We got the small-size seafood paella which was served warm and quite delicious. We also got several empanadas (mushroom with mozzarella, spinach with mozzarella, and garlic shrimp with mozzarella). They were served at room temperature from the display case in the window, and they weren't labeled clearly so we had to bite into each one to figure out which was which. All three flavors were tasty nonetheless. My favorite dish was the order of prawn croquettes which came with salad on the side. These were served hot and freshly made, a nicely seasoned savory and creamy filling with large chunks of shrimp inside, and the breading fried to a perfect consistency. Yummy!

And that she wasn't just saying that because it was her brother's business! The taco came with a lime wedge, some radish slices, and chips. Served on two small corn tortillas with a generous helping of chicken topped with green salsa. Oh, and a VERY HOT (for me) grilled pepper. Looked like that pepper could have been a mild shishito pepper, but since I wasn't sure and I can't do spicy like I used too, I took a tiny bite. Not a shishido! So beware if you can't handle a bit of heat! Not expecting too much with my first bite of the taco, I was actually quite surprised! Tommy's is every bit as good as these places. I had the two meat plate with brisket (the ultimate bbq test) pork ribs with beans and coleslaw. Did the pull test on the brisket and it responded perfectly. They even thru in a few burnt ends Ribs pulled from the bone easily and the finish was perfect. Coleslaw was just the way I like it, a little sweet and crisp. Beans were really good, they can be all over the place but these had the perfect finish of sweet and savory. I don't live very close to Tommy's but this will be my go to anytime to eat or bring a meal home.
