Support this small family business!! This is our Family go to spot for Cheese Steaks!! shout out tot the staff for always being taking care of us! had the game and and we decided to eat indoors! Top Tier!! It is always clean especially the bathrooms.

    Get real.

5/5 for the food -2 for this cringe message they posted. If you're shortstaffed it's because you're too cheap to hire more people or offer better pay.

While I never had it all that often, I always had a go-to spot whenever I had the craving for a cheesesteak. However, with my first one having shuttered a few years back and my more recent one closing just a few months ago, I've had to embark on a (potentially delicious) hunt to find a new go-to spot! First up on the hit list? The ever so aptly named The Cheese Steak Shop! Coincidentally, much like my past haunts, The Cheese Steak Shop is in a plaza that's not all that busy, so parking here is super easy. Inside, the look and vibe of this place definitely feels like a chain, but it's far from a fast food chain. As for the menu, there's a surprising wealth of options to choose from. Not only can you choose from beef or chicken for your cheesesteak, as well as the type of cheese/cheese whiz, but there are over a dozen different styles/combinations to choose from as well, including a couple of vegetarian varieties. They also offer a "king" size, which is a large with 50% more meat and cheese, and a variety of salads, sides, and a kids menu if you want something lighter. -- MOTOWN PHILLY with Beef, Onions, Peppers, Provolone Cheese, and Sliced Mushrooms This was pretty solid. The peppers were a bit overpowering, but what I could taste complemented each other well. The mushrooms had a nice bite to them and I liked the gooiness of the provolone. I just wish there was more beef (though, that's always true). -- CURLY FRIES These were great! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but, more importantly, they weren't at all oily. The portion was generous, but I could've easily downed more. -- PIZZA STEAK with Beef, Onions, Peppers, Pepperoni, Pizza Sauce, and Provolone Not perfect, but I liked this better than the Motown. I could've done with less pizza sauce, but the pepperoni went really well with the beef to give it a little more spice and meatiness while also holding up against the peppers. -- TATER TOTS If I had to choose, the curly fries were better, but these weren't too shabby either. Similarly, the tots weren't at all greasy and have a nice, potato-y flavor, but I do wish they had been crispier. Regardless of whatever cheesesteak you get with whatever meat (or vegetables) in it, quite possibly the best thing about The Cheese Steak Shop's cheesesteaks just might be the Italian roll they use. Not only is it incredibly soft, but I love how it's just slightly crusty and how it soaks up all of the meat/sauce/juices so well. Plus, service is great as well - all of the guys who were manning the register/kitchen were super friendly. All in all, while I don't think The Cheese Steak Shop is quite as good as either of my old go-to spots, it wouldn't be unreasonable to say they've already staked out a strong claim to be my new go-to spot. Even if another spot should happen to surpass them, given how good the food has been and how convenient it is to come here, there's a better than likely chance I'll be back to try more of the menu!

Very friendly employees when ordering. We have been to Philly over 40 times and these cheesesteaks tasted just like being there!! The Amoroso's rolls are what make it a true authentic cheesesteak!! This was deliciousness with each bite. Tried to save some for the next day but they were way too good. I loved all the pics of all the cheesesteak places from Philly! What a nice touch. If we are ever back in this area again we will definitely be stopping in here again!!

Philly in Daly City! I travel to Philly for work, so I've tried about 10 of the top cheesesteaks in the city. To me, The Cheesesteak Shop is as good as many of the shop, and better than some. This spot is the real deal. These cheesesteaks are so delicious, we find ourselves craving it all the time. The meat is tender, flavorful, and well seasoned. The cheese is melty, packed with flavor. Finally the roll is soft and soaks up some of the rib eye juices. Tip, get the king size for extra meat. It gives you the higher meat to bread ratio. Also, order on the app to reduce the wait time.

Solid cheese steak spot! One of the only cheese steak shops that actually pack the sandwich with meat. My little sister said she enjoys the chicken more than the steak, but i tried it and thought it was solid. Waitress was very kind and inside is small, but there is seating if you wanted to dine in with some tables! Would definitely recommend to those who are craving a cheese steak and want to get their money's worth! ALSO wanted to mention their sweet and spicy peppers anddd their ranch are to die for and absolutely necessary 4 any order!

The BEST cheese steak in the entire Bay Area, and it isn't even close! Absolutely delicious. Fries were very good as well - zero oil taste. Will be back to grab another cheese steak soon...

