well seasoned but the red sauce was very plain. Same with the plain beans but overall okay rice. Their hot salsa was blah like a really bad bottled salsa and same for their Pico de gallo. Their horchata is a mix and not homemade and their flan is just okay. 3 stars for okay.

I've been meaning to try this place because I wanted somewhere to get my tacos. The decor inside is nice, but it had a weird smell that wasn't very appetizing. The food wasn't spectacular. The tacos were okay, but the meat wasn't seasoned right. The chicken tamale tasted a little stale. The enchilada was good. The meal comes with chips and salsa and the salsa had a good kick. I don't think this will become my go-to place, but it was good to try at least once.

Clean little taqueria. Free chips and spicy salsa. A bit too expensive, overall. Food was pretty standard. Service was friendly enough.

We feel that it's one of the perks of living in San Francisco. What cuisine do we not have? We were craving Mexican food and we found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow on Leland Street in Visitacion Valley. We entered the restaurant that was 1/3 filled at 11:30 a.m. The restaurant was cozy and homey. Let's eat here! Done. The menu was extensive, so we asked the young lady (Jocelyn) what's popular. She said everyone loves the chilaquiles with their special verde sauce. Done. Then I asked, what else is good? Jocelyn said they normally run out of their empanadas/turnovers. There were 3 left (pineapple, apple and chicken). We'll take them all. Done. Now, what to drink? Jocelyn suggested the cafe de olla. Done. OMG the best best suggestion ever. Not only was the food delicious and all the homemade sauces the tastiest... the cafe de olla (Mexican coffee with cinnamon) hit the mark. The coffee was the star of my meal. I would drive all the way to Leland Street just for this. That's how yummy it was. After we finished eating we sat around and spoke to Jocelyn (a junior in high school) and her father Jose. We said we'll return for sure. He said you have to try the enchilada mole. His wife is from Puebla and that's where mole is made. He was so kind to give my BF a sample. Definitely a great great find! I wouldn't mind getting it again but I do want to try their al pastor next time. Their fish plate was pretty good as well. Loved the crispness of the fish and it didn't feel greasy or heavy. It came with avocados, rice, beans, lettuce and 4 flour tortillas. I wouldn't mind getting this again. A basket of chips came for each person as soon as we sat down and there was a healthy selection of salsa. I didn't care for the chips itself as they were too salty for me. The ambiance is very festive and there were plenty of people coming in and out. We dined in and found myself wishing they gave real silverware rather than plastic. We were only give one real fork for the fish and it was difficult to break apart. Their plastic cutlery was also pretty flimsy so we mostly ate with our hands.
