Stopped in to check out the merchandise here... since Lazars Bazaar is moving into this space. I got to meet Lazar, and chatted a bit. Lots of nice shoes, a great selection of different t-shirts and stuff too. I want to stop back in after they get all of the Bazaar merchandise moved over. read more

I used to be a customer here. They provided excellent service. I received an email saying they are having a closeout 50% off shoes. I did not keep that email there was no code so I went in and he said there was no such thing as 50% off. The worker seem to know what's going on. But He cut her off and and then said his son who owns the business had him delete an email and that he would not give me any 50% off of anything unless I could show him something. I will never return here again. He did not try to reach out to his father nor was I provided for. read more

Very cool store with eclectic collection of sneakers and comfortable shoes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Enjoy d speaking to Mr. Lazar who is very kind and interested in his customers finding what they want. read more

Don't trust their hours, nor the product in stock. Always inaccurate and can find better deals elsewhere. Multiple times their hours are listed, I go and they're closed. Don't have much variety either. read more

I took my adult daughter who has a developmental disability here to be fitted for a pair of shoes. The young woman who waited on her was excellent. She paid extra attention to her requests in a shoe and took the time to measure her foot and to get to know what she liked. Excellent experience. My daughter loves her new shoes and wears them daily. Great value for the money when you get a well fitted pair of everyday shoes that you love. read more

I have forgotten what it is like not to shop at a mega store. This store has a decent selection and very helpful salespeople. I spent more time and made more purchases than I thought I would. Men's shoes lean towards the casual outdoors, which was what I was looking for. Meter parking, but FREE parking around the corner on Oak St. (Over Parking Lot?). read more

This place is a family owned business and the whole family is involved. I have special feet so I called to check with them if they had any options for me. Not only did they have options, they looked up their inventory to make sure they could help me, they were so helpful when I got there too! They really listened to my needs and even up sold me on a second pair because they heard my needs around my feet and had something they felt would be a good fit for my feet. I appreciate them for their help and the fact that they showed care around my specific needs. read more

I needed a pair of Running shoes and They were able to hook me up with the best pair I have ever wore. Super helpful and knowledgeable! My spot for shoes always! read more

Shoe-A-Holic - Running shoe - Shoe Stores Near Me - Eugene, Oregon

I can't say enough good things about this business! I love that it's a small, local business that's been around for many years. Every time I come in, the store is neat, tidy, and well organized. They have a great selection. I always find something I want, and typically a few more than I need or can afford at any one time. But it's fun to browse the displays. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. They are nice people who really seem to care about their jobs and customers. They aren't Chatty Kathy when you first walk in. They give you time to browse and form questions/needs before approaching you. Once you do need help, they're all for helping you. They treat you like you're the only person in the store. I like that undivided attention. Parking is a bit tricky at times. I don't think they have a dedicated parking lot? But I wouldn't swear to that. I've just always parked on the street. Which in a Eugene you have to pay for. Annoying, but such is life. The only big turn off with this is during busy times when there's no parking, and you have to either circle the block 14 times or park 3 blocks away and walk. That's my one real complaint here. Would I return? Absolutely! I've been a fan of this store for years, and will always return until I find a very good reason not to. Review 3 of 2017. read more

Went in on Friday night and was helped by a young man and younger woman, forgot to get their names! They were unbelievably helpful. I wanted to treat my partner to a new pair of shoes but we had no idea what we were looking for. They helped us find a shoe in our budget, got her resized (she was looking at the wrong sizes!), and didn't make a fuss at all as we tried on probably 20 pairs of shoes. When we left we realized it was 20 minutes after they closed and they never said anything or tried to rush us! Amazing service, great selection of shoes. Will be returning! read more

I came into Shoe-A-Holic after disappointing customer service at two other stores and was happy the moment I walked in the door. I was greeted by Priya (the manager and/or owner?) and I immediately felt in good hands. I told him what I was looking for and he was very professional and pleasant to work with and I ended up leaving with a great pair of sandals. Because of his great service and shoe selection, I came back again a few months later looking for boots. I found a pair but my size was unavailable and he offered me several options and worked very hard to ensure that I left with a product that I really loved. I am so grateful to him for all of the help he has given me and I look forward to going back again with any future shoe needs! read more

I wish I could give Shoe-A-Holic six stars! I'm going on a mission trip soon to build houses and needed some steel-toed boots. The Shoe-A-Holic was one of the higher-rated places in the area, and it seemed to have fair prices. When I arrived at the beautiful store, I was immediately welcomed with a smile. The man, Priya, asked me what I was looking for, and I let him know that I needed some steel-toed boots. He found one pair in my size, but they were unfortunately over my budget. When he asked what I needed them for, I told him about the mission trip. He was immediately sympathetic to the cause and told me that I can consider the boots a donation. Priya is humble, generous, and has great business sense. If you shop here, you will not only be supporting a small, local business but also supporting good people! Shop here if you enjoy reasonable prices, knowledgeable staff, variety, and human generosity. read more

I'm wearing my first pair of Palladium shoes and my feet have found their home. i stopped into Shoe-A-Holic in December to check out styles and prices of another, very popular canvas shoe...but the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable crew lead me toward these comfy, economical shoe/boots that are just what i've been after. Lots of brands, lots of styles, downtown location and prices that are as good or better than online! This kind of store makes shopping local an easy choice. read more

They're very reasonable and helpful in good quality shoes.

