If you hadn't guessed it, the Duck Store is the University of Oregon bookstore. All kinds of fan merch is to be found here. The first floor is apparel and gifts, stuffed animals, that sort of thing. You'll find stuff for your game day experience down here, like your duck lips and stuff. The second floor is generally where the textbooks and school supplies are housed, so between terms it's pretty sparse up there. Kids stuff, clearance items, and women's apparel is upstairs as well. Parking is on the street only but it's really weird--I have never seen anything so strange for parking, I don't think. They've changed 13th here to diagonal parking, but it's diagonal that requires you to back into the spot. Why didn't they make them diagonal the other direction (or even better, straight spots so they could get another space or two)? It's paid parking so either download the app or look for the parking box. read more

I purchased a 7ft inflatable Duck mascot on August 30, 2024. I brought it home to Texas and ran it through October when it stopped working. I contacted the Duck store for warranty information in which the manufacturer had none. So through a serious of emails, Ryan and Alex were able to send me a new one. Unfortunately it arrived after the Ducks playoff Game, but I got it all the same. The product is iffy, but the customer serve was superb. I would shop at this place again and again when I visit every year. read more

I came in here recently because I needed shirts for my husband, as the washing machine ate one of his Duck shirts. So I wanted to surprise him with a few new ones. One thing I've noticed is this store has a better selection for men than the store at VRC. So it was perfect for my needs on this visit. Customer service is excellent. I had to ask for help because I couldn't reach a shirt, and the employee working was more than happy to help. She was very kind and helpful to me. I can always find some awesome new Duck gear whenever I stop in, and there is something for everyone, in every price range, and I appreciate that. The Tee Shirts are made of cheap material. Hold them up to the light and you can see through them. Low thread count or very thin thread. Just not a long lasting or durable shirt. The Oregon logo on the shirts were off kilter. The logo wasn't leveled properly. The left side of the logo was slightly lower than the right. If you want something done right. Love the duck store but was turned away because they said it was closed. It just turned 5pm & Hours on the web says it's closed at 6pm but we were turned away with another group following behind us. The gentleman working (older man) alleged that the duck store does this weird thing on game day weekend with the hours.. hmm a little sus but whatever. I thought this store was pretty fun to browse, even as a non-Duck. My mom is a huge Donald Duck fan -- and I also picked up other Duck gear like a hat -- so this ended up being a great stop for vacation gifts! I think the most notable thing that I liked about this store was the cheap t-shirt selection (again, this is from the viewpoint of someone who did *not* attend the University of Oregon and did not care about the textbooks-portion of the store). During my visit, I found this bright yellow Ducks shirt that was only $10. I then purchased two -- one for me (which I later proudly wore to a Yelp event) and one for my mom (which she cooed over in person). Fun, quick stop! Also, I suppose this is a good college store if you are in college, too. read more

This University Store is located within the 13th Avenue "Campus Town" area rather than the expected Student Union address (at least in my world). My Son and I stopped here after Lunch a few Saturdays ago and after our tour of the University of Oregon Campus. If you're into Duck Swag, you have 3 fully stocked floors to choose from, plus a technology alcove. Most of the books are upstairs, the branded goods are on the main floor, and the art/stationary can be found below. They have a great selection and friendly folks to match. I picked up a Oregon folder for him and a Duck Dad coin for what I hope is a bright college future for my Son. :) read more

The UO Bookstore is one of those places that is a necessity for the UO. Students will have to go here regardless for their textbooks, is a good morning stop for morning commuters, has a good collection of Duck gear, and is a good meeting spot for folks along 13th Avenue. Aside from the textbooks, there are a wide range of reading material available here. The prices can be steep, especially for most students but the selection here is of all varieties and worth checking out. Making money back by selling the textbook is probably not the most cost effective option and its likely that some folks might generate a greater profit by trying something like EBay. Speaking of prices, the neighboring store that is connected to the main floor is the Digital Duck where one can find some of the latest Mac equipment and customized PC machines. I could swear sometimes that the prices here are higher than the local Best Buy or Circuit City. All in all, its a good place to hang out and is generally one of the better spots on the University of Oregon campus to visit. The customer service here has been among the best in comparison to all of the University businesses and employees here earn some very decent student discounts / benefits. Other than that, parking is a pain for this store. read more

