    Bloody Mary's

Reading the reviews we were expecting a real hole in the wall. This place is great! Walk in and there are TVs everywhere. Each booth even has its own tv. We had the breakfast menu for the 10am game. Tons of options. We got a half order of biscuit and gravy (it was good but a little more herby than I care for a breakfast gravy). Next was the pancakes, eggs and bacon & French toast, eggs and bacon. The eggs were a little too wet for our liking but not bad. Bacon was perfectly crispy. French toast and pancakes were good - they had a cinnamon esque taste. Bloody Mary's were amazing! Pickled asparagus & beans in it. Yes! Also they had a sour beer from Backside Brewing that was awesome. The service was great - very attentive and always checking in. Honestly not sure why the reviews are so low - we had a great time here and it exceeded our expectations.

Our server was absolute amazing. Happy hour food was great and the best part were all of the golf simulators!

This is a great place for not only a nice cold drink but also they have great a breakfast and lunch menu. They have tons of tvs with tvs in all of the booths. If you're a cocktail person every Friday they have a new fresh cocktail every week. Happy Hour Monday- Friday 4-7 Saturday- Sunday 4-6 Ask for details

Taco Tuesday's special. 3 tacos at $2.50 each. These were chicken, and very good. Loved the salsa too!

Totally enjoyed our lunch there today. The service was excellent. Our waitress stopped by our table numerous times to see how things were. My husband got the poutine ( French fry's topped cheese curds and gravy), which was excellent, he said. (Sorry didn't get a picture). I chose the 3 chicken tacos, and they were delicious. They are good size for $2.50 and could only eat 2 of them. The other one came home with me though. The place was clean and tidy. Not loud at all, but it wasn't packed either. We timed it right because quite a few people were coming in as we were leaving.

My husband and I love Sunday breakfast/brunch but hate how long wait times can be because ~shocker~ everyone else also loves Sunday breakfast/brunch. I think we've finally found a spot where we can avoid all that! We always assumed Side Bar was just a sports bar (which it is) but it also offers food (thank you Yelp!). There were plenty of other people when we arrived, but we were able to find a table immediately. They have a good amount of options on the menu along with fun breakfast cocktails. We ultimately decided to split the Eggs Benedict (it had a unique cilantro-lime hollandaise sauce that was delicious) and the Stuffed French Toast (they use rosemary focaccia bread which is also a fun twist! This would have been way too sweet and rich though if we hadn't split it). Overall, delicious and we'll be back!

This place is my little hidden gem for brunch on the weekends! When you need good food without the long wait or crowding of your usual brunch spot come here. I've always had good service and I love that's it's more empty in the mornings/early afternoons since it's mainly marketed as a bar. They have something for everyone on the menu. We got the Monte Cristo, Stuffed French Toast and Prime Rib Eggs Benedict. The Monte Cristo is a turkey, ham, cheddar and swiss sandwich dunked in egg batter, fried & then sprinkled with powdered sugar. Berry sauce comes on the side making it the perfect combo of super savory and sweet! The Stuffed French Toast comes with a cream cheese berry sauce in the middle and fresh berries on top. The Prime Rib Eggs Benedict was the special and came with a house made hollandaise sauce. Everything was super tasty and quick to come out. I also ordered a side of their bacon because I like my bacon super crispy, but not burnt and they always do it perfect. Definitely check them out!

I wanted to give 5 stars. I feel like right now it's hard to judge a business with staffing and supply chain issues. It seemed like they were out of ham and had to substitute lunch meat in my egged Benedict. The food came lukewarm but really, it all tasted good! The Bloody Mary was awesome! I'll give it a few more tries!

French Dip! Even had gooey cheese!!!