I ordered the Pop's special with chicken and turkey bacon on dutch crunch (SO FIRE) and lots of yummy swiss and pepper jack cheese just for that lil spicy zing. The sub was SO good, and the dutch cruntch was so good didn't even scrape the roof of my mouth. I haven't been here in ages and I happen to pass by when I noticed them. I checked their reviews and they seemed legit. Usually, new places that pop up have tons of "fake" reviews. IYKYK! Just like the place is named after, they not only offer Subs, but it's a basically a mini-mart that sells Halal meats and Middle Eastern and Mediterranean grocery items. They also have all types of Baklavas, that were sweet, rich and decadent. I've even purchased my very Turkish Coffee and cezve - a small pot with a long handle designed to brew finely ground coffee over a stovetop or sand. The nice gentleman instructed me on how to brew Turkish coffee. I just googled the rest. Anyways, on my first visit, I ordered their Pastrami Wrap. It's basically Pastrami wrapped in a Pita with all the fixins' but with a twist on the sauce. If l'm not mistaken, it's either Tahini or Tzatziki sauce. It gave it a different flavor that was quite delightful. Be careful though as it can get messy as this thing will drip down your hands and clothes as I found out the hard way. On my second visit, I was so impressed by the wrap that I ordered it again. I was more careful to eat it this time around, but it still dripped down my shorts. That's what I get for eating in the car. They have 10 items on their Subs menu, and they all look good. Aside from the Pastrami Wrap, they also have chicken, roast beef and turkey. They have five meat-type subs and one tuna sub all reasonably priced starting from $10.95 to $14.95, which is a great deal in this day of age. The people working here are very nice and friendly. As I mentioned earlier, the gentleman who was providing me information on Turkish coffee was also looking out for my best interest. Instead of upselling me something, he gave me a more practical advice on what to purchase. All in all, a friendly and inviting place where they offer delicious and affordable sandwiches, to which I will certainly be back for more.

This grocery/convenience store has your typical products you would see, like liquor, sodas, snacks, i.e., candy, chips, ice cream, but they even sell things like shampoo, cold/flu meds and lottery tickets! The store may have what you need so you won't have to run to Target, Walgreens or CVS. They don't have music or a tv in the background; it's quiet and peaceful. We noticed this because it was Super Bowl Sunday and they don't have a tv, so we had to go online to check the score. *** OUR PICKS*** RIB EYE STEAK SANDWICH W/SWISS CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ While ordering this, I told myself, this is gonna be GREAT! I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this sandwich! But when I took a bite, all I could taste was salt?! I'm not sure if the steak was over seasoned or the Swiss cheese made it salty from being cooked, but I've never had that happen when making a sandwich at home. Since there's no place to eat it at the store, we took it home and tried adding more lettuce and avocado to offset the saltiness, but even that didn't help. By the end of the day, I couldn't get my ring off my finger! It was swollen from the amount of salt in the sandwich because that's the only thing I ate. I drank lots of water, but I became bloated. Next time, I'll nix the cheese and order another kind of sandwich and hopefully have a better experience. 3/5 ROAST BEEF & PASTRAMI W/PROVOLONE CHEESE ON DUTCH CRUNCH ~ this was better than the steak sandwich. My guy had this one. It was salty, but it didn't overpower my tastebuds or the sandwich. I only took a bite to try. 4/5 While jalapeño peppers and pepperoncini are sour, spicy and salty, the meat shouldn't be overwhelmingly salty too then the whole sandwich wouldn't be pleasant to eat. There needs to be something bland to balance it. Now in this steak sandwich, I didn't even add jalapeños or pepperoncini. I only had pickles, onions, lettuce, tomatoes. Yet the salt cut through it all and hit me. I believe someone got overzealous with the salt shaker not realizing it was too much. Of course, the customer finds out after taking a bite! Though I think there should be some quality control in making sure it's done right. Maybe taste testing should be a thing. We may come around again and give them another shot. We really enjoyed it the first time and we were hoping for a repeat, but disappointingly, it didn't go as planned.

The walls are covered with San Francisco sports memorabilia, which gives the place some character. There were at least five employees working behind the counter, all moving efficiently and cranking out multiple sandwiches at once. They clearly have their process dialed in. We ordered the S1 with avocado, salami, and cheddar instead of Swiss, loaded with all the toppings. The salami was thick cut and high quality. I was surprised when they put it in the oven, but it ended up being one of the best parts of the sandwich. Everything came together really well.
