I was in and out with a pair of running shoes that I love thanks to Brad! He did a few quick tests to see how I land when I run, had me run a few stores down and back to make sure I wasn't off balance, and was super knowledgeable about each pair.

Eugene Running Company has a small but clean store located in an upscale shopping center in Eugene. Despite its size, there is a lot of product packed in here, which feels a bit cramped when the store is virtually empty, so I can't imagine what it would feel like with ten or more customers inside. Though I'm not a running enthusiast, I appreciated the shop's storytelling: autographed pictures of Olympians and stories of Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight made me feel connected to the running community in Eugene. The Christmas decorations and music were also a nice touch that gave this place a local feel. Eugene Running Company is a specialty running store that offers more premiere products and niche running brands that you couldn't find at big box retail stores. Though Nike was the store's dominant brand, Mizuno, Hoka, and Brooks, and Asics had a noticeable presence on the shoe wall. Lightweight quarter-zip and mock-neck jackets seemed to be the big winter sellers, while tank tops and international t-shirts made up a big portion of the sale rack. Unfortunately, the customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. Neither of the salespeople, who were sitting at the front desk when I entered, acknowledged my presence during my entire shopping experience. They didn't seem interested in me or the other customer browsing the store, which is a huge disappointment given that many customers choose to shop at a local specialty store because of the knowledge and customer service the employees offer. My experience at Eugene Running Co. gave me no reason to return.

By far the best running store I have ever experienced! I had the privilege to stop by this store on my way back from Brooks PR this year and the workers are kind and knowledgeable with running. I bought a long sleeve and got a small detour of some history behind the store. The apparel there is very nice and exclusive, would definitely recommend taking a trip down to Eugene to experience a "one of a kind" running store!

Great service and selection. We were looking for a specific Nike shoe and found it there along with some nice track town/Pre merch.

It should come as no surprise that a store of this caliber can be found in Track Town USA.

My husband and I stopped in here on a whim last night, not even sure if they were open, as there…read morewere no hours listen on the door. But we pulled on the door and they opened. We walk in, to be greeted by silence. Total and complete silence. I look over a rack in time to see this nerdy-looking douche staring in our direction from the cash register. We make eye contact, which is the perfect opening to greet us. Does he take it? Nope. Ok, well the Oregon Sports employees have never been famous for their customer service, no matter which location you visit. I'm in the middle of a discussion with my husband, and I hear his name yelled. Apparently he worked with our douche of an employee like a year ago. So, he's distracted. Which means I have plenty of time to wander and find things. Sadly, find things I did! We ended up spending almost $150. Apparently he was in a good mood last night and bought me everything I wanted. Lol. Failing that, he felt bad for making me go to that crappy bar I just finished reviewing. Either way I found some great Nike shirts and a hat. I'm picky about my Duck gear and wear exclusively Nike for that. I found a good selection and was impressed. Nathan found one shirt, I believe. Everything else was mine. There's a single mirror in the women's section, that's completely hidden/camouflaged, and I had to ask where it was. There's no fitting room. My only saving grace is I was wearing multiple shirts, so I can try stuff on over them if needed. I was not impressed by this though. So douche (I forget his name, as he's not important enough to remember) previously worked with my husband. There was some sort of personality conflict between him and the managers. Somehow after listening to him, I could see why. Customer service is huge in my husband's job. This guy fit in far better at Oregon Sports, where he wasn't required to have any customer service skills. I was impressed by the selection in this store, although small and cramped, it deserves 3-4 stars. The customer service is a 1 star shit show. So that's why it gets 2 stars. Will I return? Probably, but not in the near future. My husband already paid a small fortune for his whim. I doubt he'll be excited to let me in there loose again. Lol.

After reading a few of these reviews..I thought I'd chime in..I've been to this location a handful…read moreof times. Always have a great selection of adult items..I always overspend ;). But, on this particular day I was in search of gear for my little one Kash who was a little over a year and a half..this kid loves "Ducks" and any SPORTS ball in general!!! He's a FANATIC and I love it!! But, the young girl working there that day was not a fan! We had the store literally to ourselves and my son for a year and a half is very well behaved..but there's BALLS and DUCKS EVERYWHERE within his reach. So he wants to play with all of it at one time!! LOL!! He was in heaven!! Like I said, we had the store to ourselves. It was a ghost town there that day and it happened to be an away game (TV) that day..Back on topic. So, my original goal was to find gear for him. He spotted a duck hat in his size immediately and put it on backwards (never wearing a hat before in his young life) kid amazes me! Next to that are clothes mostly for girls it felt..or unisex..I just didn't see what I was looking for in his size..I asked the girl if I was just not seeing "little kid or boy stuff" at this point she was already irritated that my son was playing with every ball in sight..I was letting him have fun since we were the ONLY ones in the store! She begrudgingly said it's "all in this area" and most is unisex..I had accumulated a small pile of items on the counter while picking up ball after ball repeatedly..so I figured I'd BUY a set of mini Duck ones they had so she would be less irritated with him..It didn't work..so I carried him around vs...hearing her complain..by the time I had picked out about $300 in items I was so stressed out about her annoyance with my sports crazed son..I was ready to leave! Would I go back? Yes, they have great stuff there! Will I "not take my son" next time? HELL NO! Just because you hate your job or kids? I'm not killing the EMENSE JOY my son has for (the) Ducks or Sports! Btw, the items little ones can reach near the floor are dusty and full of cobwebs!!

Horrible service for a Nike store. No joke, every time I go in, they have a new employee that has…read moreno idea what retail service is. I was a concierge at a nearby hotel and I would hear from our guests daily about how they were treated poorly. Now they have a new policy that they don't return shoes after 6 months. But on the Nike app it shows all purchases from years back. Why have the app that shows you purchases if the store won't take back brand new items. No where does it say this in stores or online. I have hundreds of pairs of new shoes that they refuse to trade in for new releases. I am done with Nike. Their clothes have lost all quality, and they are selling cheaply made designs on the showroom floor. I suggest going with an American alternative

Stopped in this Nike location because well, Hi we were in Oregon so it only felt right…read more I'll admit, I'm not a big Nike fan anymore. I love supporting smaller athletic and athleisure wear companies but Nike is Nike and will always be Nike. I think it's still a solid choice for Men but there are so many far better small brand options for Women in my opinion. My brother is also sponsored by Nike and Callaway so buying these brands at retail price just seems silly to me. I have zero reason to do it other than wanting something right then and there - and I did! I wanted a little gift to bring home to my son, since he's a runner and I was in Eugene. I found a great shirt for him. Customer service was great, store associates were friendly at each encounter.
