As you walk in the right side of the building has a traditional dining area with many tables, the left side has a very large bar and poker machine area, lots of additional seating with a pool table and an oversized TV wall with various sports playing. The location has many seating options, the menu has many bar favorites, I tried the buffalo wing basket, its served with fries, celery and carrots. I had the first half of boneless wings buffalo flavored, I then had the other 6 wings in a garlic and parmigiana flavored sauce, they were good sized, well cooked and with a lot of flavor, the fries had a soft batter. I would recommend this dish to anyone. I also noticed that they have a large breakfast menu with many options and another menu for Lunch and Dinner. As far as the bar food it was very good. The wait staff was very friendly and followed up a few times to make sure I had what I needed. I had a Bloody Mary to go with my food, I was happy to see my bill, was under 30 dollars. There is a lot of street parking and it looked like they have an outdoor area where you can smoke.

My mother in-law did not enjoy her fish tacos, and my father in-law didn't eat any of the soup he ordered. Our server was okay. She did the bare minimum and literally nothing more. She took our order, brought our food, brought the check, and nothing else. She didn't offer refills on drinks, didn't care that my father in-law didn't touch his food, didn't offer boxes. We had a ritual of stopping here for a feast at the start of every hunt. The place still looks great! Tables and floors are clean and the general chatter is jovial enough. It's a very rustic environment with wood panels and log walls with a couple of pool tables and some slots gaming available. This is not a hard liquor pub. This is a beer and food establishment with pool and gambling, adults only though, no minors. So we settle on a table and order up some food. The onion rings are very crispy and not at all greasy or oily. They are cooked to a perfect bite, meaning the whole onion doesn't slide out of the battered ring, just a nice clean bite of a crispy onion ring. The western burger is delivered open faced so you can put on your own amount of lettuce onion and tomato and pickles that come on the side. The bacon is a generous amount and very crispy and the cheese is nicely melted. The bun is lightly toasted and all in all this burger holds together very well. The house cut fresh fries are exactly that, freshly sliced potatoes cut into fries. They also bring out of the cooler several squeeze bottles of mayo, mustard, ketchup, ranch and barbecue sauces. These are brought out fresh from the cooler, not left out to get warm all day. This place still has the staff smiles and comfortable atmosphere that I use to know. As long as the locals are friendly, the service is decent, there are food options, and the place isn't disgustingly dirty, I am in. Alpine Tavern checked all of the boxes. Add in a horseshoe pit in the back and cheeseburgers on the menu, and Alpine Tavern is worth a stop in you ate in this neck of the woods.
