I got a pickup order, so my review will be based on food. I only ordered the bbq pork rice plate to go. The food tasted home cooked, and pretty decent. I'd like to return to try their pho on one of these weekends.

Vegan fresh rolls (4 in an order)

Excellent vegan-friendly spot a block from the beach in Pacifica. Atleast 3/16 items on the menu are vegetarian/vegan. Yay! I got the vegan tofu fresh rolls and they were bomb. It was a large portion with four in an order; enough for lunch and a snack. It came with peanut sauce, a soy based sauce, and sambal. See photo attached. They also had vegan eggrolls and a tofu bahn mi on the menu. The women who run the cafe are so sweet and friendly. Everything is made to order, super fresh, and prepared quickly. There is a table for two outside, which was great after the beach with our dog. Thank you!

#5 pork

For a fast and casual banh mi for a reasonable price, Kitten and Pinky delivers. There are no kittens though. My friend and I loved our #5 BBQ pork sandwich for $8.99. The bread tasted fresh and crispy. The pork was juicy. Definitely coming back to support this business.

A cute, small spot walking distance from the beach! The staff are welcoming and made our sandwiches very quick. The restaurant has some inside tables, but we picked up a few sandwiches and ate them by the water. The sandwich is reasonably priced and large portion, no skimping on the meat. The bread and toppings were fresh and good ratio to the amount of meat.

Stopped for a Vietnamese coffee here in Pacifica and left with some Mayonnaise bread and combo sandwiches (Pate, Pork, cucumber. Cilantro) . Yum! Nice little place super fast service! We are taking these sandwiches to go but they look delicious!

This little family-owned spot in Pacifica is a great lunch and dinner restaurant serving up classic Vietnamese-inspired sandwiches. We grabbed dinner to-go and ate it back at our rental house. We ordered the BBQ Pork sando, the tofu sando, the veggie spring rolls, and the chicken over rice. After ordering, the food took about 15 minutes and came to around $50. Tipping is optional. While I thought everything was tasty, nothing was amazing. The flavors were there, but not all of the vegetables were fresh, and some tasted like they had been pre-prepared hours earlier. The spring rolls were wrapped in plastic wrap, which tells me they were certainly made long before ordering. The pork seemed a bit tough and dried out, same for the chicken. Not bad, but could be better. I would go here again, knowing what to expect, but from what I hear, there are several other Vietnamese places in the area that could be worth trying. I still love supporting a great local business and would recommend this as a great stop on the main drag of Pacifica.

My husband found this restaurant because we wanted to find food before we went to the beach in Pacifica. The place was packed. We got there just a little after the start of lunchtime. Most people seem to be enjoying their vermicelli bowls. They looked really good and fresh and smell delicious. I felt like their prices were really reasonable, especially given the quality of the food. I got the mayonnaise bread which has shrimps, mayonnaise, cheese, and green onions. The bread almost tasted like Texas toast. It was really good. It was cheesy. It had a generous amount of shrimp. It almost tasted like shrimp salad as well. I had never had something like that before so it was nice to try something new. We also got the shrimp rolls with a side of peanut sauce and that was delicious. We asked them to leave the pork out. They individually wrapped each roll, which was so nice because usually the rolls get stuck together and torn, but that didn't happen this time. their peanut sauce was excellent. I think next time we would order a different peanut sauce. We ended up eating on the beach, but the inside of the restaurant was super cute and quaint and clean. It was so busy that there weren't any tables available, but we would love to dine in another time. I highly recommend this place. It's walking distance to the beach and has super fresh. Super tasty super authentic food. They even have a parking lot.

I heard good things about the banh mi here and decided to forgo my go-to banh-mi spot, Dinosaurs, to try this. Sandwich was just okay. The grilled pork was a bit fatty and the bread was no semifreddis. Saving grace was the banh-mi was much cheaper, but I'd pay a bit more for Dinosaurs any day

Bun thit nuong - vermicelli with grilled pork. Very good and only $8.00!

They do *large* party orders too! We had a birthday party for my little guy and K&P supplied us with 20 banh mi order of different meats. Each banh mi was fully loaded as usual, individual packaged with napkins. Everyone at the party loved the banh mi, so much flavor. Support this local family gem, highly recommend!

Very kind staff, generous portions, and plenty of food and drink options! When I attended I.B.L. middle school many years ago I often went to a vietnamese cafe on the same block for sandwiches but it's no longer there Saw Kitten & Pinky on google maps while back in Pacifica for the day and had to try out their food! I had the combination pork sandwich- it was overflowing with sauce, meats, and had a great ratio of meat to veggie. delicious and honestly unique from other combo pork banh mi i have had as it was both savory and slightly sweet(?). quality meats and i enjoyed it. my sister had the bbq pork , and said it was good! meat portions also looked great.

Good sandwiches. Ordered combo pork and bbq pork sand whiches and 2 Vietnamese iced coffees. Fast friendly service. Family owned and operated. Sweet workers and lots of filling/meaty inside-very tasty! Fresh bread and toasted to perfection with a nice delicate crunch!

Nice little shop with down home cooking here. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous and the taste is spot on. A few tables inside and outside to choose from and the staff are very friendly and attentive . Only a few blocks from the Pacifica pier, which makes it a convenient lunch choice when you're in the mood for some good Vietnamese food.

