I was not expecting us to be at the Joslyn for more than 2 hours, but we were and we were hungry! As I was trying to find a restaurant nearby, I saw that The Durham Cafe inside the museum had great reviews - so while in Rome!
I wish we had sat out in the garden, but the weather was just too hot for us, but being surrounded by the beautiful marble and high windows was just as lovely. You order at the counter and they give you a number and bring it out to you. Next to the register, you can grab you cup of water and utensils.
I was hungry, but didn't want anything heavy as we were about to be on the road for 6 hours. I opted for their Citrus Kale Salad ($13) with an addition of salmon ($8).
My husband ordered their special which was a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich, and a small order of fries for us to share. We also ordered a grilled cheese for our toddler.
I also wanted to get something to drink and would have gravitated to a coffee, but I saw their line up of Artemis Teas! I ended up with the white tea called FLORA (rhubarb, jasmine, apple creme, and white honey) It was absolutely delightful and I've been milling over ordering it online.
This was STELLAR. I highly recommend their citrus kale salad - it was not tough, and whatever variety kale they used was so nice. read more