Anything and everything Oregon Ducks can be found here. Hats, pencils, uniforms, shirts, flags, everything! They have a coffee shop and sell snacks and drinks also. It pretty much sits at the social center of the University since so many pubs and bars are located around that area. You can also find at times a few student organizations outside talking up their events or what not. Oh yeah, also "Frog" tends to be right outside selling his "funniest joke books." Upstairs is their extensive bookstore. They have a variety of different contemporary books and this is mostly where new students get their coursebooks. In the basement is their art and paper area. It has an extensive array of artists supplies. Down here is where you get your notebooks, pens, pencils, and other organizational stuff. They have several other stores across Eugene and couple in Portland. Parking is along the metered part of 13th which really is a pain. There is a lot behind the opposite side of the street, but I forget if you have to have a pass or not. read more

I ordered an item online at the beginning of December showing it would be delivered in 5-7 days. I ended up getting an email telling me there was a delay and that the order was still processing. When I got a hold of the online support (very hard to get to a person) they told me that some orders are sourced out to be filled and that they hold the orders to see how many people order before they send it out. I got a hold of support again and was told it would arrive the day it said it was, December 20, 2023, and when I asked if he would stake his life on it--he said it would arrive on that date. Well, it is not here and now saying it has been sent to UPS to get it shipped out. If I wanted a refund I would have to wait until it arrives and then 5-7 days for the refund once I send it back. They were in a hurry to take out the $56 dollars out of my account like there was no tomorrow. I keep being told they understand how frustrated this is. Located right across the campus. Its so easy and convenient to get to. Right when you walk in you see O's and Ducks all over the place. From wall to wall and shelf to shelf you have an insane amount of duck things left and right. Tons and tons of merchandise for purchase. The staff is very helpful and constantly restocking or adjusting items for display. They are always willing to help and point you in the right direction for what you want. I spent over an hour in there just looking at everything wanting to buy the whole store! If you love supporting your favorite Duck's team, then this is the place you have to come to. read more

The textbooks here are a rip off. If you are a student here DONT ever buy your books from here. Go to amazon.com and buy them there and then resell them at the Duck store at t he end of the term. The student and staff workers are very friendly and helpful especially during the first week fo the term. I like how they separate the digital duck, clothing, and arts/school supplies. It makes looking for things way easier. Location is amazing: right at the edge of campus but the traffic is kind of scary. Students always walk without looking while cars try to avoid not hitting them. As the parent of a future Duck, and as a graduate of many a fine university myself, I was very impressed with this University book store. My kid and I recently attended her mandatory orientation on campus for a few days, so we visited this book store a few times. We both were enthralled with the place: how big it was, how much Duck merchandise they stocked, the wide range of prices for said Duck merchandise, all the bargains in the back, the books upstairs and the art supplies downstairs, and how friendly and helpful the kids working in the store were, too. My kid needed a laptop and, as luck would have it, one day during our visit an authorized Apple rep named Katy was outside the store, manning a desk, there to answer questions about Apple products. How fortuitous! And boy, she was so knowledgeable, too. She helped my kid decide which Mac to get (no hard sell at all) and said she gives Mac tutorials regularly at the store, and she was in the same field of study as my kid, too. Katy gave my kid her business card, telling her to give her a call if ever she has any questions about the laptop "or about anything at the school" (!). Wow, as a parent, I was blown away. And inside the store, we were helped in the tech/computer area by Ashley who also was super nice and helpful in selling my kid the Mac, in going over the protection options, and more. What a pleasant buying experience! And the price and perks were amazing: no sales tax, $100 off the listed price just for being a student and buying the computer there, a drawstring backpack, free Mac tutorials at the store, and any new pair of Beats headphones thrown in to boot. Wow. I got some stationary in the back and browsed all the fun (and some twisted!) greeting cards. There were lots of sale items at great prices (3 t-shirts for $10!); I have never seen such sale prices at any official university bookstore, ever. Sure, textbook prices are obscene, as they are at every university (this has always been a scam, in my opinion. Has been this way forever). But the other goods and merchandise prices are reasonable and the selection, huge, from adult to baby clothing, from car accessories to mugs. And did I mention the staff here are incredibly nice? This is THE Duck store. A must-stop for any UO fans on the way through Eugene. It's also, of course, the official UP bookstore, but I only go here for one thing - Duck Swag. And you know what? They have a pretty baller selection of swag in green, gold, black, silver, and any of the other myriad of colors that the UO has unofficially adopted. But you know, for all the mountainous piles of gear they have here, they don't have a great selection of sizes. Most of the stuff I found myself wanting was only available in smaller sizes (S or M) and excessively large sizes (XXL and beyond). Not much in the L/XL range. And my most recent visit was before school started - so before it got hit hard by incoming students. It could be that this just happened to be the case with the styles I wanted, but damn. I know a lot of folks are L and XL and we're willing to pay the trumped-up prices for things with our beloved O emblazoned upon them. Aside from the sizing issues, the staff here is friendly and helpful. There are lots of sundries available. And books? Well, this is where you go to get them. Quack. read more

