This is based on a take out order. My husband stopped in to grab me some late lunch to bring to our office. The server suggested the special. $8 loaded grilled chz with tomato, bacon, spinach, and cheddar with a side of tomato soup. Soup is my thing, and this as well as the sandwich was so good I felt I should ring them and give my thanks. The server answered and politely accepted my thanks. She stated she would share my compliment to the chef to encourage some soups be served on a daily basis. The menu looks great with good prices and variations. What I tried could not be improved upon. Good Times is definately one of more unique bars in Eugene. The location (7th and High, right at the onramp to the Ferry Street Bridge) is the one thing that detracts from what is otherwise a refreshing change from the other bars in the downtown area. Perhaps its odd location is what attracts the different breed of bargoer, who knows. They have a great selection of mircrobrews, a large outdoor patio for the nicotine-needy, and plenty of serviceable pool tables. A great place to go out for several rounds with "the crew". The jukebox has a wide selection of cool tunes that covers most of the stuff I like to hear when I am out drinking. If I could put 0 stars I would. 3 PM Wednesday had been a big fan of traxler bars in the past. This is the 3rd time we have received the rudest service in my life. The bartender, candy, Is anything but sweet. The 3 times she's been rude, condescending, and gives passive aggressive a whole new meaning. Each time my fiance and I have came to goodtimes, for just that, we have left after one drink and now won't be coming back. Usually I love Good Times. Decided to order take out tonight and ordered and Aloha bowl and teriyaki skewers. Total came to $20, even though according to the online menu it should have been $15. Setting that aside, got the food home and it was about two bites and looked like it had been thrown around. Waste of money to order takeout. Went in last week and set at the bar and ordered a Pepsi and asked for a menu from the manager I'm told his name is Ryan. He pours it 3/4 full with rest foam and sets it down so far from me I had to get off bar stool to reach it. Then when I asked him a question ( if they took wings off the menu he held u his keys and shook them and told me I'd show you where they are on the menu but I have more important things to do and walked off to video lottery machines. When he returned he was facing sideways to me and then spun towards me and said hey if you're not going to pay attention to me I'm not going to help you. When I told this jerk I didn't like his effing attitude he threw me out of bar. Little does he know that I have many friends in this town and he will be receiving tons of free advertising telling everyone I know NOT to give this bar any business in the future. This person should be fired and find a career where being an ass will pay off for him. read more

yeah, you can find some pretty good times here. i remember stumbling in here one night at random and finding myself listening to big brother and the holding company, live, and completely unexpected. toots and the maytals played here when they came through town, as well as dave matthews, back before he hit it big time. it was an intimate space, and usually eclectic crowd. Awesome outside seating area with tons of tvs to watch the games on. The service was a bit slow seeing as my big group went on game day, but they were friendly when we went in to find them to ask for things. I thought the drinks were fairly priced but the food was a bit overpriced for the quality. Overall not a bad game day stop. read more

If you need to get hammered on a budget this is the place to go. I ordered a Tanqueray and Sprite. The bartender put it in a full sized glass (not typical) and filled it probably 7/8 of the way full of gin then added a nano seconds worth of Sprite. This drink was 4.00. FOUR DOLLARS!!!!! For as busy as it was there wasn't a long wait at the bar which was nice. My friend got a chicken sandwich with about an entire pineapple on it and she said it was pretty good. Their outdoor area is huge with several heaters and lots of tables. Only bad thing is there is a single bathroom. I went in there and someone had just peed all over the place BUT there was no line so I guess you gotta take the bad with the good. Bonus: the patio has a perfect view of the parking lot and if you're really lucky you will get to see a drunk girl named Stephanie eat shit while her friends stand there and literally do nothing. That in itself makes up for whatever shortcomings this bar may have. read more

I've gone to Good Times on and off through the years. The drinks are cheap and the TV's are nice but the whole place feels filthy and shady! But there is one incident that will keep me from ever going back... some friends and I went there to sign up for a drawing to win Duck tickets, they said you had to be there to win and that the drawing was at 9. We got there at 8, entered the drawing, nine o'clock came and went and no announcement. We asked multiple bartenders, a couple said they didn't know anything about it and one said the drawing already happened. We were there until 9:30 and got no real answers from any bartenders or the bouncers. When we asked for the manager, or manager's email the employees claimed there was no manger there at the time and no one knew an email for them. SHADY! read more

Good place to go to after work/classes to get a beer and some eats. Great selection of mircrobrews and the mixed drinks are always strong. I love hanging out on the patio during the summer months. It can get really busy on the weekends but the place is pretty big so it's not really a big problem. read more

Yuck...This place could use a little help. They need to sell more local beers. Since moving to Eugene I've grown to love all the local beers which are such a treasure to the area. Great you have Ninkasi but need to add more Oakshire and Hop Valley to your list. Good beer makes Good Times. read more
