I brought my friend here last week for her 21st birthday and we were very warmly welcomed by the team at Gryffs. It wasn't her fault but her birthday was on a Wednesday and several of our stops before Gryffs were lackluster. Many many thanks to Emily our server- she truly made the experience. She brought our birthday girl a sparkly birthday shot right away and made sure our glasses never went empty and even kindly reminded us to drink our water. Fantastic service by both the bartenders tonight (3/1). The beer was chilly and the tater tots were perfect. The woman helping us was friendly, accommodating, and efficient. Worst breakfast in town. Wish it wasn't so but our last few times in have just been terrible. Got the chipotle eggs Benedict, eggs were way over cooked, basically hard boiled. Another visit here! We ordered a burger, beef nachos for entrees, and cheese curds for appetizer. I have to say, and I understand the rise in prices all over the country. However, cheese curds are tasty, the problem is you get a small handful for just under $10! That is absurd. That price you deserve a large basket. I know the whole frozen bag of curds doesn't even cost $10. Other than that the burger was large and filling, the nachos for I believe it was $14 or $15 was a lot and easily could share. They were good. Beef was not the best quality. I liked that they serve the guacamole, sour cream, and salsa on the side so your chips don't get soggy and you can choose what you want to dip into. Service is good here, but kinda odd they don't always communicate. We had one guy seat us and grab us waters, then another lady came up and asked what we wanted to drink- we ordered drinks & an appetizer. Then the first guy came back and asked our drink order. We explained we already ordered that part and still needed time with the menu. Then ANOTHER lady came and asked what we wanted to eat. We had been seated maybe 3 minutes. I was so overwhelmed with how many times we were approached I hadn't even looked at the whole menu. I said we need more time please. Then our appetizer and drinks came and the next person asked our order I was like ok I'm just ordering this time. After we had ordered about 4 mins later one of the first 3 people came back and asked our order. We explained we just ordered a couple minutes ago. You can't say you get ignored here- we definitely had service, but I have no idea who our server was and it was just a bit overwhelming and awkward. I felt too rushed! read more

Wow! What a great Yelp find! We were immediately greeted by a very friendly staff and were promptly seated at a sizable booth. Our waitress was very attentive and was very much on her game, as were the people assisting her. The wife and I both had the Cobb Salad and presentation was great as was the taste of all the ingredients in it. My wife couldn't finish hers so got a box to go. While there, we had the Yule Nog and would go back for that as well. Establishment was spotless and well decorated. Looks like we found a new place to go and recommend, as well! read more

I wish there were half star ratings as I believe this is a solid 3.5 stars. I live nearby so having a neighborhood pub like this is incredibly convenient. I've been here several times and have always had GREAT service!!! The servers and bartenders here are awesome! The food and drinks are totally fine. They have a very good selection of beer and a very decent sized food menu. I wouldn't say the food would blow you away but it's honestly very solid and it's pub food! If you're looking for something overly fancy look elsewhere. They provide outdoor seating (that is covered) so that's a nice alternative especially for those warmer, enjoyable days/evenings. They have your typical selection of burgers, sandwiches, and fried food. They do have a very good breakfast so be sure to check that out as well, although their breakfast menu isn't overly huge. One thing I love about Gryff's is their specialty drink menu (an entire separate menu from their food menu!) I love that and have tried numerous drinks. If that's your fancy, you'll be very happy here! This is a very solid place and I'm so glad something is finally in this location. I've only gotten to come in really quick to get some fries with my kids but I really appreciate the size of the place. Space is important to me during a meal and my kids and I can be a bit spirited. The wait wasn't bad at all and the fries were good. I once saw they had started a breakfast club but I never got to go due to work. I hope it returns if it hasn't already. It's a good location and convenient. There's also a lot of parking. It's in a quiet shopping center with a corner market, boxing gym, jui jitsu studio, and a few other places. I hope to get to go again. read more

I still feel that 2-1/2 or 3 stars is the most that I can go for. On a more recent visit, after walking into a nearly empty restaurant and waiting patiently, i had to walk over and interrupt an employee conversation to ask to be seated. Service was initally prompt after that but perfunctory. Burger was fine. It really says something when I would choose to go to a McMenamin's for their service over Gryff's. In my first two experiences, the location is its greatest asset. Could be great one day- here's hoping. read more