Friendly, helpful students work here, and if it's not too busy, it can be interesting to ask them about what they're studying. They have a large selection though clothes are mostly t-shirts and hoodies. Prices are reasonable and you can stock up on supplies, books, Duck gear, and computer equipment. The thing that makes any trip to the bookstore entertaining, though, is seeing Frog. This homeless-looking man is ALWAYS just outside with his Grizzly Adams beard, rubber rain boots, and knitted frog hat. He will cheerfully accost you with "Have you seen the funniest joke book in the world?" and try to sell one of his self-published booklets from his little wagon. I bought a couple once and they were mostly tired old jokes of dubious taste, but HE is entertaining and is STILL there nearly 10 years after I graduated! read more

You know what's odd? Considering the connection Steve Prefontaine and Bill Bowerman have to the University of Oregon, you'd think that their official store would have a little more in the way of Pre and Bowerman swag. I mean, at least more than overpriced ($25) screen-printed cotton shirts. No official Nike Pre/Bowerman gear to be found here. That said, it appears to be a more than adequate college bookstore. I wouldn't know, as I donated most of my earnings to another branch of the Oregon University System. Still, like it is with most official college bookstores, you're probably better off heading off-campus. At least that way you can avoid the utterly ridiculous back-in parking spaces along 13th Avenue. read more

Don't buy their used textbooks. They purposely sell you books that aren't in a condition they will buy back. NEVER buying textbooks here again. Service was incompetent and manager was rude. Manager tried to tell me I didn't buy the book here, too, when the duck store is the only place I had gotten textbooks before. He then stopped that argument when I laughed sayin I could pull up my credit card statement, as he was probably hoping I paid in cash before. Absolutely pathetic. That being said, don't ever rent a book from them either, or if need be, thoroughly check you book and refuse anything not close to perfect condition. I was just here with my friend to get her books and i wanted to buy a couple of shirts for my dad and myself. It's really clean and really organized with a lot of cool Duck stuff. The Duck clothes and items are downstairs and the book store is upstairs. They have the course books and reading books. If i were a student at the University of Oregon i would be going here to get my stuff all the time. There are a couple of shops connected to the Duck store like a computer store and there's a coffee shop in there too. It got really busy during school hours there, but there are so many cashier stands that you really do not have to wait long. read more

Great for buying Duck gear, souvenirs and gifts. This is also a nice place to stop for a snack or cup of coffee in between class. They also continually have book sales right at the front doors, and I've picked up many a cheap, good book from there. This place is a true campus icon. As a real bookstore it sucks though. It (usually) has the books assigned to your classes but the remained of the selection is terrible. Skip the Duck Store and go to Smith Family instead. I'm a longtime student and I've also attended 5 colleges, so I'm pretty familiar with college bookstores in general. The Duck Store has an AMAZING selection of "stuff". That's probably its biggest "pro". Three levels! Bookstore upstairs (not limited to just textbooks - there's also lots of supplemental books, books for fun, toys, doodads, and, when in season, a vast array of calendars) Ground floor is Ducks merchandise (probably hundreds of things to choose from, and several will make you giggle), the coffee shop, a little "mini market", an Oregon Community Credit Union mini branch, and a computer/gadget/tablet/accessory section. There's also a little "post office" in the back with an outgoing mail spot. Downstairs is art, craft, and supply heaven. Their selection is the best I've ever seen at a college bookstore and honestly rivals most art supply shops I've been to. Now, for the blunt part. This place, in general, is horribly, god-awful, overpriced as all hell. If you're a student, this is probably out of your price range, which is just silly. Trying to buy anything in the "mini market", like a can of coffee or something, is going to be anywhere from half again as much to twice the price you would pay at 7-11, or in a vending machine. The Starbucks Doubleshots, for example, are $2.00-$2.50 most places, and are $3.50 here. That's pretty consistent with everything they sell. My advice? Never buy anything full price. Ignore the entire full priced section of Duck stuff in the middle, and make a beeline for the back, near the "post office", where everything is on clearance. I've never spent more than $10 a piece on Duck clothes. It can be done! For food, go to the mini market in the morning. The salads and sandwiches do eventually get old, and they'll be marked down 50% off. This can take a $5.00 sandwich down to an affordable $2.50 and make it worth it. Downstairs, ask for a punch card. This doesn't save you much, but not everyone knows about them or will offer you one. As an artist, I'll tell you - more expensive tools doesn't necessarily mean "better". Don't fall into the trap of spending tons of money on your supplies. Try something mid range, learn the technique, and save the fancy stuff for fancy pieces. Your sketches and experiments should be about quantity and experimentation - cheaper tools will do the trick! For books, honestly - you might be able to get by without the textbook in a lot of your classes. Try it out and see. Attend lecture, take good notes, Google the hell out of everything, go to office hours. For many classes, you'll still learn the concepts without the book. read more

