However, last Saturday I believe was the 5/23/26, they had an event and an artist guest came and performed for the guests. It was nice, but it was also very packed in there with people out the door. We snuck through the back just to get in, people standing and blocking traffic because there was no room and space. We had to wait in a small crammed isle area towards the bathroom. It took awhile for our simple togo order to get done--which was also mistakenly given to someone else. They couldn't figure out simple logistics. There were also others who got wrong orders while we stood there waiting. They had to re-make people's pizzas while the pizza had to be given away for free because it had already been touched. My gripe is that in the future, if you're having an event, (maybe they do this here all the time), please have a floor manager to alleviate the crowd and simple operations and logistics to handle the lines, the crowd control, and providing fast and accurate service. Not just making the food right, but with time, and a comfortable environment. They could have made it more. It was so busy, that they either looked to be short-staffed or got confused on a lot of their orders. In short, in the future their manager should do better in operations and executing the the transactions to flow more smoothly. If you're having a guest performer, find a way to also make that work better. Maybe make people not block the pathways, more chairs or seating outside, have a bigger venue or open some areas to fit better..maybe they like this intimate atmosphere but it did not work for half of the guests there just trying to get in and out. This review is not to burn the spot but to encourage them do better in the future. This is just to help them understand and hopefully this helps to provide constructive feedback..because I know the owner here reads a lot of these comments..

So many good vibes and family friendly- I've been to a bunch of vegan festivals and this one is near the top of my list. Definitely worth travelling for! The layout was simplified to keep food vendors in one area, product vendors in another, and ample space between them to avoid line confusion, including the walking path that surrounded the lake. The size of this festival allowed for the crowd to be more even throughout, and with ample food vendors I found the lines (and wait times) to exceed expectations. We were there almost the entire day and I doubt we waited more than five or ten minutes for anything. There was plenty of shade under trees for lounging picnic style and also some umbrella-covered pub tables if you chose to stand around the lake. Even though it was something like 93° out, the location on the shoreline of Long Beach allowed for an enjoyable breeze. The food vendors offered both the unique and the expected. Some highlights: *Abbott's Butcher- This California Burger was so delicious it almost made me forget that Doomies wasn't at this festival *Los Colorines- The giant Piña Colada pineapple drink was so refreshing *Word of Mouth- the expensive but delicious mac and cheese bites So why not that 5th star? For starters, LB Vegan Fest had A LOT more parking options than the other two events. I'm not gonna lie, parking can run a bit high on price but it was much easier to deal with. We ended up parking at The Pike then took a nice leisurely stroll to Rainbow Lagoon. Certain (food) areas were crowded and several lines were long but the condensed crowd was not as overly populated as Vegan Street Fair. The weather was great and since this event takes place close to the water, the cool breeze comes in. Not like the hot yucky valley areas for Vegan Street Fair and VegFest LA. When it comes to food vendors, I always try to look for the most unique ones, the ones that would be difficult to find anywhere else. I saw a lot of the same options (Southern Fried Vegan, Green Truck, AFC Soy Foods, etc.) and a lot of vendors with existing brick and mortars (Ahimsa and Vegan Pizza). They sell banana pudding (I forgot the brand name, something like Veganning? Like Vegan from the Beginning?). I had initially bought banana pudding from the truck next to it (Vegan AF) but it was disgusting so I ended up throwing it away. I saw that Drippin Wangz also had banana pudding so I walked over and asked if I could see it first (to make sure it was not disgusting). The lady in charge said that the banana pudding was on ice in front of me and it looked good (despite being blue). And you know what? It was delicious. So Drippin Wangz gets 4 stars from me. I threw the sandwich away right away. Shortly after eating that one bite, I started vomiting, my stomach hurt badly, and I had severe diarrhea. It was a terrible experience and very concerning from a food safety standpoint. Because of this experience, I will never order from this restaurant again.