Never a bad meal - we always order their breakfast dishes and coffee. Everything is high-quality and freshly made, so it's nice to support a local small business. We (as a family) tend to eat breakfast dishes + coffee beverages at least once a week at Soul Grind. The bad: There are a few laptop campers who take up larger tables. I saw an individual who was camped on a bench (the one by the register, made to accommodate 4 to 6 people) - they were sitting there alone (laptop, headphones on). It was clear they had been there for several hours, slowly drinking one beverage. Witnessed an elderly couple ask if they could sit there instead, and that person grabbed rudely their cup and moved it towards the end of the table, as if to say they weren't moving. I don't understand why individual remote workers can't sit at smaller tables, instead of inconsiderately taking up larger spots. Soul Grind should implement minimum party seating/time limits - individuals like this ruin the atmosphere/vibe.

Great quality coffee!! We even ordered some breakfast sandwiches (those are just decent) but the apple fritter was delicious! Also the prices are extremely fair! The guy behind the register was maybe one of the friendliest workers I talked too that entire weekend in Pacifica. Great kid, super personable! Without hesitation, he remade it right away and even offered me the first one for free, which I thought was really kind and showed great customer service. The matcha itself was decent but it wasn't nothing mind blowing but definitely good enough to enjoy and sip on. It had a nice balance and wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated. What really stood out more than anything was the service. The guy was friendly, professional, and genuinely attentive, which made the experience better overall. If you're looking for a quick matcha fix in a convenient location with solid service, this is a good spot to check out!

If they're busy, they might forget to call your name and you'll need to go get the food yourself, which is frankly impossible to fathom when you come from San Francisco. But Pacifica is different, y'know?   Anyway.  ------------------------------ First, the turkey sandwich. 5/5 I'm guilty of expecting the meat to be the focus on a sandwich, but in this case the turkey was the filler, which, as a carnivore, is there a better meat filler? Bread, dijon, lettuce, turkey, queso. The dijon did for flavor what the lettuce did for texture, throwing in a twang that kept the sandwich interesting. Its creaminess tag-teamed with the cheese to keep the sandwich in one piece. Great sidekicks. The turkey was... Nothing special. Clean but mundane, for the star of the show was the bread.    Some of you might roll your eyes.  No shiet, Sherlock.  THIS. IS.  A bakery.   Cuz some of you might roll your eyes.  It's just bread.    But this isn't wonder-bread. It's dense. It's got a chew.   The sourdough is minimally sour, hearty, with a thick, hard crust, and made matrimony with the turkey. A lil bit of salt, the slightest tang, tango-ing into a single texture. Those of us who've had an egg sando in Japan understand how the softness of the egg salad made the softness of the bread fundamental. The turkey here wasn't slipping anywhere, though it complimented the meatiness of the bread. This, sandwich, needs, teeth.    I hope you weren't expecting to eat turkey without teeth. Perhaps that's tofurkey you're thinking about.   The crust was hard too. A well supported, almost crunchy hardness, and a far cry from the st-ale pork rind that the free bread in Mont-real would remind you of. I ended up turning the sandwich sideway as if I was enjoying a taco.   The best panera you'll get and a supreme sleeper.   ------------------------------ The second sandwich: 4/5 The sesame studded hoagie, on the other hand, was nothing short of Guns N' Roses. This sub had a KISS of intensity from the seared meats, a KISS of spice from the mayo and capocollo, a KISS of sharpness from the provolone, and a single leaf of romaine to give that little crunch and freshness, so you can tell your mom that you ate your veggies. There's going to be a rock concert in your mouth. With each element in a bit to prove their existence, it ended up being too intense for us. With these all being strong flavors, it's amazing that you could still taste everything. And they work well together. It's just that your taste buds will send an SOS, walking out of a Black Sabbath concert feeling a bit drained, like Spongebob breaking down after working the tables at Squidward's five star restaurant. The crustiness of the roll, the studded texture of the sesame, the meat escarpment slipping out, you will have no more desire for thee. Water. Something to cleanse the mouth.   If you're one of those among us who gets sweet emotions eating curry without naan or rice, this could be your bad medicine.   * Keep it simple, stupid.

It's not as dense compared to some other popular SF bakeries if that's the texture you're looking for. Kouigan amann - my favorite one. From outside vibes to the indoor decorations with all the tea sets and cute little tables and small mirrors and trinkets on the walls. It reminded me of Bridgeton and Victoria time. I could spend an entire afternoon here looking at all the cute tea set. Because we had our puppy with us, we opted for an outdoor seating which was equally as nice! Large white-and-yellow-striped umbrellas gave us some needed shades as it was a sunny day. Our table was covered with cute table cloth and everything looks neat and clean. Maybe we expected more since we really enjoyed Lovejoy's the last couple times we went there (I believe they share the same owner, but I may be mistaken). While we give the buttery and fragrant scones very high marks, and the salad and the crumpets were ok, the sandwiches and desserts were not great. The bread was dry and the filling was skimpy compared to many other high teas we have tried, and the petit fours were plain and seemed store-bought. The crumpets came after the desserts because they forgot to serve them to us (not a big deal and they were very apologetic). For the price, we expected more than one tiny item from the dessert tray. The teas were all lovely, but they were out of their Pacifica Blue tea which we were specifically looking forward to trying. This is the 12th tea service we have tried in the past couple years, and we find that we prefer teas that include an assortment of more deluxe dessert items (like SIP or Rotunda in SF), and sandwiches that are made with a variety of breads such as rolls or mini croissants along with the traditional sliced bread, and with more generous filling.