Go for the pizza! It is delicious. Crispy exterior, chewy interior, tons of toppings and sauces, and options for gluten-free crust and dairy-free cheese. As a former New Yorker, I didn't expect to actually genuinely love the pizza at our neighborhood pub, but it's now right up there with my favorite pizzas in Eugene. They also have good burgers/fries, delicious fresh salads, and of course a huge drink menu. Service has been great both times I visited, and the environment is comfortable and fun. read more

I love Gryff's food and drinks, and go twice a month. HOWEVER last time I went in, there was a woman working with long black/green hair and bangs. I've never seen her there before, & she was condescendingly rude from the start. By the time I had looked at the menu, I decided to leave, and went Cornucopia right down the street. I will continue going to Cornucopia instead, if I see her working. She gave a half ass greeting, with no response when I asked how her day was going. She acted like I was a nuance from the moment I walked in the door. I over heard her with the same general attitude while taking another customers order, and that's when I decided to leave. Her perspective of life/work was reflecting on her behavior towards customers. It was disappointing as I love Gryff's, but don't wanna feel like I'm bothering people when I'm hungry. Especially disappointing, after considering there was only two sets of customers in the whole restaurant to begin with...not sure why she was so bothered. read more

Daniel served last call while I was in the bathroom for 5 minutes or less tonight. I came out and saw all my friends had their last call drinks and said I hope I'm not too late jokingly... (because it was less than five minutes since I'd entered the bathroom) he said yes you are too late which definitely shocked me .... I was in the restroom with an open tab for less than 5 minutes.. the employees and staff chose to get no tip from me whatsoever rather than let me pay my own bill. Apparently, They processed my payment with no tip or acknowledgement from me that they'd do so before they closed. I had felt so much camaraderie with the bartenders considering the many visits over the last few weeks that I had had. I enjoyed my night. It absolutely shocked me and hurts my feelings to know they charged my card with no signature and no tip whatsoever while I took a 5 minute bathroom break in their bathroom and then they told me tough luck go home or watch while your friends drink in front of you. I chose to go home. That's when one of your kitchen staff came out to talk me down and keep me from Never coming back by telling me he didn't get special treatment either.. even though he got a beer poured for him while I was on the bathroom for 5 minutes. Horrible service. The waitress didn't bring napkins or utensils with the food, and was rude when asked for some. She was disgruntled and annoyed at any request I asked of her. All of the employees working at this time were heard talking down about customers and talking about how the tips they are getting are horrible. We love having this great eating place in our neighborhood! The service is great, selection of burgers is excellent with fun names and profiles. I especially like that I can design my own from an impressive array of toppings as well as choose a traditional bun or lettuce wrap. As the name states Gryff's is a pub with the essentials, beer, wine and cocktails as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Had to check out the new place that just opened in the neighborhood. Lots of unique burgers but I decided to try the Tweety, the crispy chicken sandwich, with lettuce tomato & onion. It was really good 9/10 Fries hot & fresh. Kids had sliders & grilled cheese & applesauce, they both cleared their plates. Extensive drink menu, had the Griyffendor, it was elderberry(?) vokda, ginger beer with lime. Very good. Interested in trying one of their hot beverages- one had lemon, honey & whiskey I think. Took our order for drinks, app, and 2 burgers, got our beers quick, but then more than 30 minutes went by, no one came by to tell us anything, no appetizer to be found, no food, nada. You never get a second chance to make a 1st impression. Went to Gryffs pub on Bailey hill road with my son it was moderately busy the guy who seated us was nice. But it all went down hill from there. After waiting at our table for around 10 minutes or so our server came by and asked if we were waiting on something to drink. We told her nobody had offered us anything yet. Her reply? "Well were busy so...." She then told us if we wanted food it would be an hour wait. But she couldnt promise only an hour. We told her never mind we would go elsewhere her reply? Only been once and I had a similar experience to that of the Springfield location. Staff was very friendly but also very busy! I took an outside table and food and drinks were wonderful! I've always enjoyed the menu the owner put together and I love that it's locally owned! They have a great selection of sugary fufu drinks as well as ipas, ciders, seltzers and liquors. Oh my gosh!! I moved out here from Chicago and thought I would never find good pizza here! Friends visit us and said Oregon pizza is like eating cardboard with ketchup!!Gryff's pizza was out of this world! It wasn't deep dish but very authentic. Real mozzarella cheese, great toppings, great crust with that corn meal dusting on the bottom!! Gryff's surely nailed it!! Must also try their burgers with a cold beer! The staff was very friendly.
