    Mac Attack !
    Stacey I.

The Barn is the perfect laid-back spot with fresh, quality food. Tucked a little off the beaten path, it's the kind of place you're glad you made the drive for. I've been during their busy summer rush and on quiet, chilly winter days -- and both experiences have been equally great. FOOD: 9/10 DRINKS: 9/10 SERVICE: 9/10 AMBIANCE: 8/10 Favorites: - Mac Attack: fried mac & cheese perfection, crunchy outside and gooey inside -BLT(a): Classic sandwich, but I like to add Avocado for an extra charge -Hand-cut fries: simple, hot, and delicious -Mango Lemonade: refreshing and bright with just the right sweetness FOOD: 9/10 The food here hits that perfect balance of comfort and quality. Everything tastes fresh and intentional, from the juicy burger to the fresh BLT sandwich. The Mac Attack is dangerously addictive, and the fries are the kind you keep reaching for even when you tell yourself you're done. DRINKS: 9/10 The Mango Lemonade is a standout...fruity, tangy, and super refreshing without being sugary. It pairs perfectly with the heavier, comfort-forward dishes like the Mac attack or fries. Their drink lineup has other flavors that are fun and fit the coastal vibe. SERVICE: 9/10 Staff are friendly, warm, and pretty efficient for an outdoor-only setup. Even with the crowd, everything felt under control, and the wait never felt too long. They keep things moving while still being personable. AMBIANCE: 8/10 This place is rustic, casual, and very "Half Moon Bay." The outdoor seating, garden touches, and relaxed coastal feel make it an easy spot to unwind. It's cozy, though being fully outdoors means the weather definitely plays a role. Still, it has plenty of charm, a warm community vibe, and I love that they offer fire pits. There are lots of different seating options, and plenty of space to spread out. Definitely one of my favorite spots to go to, and it's on my list of places to come back to!

First time there and checked it out before our round of golf nearby at Half Moon Bay Golf Links. My buddy recommended it for the pulled pork sandwich, but after reading the reviews I opted to try their Hot Farmer burger instead. Found it to be tasty and filling. A solid burger, cooked well with good sauce and crispy deep fried onions on top. Also, a decent selection of beers on tap to go with lunch. Not bad overall and worth giving it a try for yourself!

We went here for lunch after the pumpkin patch. Parking is pretty difficult here. It's very limited so that's one of the negatives. It's outdoor seating which is nice on a nice day, but they do provide some blankets in the garden. Food was OK. It's nice to be being kids here because they can play in the grass area. The wait for food and ordering was a little long. You order food first, find a table and pick up your order when it's done.

What a great Mother's Day treat riding along the coast back from a trip to the Bay Area and stumbling upon The Barn. After my husband found this spot on Yelp, I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't just a rest stop restaurant..but so much more. The Barn is such a cool destination restaurant. Great service and people who are super passionate about what they do and what they're cookin' up, a beautiful backyard vibe with outdoor games, fun music, and just the place you want to be. Lotsa families, doggies, and groups were out, although we were able to snag a picnic table by the grass area for the kiddo to play. Menu-wise, such an awesome variety of comfort food done right. Big burgers, fried chicken sandwiches, juicy pulled pork, fresh salads, fried mac n cheese squares, homemade pies, shakes..the list goes on! I feel like we were so hungry, our group really went for it (love the full paper towel roll at the table, much needed!) Also to mention beer/wine. I haven't had a piece of homemade pie (and homemade whip cream) in so long, so thank you The Barn for giving mama exactly what she wanted..and a little something for everyone! Fair pricing, parking available (but when crowded, ya may need to find parking in the neighborhood), and def worth the visit. Farm to table done so, so right!

The barn is a great place to eat out on the coast. Their BLT is the best around and their fries are maybe the best in the Bay Area! They also have great burgers and fried chicken sandwiches and other stuff. Highly recommend.

We came to a pumpkin patch in the area and choose this place for lunch. Parking is small so you may have to park on the street. You go inside and order you get a buzzer. There's only outside seating. They have picnic tables on the side or across the parking lot there's plenty of seating. They have corn hole and tik tac toe. They had a fire pit as well. There's free water ! My kids got horchata milk shakes. The place is a little pricey but it makes up in the food. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The milkshake was amazing. This is a must try.

Cute location with nice outdoor seating only, on a good day like ours it was perfect. Tried the fried chicken sandwich which we both give a 2/5. Lack's serious flavor. The strongest character is the arugula. When tasting just the chicken it's flavorless. The Mac Attack also has zero flavor. Without their buttermilk it's like eating cardboard. Maybe the seasoning truck didn't drop off supplies this week but if you're looking for flavorful this isn't your spot.

Burgers and Beers near the sea, came here for lunch around 12:05 and there was a long line, by the time we left around 1:30 the line was much shorter. It's in an old barn with a small amount of seating near the ordering and pickup area and a back space near the parking lot that is much bigger. If you do eat near the entrance the line of hungry people will be watching you eat. There is one bathroom and it's also located right where everyone stands in line. Barn Burger: 1/4-pound Pomponio Ranch grass-fed beef, served with cheese, lettuce, homemade Barn pickles, tomatoes, caramelized onions on Wild Bill's rustic burger bun with ketchup, mayo and mustard. The beef was so good and I would repeat this. Also not that big which is appreciated. What the Cluck: 1/4-pound organic chicken breast marinated in lemon oregano buttermilk goodness, prepared crispy-crusted or grilled, served on Acme ciabatta with goat cheese, arugula, tomatoes and barn-made buttermilk dressing. Another repeat, the greens gave it a nice fresh and light taste and was not heavy. Fries: Hand cut Kennebec potato fries, the perfect french fry, totally finished split with 3 people, 2 adults and one teenager.

