Had one of the best sandwiches of my life at their food truck at the Alameda Flea Market. Try it out!

They serve real lemonade so I made myself an Arnold Palmer and it was great. My only complaints are that I wish they had a blackened catfish option instead of only fried, and I wish they played the rap music they were listening to in the kitchen in the dining area instead of the boring elevator music...then it might feel a little more like New Orleans! A+, I will be back :)

Service was good, could have been better if the people ahead of me and my sisters got through ordering their food a bit quicker, but it was what it was. Also, where we sat (by the bathrooms), it stank since there seems to be a problem with the sewage system in Pleasant Hill. Anyhow, the food was solid too. I got the fried oysters and Cajun fries, my older sister got crawfish etouffee and my younger sister got blackened shrimp and grits and we also got crab Cajun fries to share. It took a while to get the crab Cajun fries, but the guy at the cash register was nice enough to bring them to our table after we waited for some time. Overall, I would come back again

Our…read morefriend wanted us to try their new location in Walnut Creek and made reservation for our party of 8 at noon on a recent Saturday. This location is on S. Main off Broadway Plaza. We parked in the Broadway Plaza parking lot, which is a short walk to the restaurant. The restaurant was packed and we were seated in the outside patio. I'm glad we were seated here as it was mellower than the louder and busier inside. After ordering our drinks, we checked out the menu and decided to share two starters: Calamari with house made tartar and cocktail sauce - it was good. Lightly battered and crispy. Zucchini Fries - a heaping portion of fries topped with parmigiano Reggiano and a house made lemon basil aioli for dipping. Never had these types of fries. Cut shoestring style and they were light and delicious. The served a complementary bread basket with butter. It consisted of sourdough slices, Focaccia squares and a bread crisp slice. House French bread - love warm bread and butter. So good that we asked for refills. I had the Joe's House made Ravioli - a generous portion of beef and spinach filled raviolis in a meat sauce topped with Parmesan Reggiano. I just wished the raviolis had a thicker filling. Other entrees ordered by our group were spaghetti and meatballs, House made beef lasagna and bone-in veal Milanese. Everyone was happy with their orders. When we left, the restaurant was still crowded and there was a waiting line. Service was friendly, accommodating and efficient. This is not your typical family style Italian restaurant, but it's more upscale and good for special occasions and get-togethers.

From the moment we walked in, the service was quick, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. And the food? Absolutely amazing! If y'all don't order the potato salad, fried ribs, deviled eggs, and fried fish, you are seriously missing out! Honestly, I tried almost every appetizer on the menu and every single one was delicious. For my entrée, I had the catfish with mac and cheese, and it was outstanding. We were expecting a whole vibe, the buffet with the crab legs, and brunch goodies. Instead, we walked into an empty restaurant with no patrons, nor crab brunch buffet! We were greeted by a nice server almost instantly and of course we had questions, because WTH?! He seated us, then informed us that the brunch buffet with DJ is a weekend thing (damnit). I guess neither of us caught that important fact on the advertising videos. My oxtails were cooked to perfection! They were fall of the bone, meaty, and flavored well. It came with rice, and a side. I am not sure when I will be able to venture that way for awhile, but if and when I do, I will make sure it is on a weekend so I can catch the R&B Brunch they keep adverting.

While this visit was in between the lunch and dinner rush, unfortunately I think they are understaffed because at the time we sat down there was only 1 person who was busing tables and taking orders. As a result, it took a while for them to be able to stop by our table and provide water, take our order, etc. There was quite a long wait between sitting down to ordering to actually receiving our food. By the time we had actually received our food, almost an hour had passed. While we were waiting, a few other servers eventually joined, but service was still pretty bare for us and we never received refills on water or plates to eat off of when we received our food. I understand that staffing and a backup in the kitchen are out of the staff's control, but it would've definitely helped for us to know in advance how long to expect to wait to align our expectations and arrange our plans for the day. Would advise giving customers a quick heads up/warning because that on its own would've made a big difference. As for the actual food, we ordered the mac trio with elote mac, chicken pot pie mac, and kogi short rib mac (for an extra fee). The elote mac was the best and most flavorful, the short rib mac was okay but not amazing or worth the extra money, and the chicken pot pie mac was very bland/flavorless and didn't have much chicken in it. The food didn't feel like it warranted the wait time and because of that I would not return.

But sitting back and observing, this team runs like a well-oiled machine -- clearing tables quickly and seating new guests with efficiency and purpose. Within minutes of sitting down, we had water on the table, followed by hot coffee. I appreciated that creamers (half & half and flavored), sugar, salt & pepper, ketchup, hot sauce, and syrup were already set at the table. No chasing anyone down for the basics -- they're already one step ahead. The menu carries that classic Bab's Delta Diner - Suisun Waterfront feel, but with the added bonus of Von's Korean Chicken offerings -- think crispy fried chicken, Yangnyum chicken, and even some Korean lunch specials you won't find at the Suisun location. And judging by what was flying out of the kitchen, the chicken and waffles were definitely a crowd favorite this morning. As tempting as that looked, I came for Rod's Special -- corned beef hash with fried rice and poached eggs. And let me tell you... Yes, that's exactly what I wanted. Definitely homemade corned beef, with actual chunks of brisket throughout. Comforting and satisfying. My husband ordered the ribeye steak and eggs. While it came out closer to medium instead of the requested medium rare, it was still well seasoned and delicious. Ancestors were definitely in the kitchen. Now back to the service -- because it deserves its own spotlight. There was never a moment our coffee cups weren't topped off. Dishes were cleared quickly, even down to the little things like empty creamer containers. What stood out most is that the team doesn't just stay in their lane -- they work collectively to make sure the entire dining room runs smoothly. Friendly, attentive, and aligned with that cheery, Snoopy-Charlie Brown vibe the place gives off. Great food, strong team, and a welcoming atmosphere -- definitely a breakfast spot I'd recommend.

Greeted immediately by friendly staff and proceeded the counter to put in the order. Ended up getting the spam loco moco. It was okay. The portion ended up being a little light for what the price was, so the value isn't quite there. My son ended up getting a Mickey pancake (loves pancakes and we just came back from Disney) which he loved. Place is nicely decorated with some nice wall paintings and ample seating. Overall, don't know if I'd go back. If you're looking for a nice brunch I'd probably make the trip to Napa, AC, or across the bridge to Pleasant Hill (The Royale).