There is something that bothers me every time I walk into this place, and that is that the focus right from when you walk in the front door is on Ducks merchandise: jackets, hats, sweatshirts etc. I understand that that sort of thing makes a lot of money, but it really rubs me the wrong way when the campus bookstore doesn't put the focus on the books, which are upstairs. Sure there are pluses: they have a great selection of art supplies, school supplies, books (downstairs and upstairs, respectively), and they have a little mini-mart area with snacks and coffee on the main floor, which is convenient. But I still can't help but get a little frustrated that so much focus is put on apparel and souvenirs. Also not too happy with the used textbooks and the buyback. I bought a used textbook for a class and was offered the chance to rent it or buy it. I asked how much it was to rent the book and it was only $10 less than buying it. Not exactly a deal, especially considering how expensive textbooks are (and I know that the price of textbooks isn't necessarily their fault). BUT, the used texts are often in rough condition, I have several that had highlighting and pen-marks/notes all through them which made them difficult to read. I don't think that those are the kinds of books that should be sold back, and if they are they should be marked down considerably more than they are. Lastly, I wasn't happy with the buyback experience that I had. I had to buy an iClicker for one of my classes, which is a completely useless thing outside of the classroom. Since I am done with coursework what else am I going to do with the thing other than sell it back. I kept the original box, the packaging, instructions and the actual iClicker was in perfect condition when I brought it back. Everything looked so good that when I sold it back the woman behind the counter asked me if I even used it at all. I said I did and that I wanted to sell it back. I paid $60 for it (if I am remembering correctly) and I got back I think $10. My numbers might not be exactly right, but proportionally that is what it amounted to. Definitely not a good deal. Sure, go in there and get your books if you have to (but you're better off checking Smith Family down the street first) and stop in and get your parents some ducks stuff, but other than that don't bother. Avoid it if you can. read more

The service is friendly and the prices aren't bad if you're just popping in for a coke. But the thing is . . . that it's a bookstore . . . a bad bookstore. The books (textbooks and otherwise) are far too expensive, even for new books. Period. You'll be better off looking down the street for your books at Smith Family Bookstore. Or, if it isn't available there, you should go online. Seriously, don't cheat yourself, you shouldn't waste you money buying textbooks that you probably won't end up reading much of anyways. read more

The Duck Store manages to be big without being overwhelming, and the division of products into Literary, Digital, Creative and Spirit sections makes it easy to find things. In addition to the standard textbooks, class supplies and Duck gear, they also carry some lunch/snack type food and beverage items as well as a limited assortment of toiletries, which is nice if you're rushing around campus and don't have time to go to a real store. The student cashiers are generally friendly, and even the guard has a smile and a bowl of candy. My one complaint is that most of the stuff is overpriced, but I guess that's par for the course with a student bookstore. read more

I hate the bookstore. I love Digital Duck. Well, maybe love is too strong of a word, but they sure can have some awesome prices on various Apple products. If you're looking into getting some new electronics I would definitely recommend checking out the prices here. They've saved me a good bit of money on multiple occasions. Just got back from the Duck Shop on campus. They are slammed on x-mas eve but had lots of Rose Bowl merchandise and lots of checkers. Very friendly and helpful staff, a please to shop there. I also love the personel at Duck Shop by the Cass center. Always looking for good quality merchandise and while they are not as deep in upperend clothing as I would like they do get some in. The two gals at the Cass center usually give me a heads up when nice Nike polos or special jackets are going to be available. Left today with some great Rose Bowl sweatshirts, serveral t-shirts, RB football and a bunch of Rose Bowl ducklips (Thanks to Chris who figured out how to ring them up). Thanks to the folks at the Duck Shop for getting us ready for the Rose Bowl and taking care of all the fans, you are appreciated. read more

I come here to buy my books, supplies, snacks, and etc. I usually receive great service here. I walked in today inquiring about packing boxes for mailing and I received 3 free used boxes. The woman behind the counter was nice enough to check prices for shipping 35 pounds worth of stuff via UPS. The banking branch here is always awesome too. Great people with good personalities and they are always willing to help. I wish there was an Oregon credit union in California! :) read more
