I'm not a large person, but even I had to turn and twist to maneuver around the tables while dodging other customers and staff. The view is gorgeous though, I didn't get to enjoy it since my back was towards the windows. Oh yes, you'll have to row-sham-bo with folks in party to see who gets the chairs with the view. Onto to talking about the food... Hubs got the fish n chips. This is one of the items we order at the walk up stand. Classic battered cod fried to a golden crisp. Beautiful golden color crust, satisfying audible crunch, Yum. The fries are thick cut. Very standard. I went rogue trying something totally new from here. I ordered the prawn pasta. With that entree, I received a sliced bread loaf to the table with butter. It was served a bit warm. Tasted great. Nice. Bring on the carbs! The pasta has two sauce options of Italiano style sauce or marinara. II asked the server what was the difference, he said Italiano style sauce was thicker without additional info. So Italiano style it is. The linguine was covered in a copious amount of the sauce. The sauce itself had profound sweetness. My tastebuds debated on liking it. The sauce to pasta ratio was overboard. But the amount of prawns was a nice serving size. The prawns were mixed into the sauce. They weren't easily visible. It was an Easter egg hunt to find them. If I had a choice between the walk up stand or sit down restaurant, I'll go to the walk up shack. Each place has a different menu. My palette and preferences are geared towards the walkup shack. Clam chowder was yummy. The fish & chips were fresh. Downside, no complimentary bread, and coleslaw didnt come with my fish and chips automatically. They have options of fresh baked bread, five different types to choose from. Housemade salami you can try one or all 12. Cheeses you can try 1 or all 8. Even the Italian wine list was amazing. Glass small pour large pour, or whole bottle. I highly recommend the Amarone Della Valpicella region. The Italian Napa. Full body, fruit forward low acid. My dessert I ordered is the lava cake. Gluten free. I have no issue with gluten but wanted to include that for anyone else who may need that. Can't wait to try it white, milk ands dark chocolate with a scoop of vanilla gelato. Soft music enhanced the mood. My order was BBQ Ribs ($19.00), nominally an appetizer, and a side of coconut rice ($6.00). The ribs were a very generous portion, tender, and glazed with a truly excellent BBQ sauce. Honestly, the glaze was better than I've had in restaurants specializing in ribs. The coconut rice was as good as I could imagine, perfectly steamed, and a generous portion to boot. The combination was mouth watering as well as satisfying. Peruvian beer, specifically Cuzquena Lager was the perfect libation. Karen C. was the server, and she displayed absolutely no characteristics of a Miami Vice villain. She was prompt, accurate and friendly. She did not need an attitude adjustment. The restaurant is a few miles north of HMB, and well worth the drive with a very adequate parking lot servicing the shopping center.

Moreover, the manager came back and handed me my receipt and credit card - still he did not say anything, but just placed it down on the table. I have never met a manager in my life who was taciturn, withdrawn and disconnected. It would be in his best interest to connect, communicate, stay consistent and problem solve when a customer has an issue. I limit my time in restaurants that does not provide a positive experience. I will not be returning to this business, simply for the reasons stated above, all need improvements. My dog did not even eat the steak and she loves steaks!

Yelp said they open at 11am so I had no reason to think that would be an issue. The young woman at the register, whose name I did not get, seemed to be somewhat in charge as she was asking other employees to do certain things. I ordered when she was ready and went out to the patio table areas where the kids play area is. My wife asked me to ask them if there was a pooper scooper because there were a couple piles of dog poop on the play area grass. I went back to the register and just let them know there was dog poop out by the tables on the grass. She said she knew and would have someone clean it up soon. I said thanks. As I walked out of the restaurant and past the outdoor pick up window I hear her say to the other workers "you know what I hate is when people get here before we open and start asking me to clean stuff up." First, I wasn't early. You were open. Second, it's a health issue and I felt I was very nice in how I kindly let you know there was an issue that you would probably want to address. So I return to the tables and start to realize how unkept and dirt the whole place really is. Please see the attached photos. Where I probably wouldn't have left a review or photos before, the rude and incorrect comment about me letting them know there was dog poop where kids play before they eat made me decide this deserved a review. Please see the attached photos. The cashier/manager? at the very least deserves significant retraining. Maybe a list needs to be made of specific tasks a staff member is responsible for every day before opening and that staff member would initial that they completed the tasks. You know... 1) check for and clean up all dog poop on site. 2) wipe down all tables and benches. 3) clean up all trash, including all little bits of food, napkins, pens, etc off the ground. 4) check all napkin dispensers that they are full and tops are on and they are in the same place on all tables. The poop photo is the last one listed. I couldn't seem to get it first in the list. I didn't take photos of everything (more poop and trash) because I hadn't yet decided I would write a review. But here it is.