Came here on a weekend with some friends. Be prepared to wait a while! Waited in line about 20 minutes to order and then another 20 minutes for our food to be ready. They do have a lot of seating, all outdoors. There are a lot of bees and wasps so if you're afraid of those I recommend getting your food to go. There is a parking lot, was full when we came so we parked back in the neighborhood. There is only one restroom which had a line the whole time we were there. Food was good. We got the what the cluck, pulled pork sandwich and barn burger. They have beer available but we stuck to the lemonade. We also got a slice of pie - olallieberry. Pie was great! Definitely get the whipped cream on the side. I worry a bit about food safety here, one of the people working was very clearly sick (coughing, wiping nose) and was not wearing a mask or washing hands after they touched their face as they were handling food :(

We stumbled upon The Barn while looking for a place to grab lunch in Half Moon Bay. The exterior was adorable - basically just a big rustic barn with "Barnalicious" written across the front, and two separate outdoor seating areas. It was pretty busy on a Saturday afternoon, but the line to order moved quickly. I got the What the Cluck sandwich and a Barnold Palmer, and my friend chose the Salad Special and a cup of Tomato Bisque Soup. We also got the Mac Attack appetizer to share. We were handed our drinks and a buzzer, and we snagged a picnic table in the meantime. We wanted to sit in the garden area, but unfortunately it was full. The seating area closer to the barn was also nice though, and had both sunny and shady options. Our Barnold Palmers were tasty and refreshing, and our food didn't take too long to be ready. The Mac Attack appetizer was easily our favorite item - best fried mac & cheese bites of my life! We loved the salty exterior and soft texture inside. The What the Cluck sandwich was also great. I chose to get it with grilled chicken, which was thankfully well-seasoned and not dry, but I'm sure it's even better with fried chicken. My friend's salad was good too, but she wasn't as crazy about the Tomato Bisque Soup. The cup was a very small portion size, and it had a surprising kick to it (which I didn't mind). Overall, The Barn was perfect for lunch - great food, awesome vibes!

The Barn is a barn This was a quaint farm to table restaurant. Outdoor seating only, however, they do have heaters and I believe they have blankets for the customers. Their menu is very simple and the food is delicious. Everyone was helpful and polite. We ordered "What the Cluck" & "Old School BBQ Porkwich" with a side of "Mac Attack". Everything was delicious! We will definitely be stopping in the next time we're in Half Moon Bay.

Besides the piece of hair found halfway in my fries, the food was amazing. The burger had the perfect flavors and crunch with pickles, also added bacon. Pulled pork with sweet was savory. I asked for extra bbq sauce to dip it in. Mac attacks were good, but wished they had more cheese. Ordered shakes last to take in car since it was cold out. Perfect spot for some good food after spending day at beach.

Stopped by The Barn when my sister and I were in Half Moon Bay and I cannot recommend this place enough. The food was soooo good. I had the pulled pork sandwich and my sister had the chicken sandwich. We both enjoyed our food. I loved the setup of the restaurant. Plenty of seating and a cute outdoor area. Although the parking is limited, service is quick so the parking lot clears out fairly quickly. Can't wait to go back again.

Curious about what the new/old place is like, our three-person family went there for a late breakfast today. Walking up to the front doors, the original inset stained glass remains. Walking in, the cool wood paneling and nautical decor remains in place with a couple of new touches. The fully appointed bar also remains, now with a more streamlined look with subtle lighting changes. We were greeted pleasantly and seated inside the dining room immediately; it was moderately busy and buzzing, not too loud. Our server was quick to our table, menu-knowledgeable and consistent in his attention to us. We had a Denver omelette, a couple of bennies and lemon ricotta pancakes to share. My omelette had particularly fresh and al fresca peppers and onions - wonderful. The lemon ricotta pancakes were sufficiently saturated and fluffy(hard to pull off)and came with fresh cream. The prices were at about the same level as the local competition, which pleasantly surprised us. It appears that the folks who did this breakfast/lunch reboot were shrewd in pricing their dishes. Jetty Wave, a drinks and appetizers adventure(which I heartily recommend as well for different reasons)in the northwestern part of Princeton, is not for the fiscally faint hearted. The only element that makes our experience short of a 5 is that we were not given a farewell when we left, though I was able to find our friendly server and thanked him. In all, the Joanne's legacy is intact - the old carved wood Ketch Joanne sign still hangs inside - literally and figuratively a homage to its legacy while bringing a new energy to this space. The New England-style clam chowder was rich, creamy, with just the right subtle smokiness and balanced seasoning--definitely lives up to Half Moon Bay's chowder reputation. For mains, the Dungeness crab sandwich was the star: generous lumps of sweet local crab, minimal sauce (just how I like it), on toasted sourdough with fries on the side. My partner went with the fish and chips, and the cod was crispy, flaky, and not greasy at all--classic done right. Then they forgot to bring me my order of garlic fries and when I mentioned it nicely to the worker.. he treated me like I was lying. I didn't appreciate that. I won't say I would never return but definitely not my go to place.
