The link to the website shows a menu for $9.50 grilled tofu scramble and in person it was $16.50. The said it's the old owners menu and they made an excuse saying "I don't know why it linking you to that website." I asked is this you and they said yes. So I asked if they still had the grilled tofu scramble and they said yes but brought out a grilled tofu with fajitas. Such a confusing restaurant. The bell peppers weren't even cut right. All the slices were still connected like they used to a dull knife. The food was way over priced, small portion home fries, the flavor in the grilled veggies was so boring it just tasted like salt and oil. We ate it all because we were so hungry and paid already. You pay at the counter1st then they bring out your food. You also have to tip before you get it. They never checked on us. I wouldn't recommend this place for any vegans and I would never go back. We stayed at an inn next door and decided to stop in The Press for breakfast. I got a house coffee and my husband got a latte. Another almost self serve place. You order and pay up front. Of course its then that you have the "opportunity" to pay for a tip. We never do this since you don't know how much or the quality of service that may follow. Tipping is not automatic. Tried the bagel sandwich and was very impressed with the consistency of the bagel - crisp on the outside with a good rise and tender and fresh crumb inside. Grabbed it to go and went to Montara to enjoy the view, the warm day (for "winter.") The breakfast burrito was outstanding and the home fries were perfectly salted and so crispy. Many coffees, though oddly, the one thing they didn't have was medium roast. Service friendly fast efficient. A beautiful outside patio and self serve coffees. Standing in line I believe I saw a plate with biscuits and gravy. Looked good. So I ordered that. I added two eggs over medium. It came in a bowl and had the eggs on top. No big deal, I moved the eggs to the plate. But the biscuits and gravy were all mixed together into a sort of stew. I couldn't eat it as it was so soggy. They have pretty good coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice which I get with their Mexican eggs which also comes with wonderful fried potatoes, which you probably don't need but eat anyway. I placed a custom order of 60 assorted pastries for our school's staff appreciation week. The Press was very easy to communicate with and happy to accommodate our order. They let me select exactly how many of each pastry we wanted. We got 10 ham & cheese croissants, 10 almond croissants, 10 blueberry muffins,10 lemon almond poppyseed muffins, 5 apple strudels and 5 scones. After my whole month of travel in Asia, this is the perfect place we came out for comfort food over a normal coffee and breakfast as our little family outing. The spring brings out all the beautiful flowers around the patio, makes it such a cute place to hang out. On a sunny weekend, so close to the Miramar beach and the pier, you can't ask for a better and chill morning. The Greek omelette has become my go-to. It never disappoint every time. Super cute place. Seems to have plenty of street parking. Grab a cup of coffee and cross the street for a super nice stroll or do what we did and eat there then stroll. I went today for Sunday brunch after a beautiful walk by the coast with my boyfriend. I had the breakfast burrito and home fries and my boyfriend had the bacon and blue burger. Great thing about this place is stubbed in to because it opened at 5:00 am.