Love this place! So clean and has a great beer selection, which is served super cold and makes me so happy. Best part is, the food is actually really damn good. BUT, you have to come when Adan is cooking! He treats his food like it's something he would serve to people he cares about. The presentation is beautiful, the meat is perfect and not at all dry, the flavors are bomb and you can tell he knows what he's doing. I had the best French Dip with my mom and today and even got blue cheese on the side that had extra cheese to top it off. The little details do matter. Our waiter was also very helpful and nice. The food steals the show though. Totally unexpected from a sports bar kind of place. Now it's a place you can go and enjoy a meal, even with your family!

The breakfast yogurt bowl here is so good! Greek yogurt, granola, honey, almonds and fresh fruit. One of the best yogurt bowls around!

The staff has always been (and still very much is) top notch in everything they do...but the food quality has dropped significantly to the point we can no longer justify the expensive. We've learned the changes began shortly after a new owner came in. Some of the changes we've noticed: The fish in the fish 'n chips is now buried in deep fried batter to the point I had to peel away most of the breading just to get to what little fish was there. The steak and eggs ($30) offers barely 4 ounces of steak, small heap of potatoes and two eggs...not enough to justify the price. They downgraded their organic, thick-cut pepper bacon to some odd, paper thin variety that is not very appealing and it would seem they no longer make their biscuits gravy in house! It now looks and tastes bland and pasty...industrialized. They used to have magnificent herbed gravy made from scratch so this is particularly disappointing. They no longer have real maple syrup. The prices remain that of an organic, farm-to-table but the food no longer qualifies and is very overpriced for what it is. I will really miss my Sunday mornings there but I just can't stomach these shortcomings. Very sad to see our favorite restaurant reduced to this state. If I could, I would give the staff 5+ stars and the food 1.

I went here on the 4th of July which is hella less annoying than 4th of July in the Mission in SF aka my hood. So my beloved Lotus Garden aka vegan Chinese food that is fab that I would frequent in the day when in lived in Eugene was closed on the 4th despite their website saying they were open and walked there to find out they only are currently doing take out. Damn like Kendrick Lamar So I walk back to Big City Gaming and the friendly bartender tells me that they have an all vegetarian menu even though it isn't pure veg aka they have non veg too. It's all good baby, baby. I am starving after walking heaps in the hard sun like Eddie Vedder. So I get some water and check out the all veg menu. Upon the bartender's suggestion I go with the jackfruit tacos. They were quite alright aka two corn tortillas filled with generous portions of fajita style grilled jackfruit, topped with cabbage, pico de gallo and our signature avocado crema sauce sprinkled with queso fresco. I decided to add vegan crema and non-dairy cheese for a buck. It hit the spot. I did feel like a fish out of water with all the screens showing baseball as basketball is my jam. I am a huge Warriors fan and sad we lost Donte yet he is going to the Knicks. With that meal you will experience actual satisfaction and contentment. That's the first thing I have to say in case you're reading for a recommendation of what to order. Even better if you have it late night after experiencing the best Handel's Messiah concert at the Hult in December. I had a small slider of corned beef along with his amazing fresh Kale salad garnish with shaved Parmesan, walnuts, added protein -- sausage. It came with a toasted slice of soda bread that was great. But the slider was how I realized the corned beef was PERFECTLY prepared. A taste was not enough; I decided to get the dinner plate version to take the next day up to Seattle with me. Fantastic staff included Barkeep Illyia, whose birthday it was. She kept up a steady stream of attentive care, skillful service, friendly banter with each of the clients that came in and said good by to them as they left. Hospitality was her middle name. Love that they have mugs for the regulars hanging from the ceilings, the bar space is great but so are the arm chairs and cushioned seats in the corners of the pub. I even ran into two other concertgoers who had also been so energized after the Messiah concert that they didn't want to go home. We spent a half hour at the bar unpacking the highs and best points of the performance by the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony choir, and each of the soloists. We also unanimously agreed the tenor was fantastic, the baritone a paragon of artistic talent, the soprano sang incandescently, and that the final AMEN movement was soul healing and mind blowing simultaneously. Yeah. It was that good. This place was the right place to come to unpack it all over a Guinness and the best corned beef and cabbage in town.
