As you walk in the right side of the building has a traditional dining area with many tables, the left side has a very large bar and poker machine area, lots of additional seating with a pool table and an oversized TV wall with various sports playing. The location has many seating options, the menu has many bar favorites, I tried the buffalo wing basket, its served with fries, celery and carrots. I had the first half of boneless wings buffalo flavored, I then had the other 6 wings in a garlic and parmigiana flavored sauce, they were good sized, well cooked and with a lot of flavor, the fries had a soft batter. I would recommend this dish to anyone. I also noticed that they have a large breakfast menu with many options and another menu for Lunch and Dinner. As far as the bar food it was very good. The wait staff was very friendly and followed up a few times to make sure I had what I needed. I had a Bloody Mary to go with my food, I was happy to see my bill, was under 30 dollars. There is a lot of street parking and it looked like they have an outdoor area where you can smoke.

Bread not toasted, no horseradish or anything. Just bread pulled straight out of the package and cooked meat. My husband liked his burger. My mother in-law did not enjoy her fish tacos, and my father in-law didn't eat any of the soup he ordered. Our server was okay. She did the bare minimum and literally nothing more. She took our order, brought our food, brought the check, and nothing else. She didn't offer refills on drinks, didn't care that my father in-law didn't touch his food, didn't offer boxes. She was nice, but I've had far better service elsewhere. Would I return? Nope. This restaurant is way out of my way, and there was nothing memorable or crave-worthy to bring me back. The servers also bring out ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and ranch dressing to add your burger if you choose. I like all hamburgers so this burger goes in my top five list. Fantastic staff included Barkeep Illyia, whose birthday it was. She kept up a steady stream of attentive care, skillful service, friendly banter with each of the clients that came in and said good by to them as they left. Hospitality was her middle name. We spent a half hour at the bar unpacking the highs and best points of the performance by the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony choir, and each of the soloists. We also unanimously agreed the tenor was fantastic, the baritone a paragon of artistic talent, the soprano sang incandescently, and that the final AMEN movement was soul healing and mind blowing simultaneously. Yeah. It was that good. This place was the right place to come to unpack it all over a Guinness and the best corned beef and cabbage in town. But sometimes you walk into a place, feel the vibe, enjoy the situation, settle in with the locals, and tell yourself that life is good. I love a good local bar. As long as the locals are friendly, the service is decent, there are food options, and the place isn't disgustingly dirty, I am in. Alpine Tavern checked all of the boxes. Add in a horseshoe pit in the back and cheeseburgers on the menu, and Alpine Tavern is worth a stop in you ate in this neck of the woods.