Good selection and helpful staff. As far as brick and mortar shoe stores go, it's great.

The funny thing about shoeaholicism is that it's the only disease that people can get pissed off at you about. Take my mom for example. Every time I come home she is saying something to the effect of: "No wonder you can't save any money, look Steve (my dad) , he's wearing another pair of new shoes!" Shoe-a-Holic is the type of place you should keep a shoe ho away from. Because shoe hos fall off the wagon at shoe stores like Shoe-a-holic. If this place wasn't so conveniently located near the bus station I wouldn't find myself wasting time (and money) inside. But since it is? Well, you'll probably see me with a new pair of Toms sometime soon. White people like me love buying shoes with the idea that poor kids somewhere in Guinea-Bissau are benefiting from my compulsive materialistic nature. On a side note: Helloooo!? Dumbest store name ever!? read more

When I was about sixteen or so, Lazar's Bazaar was a funky little head shop located in downtown Eugene's then-pedestrian mall. Since then, the streets have all been opened back up in an attempt to chase the street kids back into their holes and increase vehicular traffic, because apparently people will buy more stuff if they drive their SUV there than if they have to walk. In any case, Lazar's was an all-purpose emporium for such things as Whip-Its (nitrous oxide), Rush (amyl nitrate), bongs, fake pot (Wizard Smoke, anyone?), concert posters and t-shirts, small pipes, big pipes, skateboarding gear, shoes, sex toys, incense, and just about anything else small, trinkety, and related to vice. Over the years, though, Lazar cleaned up his act a little bit (and ran for mayor a time or two) and now keeps the Whip-its and Rush (not the horrible Geddy Lee-led Canadian "progressive" rock band) under the counter. He also branched out. A few blocks away is Shoe-A-Holic, which sells absolutely no drug paraphernalia or dildoes. Shoe-A-Holic sells shoes. And currry powder. Lots of shoes, big selection, lots of sales, lots of buy one pair, get another pair free, and so forth. The not-on-sale shoes, however are sold at full retail price or more. There are bargains to be found, but you have to be careful. Shoe care products are also sold here. I got some shoe laces. And curry powder. You can buy four or five different blends. I got the kind for meat. read more

After running all around town with no shoe success I finally found this gem. Shoe-a-holic has a HUGE selection! And all last pair shoes are 50 % off. Customer service was awesome. They were very attentive without being annoying. This is now my go to place for all shoes- boots, sandals, tennis shoes, running shoes, fancy shoes- everything! Yep. I love this place. read more

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. The selection is the best in the area. I'm particularly satisfied with me New Balance 990 sneakers . I highly recommend this store. Their occasional sales are also a great deal. My girlfriend loved her novelty socks also! read more

Is it crazy to say I've been shopping here forever-since the 90s (high school -doc martens, cons, vans, platforms). Now I buy shoes here when I want something very cool and very different than what the main shops would sell. Check them out a downtown staple. read more

Shoe-A-Holic ROCKS!!!! If you haven't checked it out yet then you haven't truly lived. I'm new to Yelp but after going to this shoe store I HAD to share my experience...it's only fair that we reveal these precious gems when we find them, right? I had pretty much come to the conclusion that Eugene sucked when it came to finding shoes. Then I saw this girl at a party with these killer boots and asked her where she got them. Shoe-A-Holic was the answer and then she began raving about the shoes there. Ummm...what? Where? How did I miss this one??? Fast forward to two days later, I walk into shoe heaven! Seriously, how did I miss this one? And they have everything. Yes...everything. Not only did I find the girl from the party's rockin' boots but I found myself a new pair of runners, some HOT heels and some funky little flats (that were on sale...double bonus!)! Needless to say I stocked up. After giving my mom the full fashion show, I brought her in the next day, she had almost the same reaction (shock and awe) and preceded to get some Danskos that she swears by and a couple of clearance shoes. They've got incredible shoes, tons of sales too, TABLES of them. It might seem like a lot at once but believe me - the selection is great, the employees went above and beyond, and now my feet will be happy forever. I am a Shoe-A-Holic and proud of it! read more

Before COVID I was shopping in Shoe A Holic and noticed a sweet Pacific NW sweatshirt I wanted to buy but got sidetracked with a pair of shoes and never bought the sweatshirt. Then COVID hit with Stay at Home Orders and I couldn't get the sweatshirt, so I left a message at the store asking if there was any way to buy it. The owner said he would wrap it up and bring it to my car if I came downtown. Talk about service! - Great shop! read more

An amazing shoe selection and super friendly staff. I've been trying to find a place that offers casual outdoor shoes that have close to zero heal drop and toe room. Essentially a casual minimalist shoe. I searched online for months and found an Olukai shoe that the manufacturer said wasn't in Eugene. But it is in fact here and for $10 cheaper than the website!!! Wish I would have gotten it here instead and supported this business. A really great selection on other brands and wish I would have come here first! Wayyy better than REI. Definitely coming back for my next pair. read more

The service was unbelievable! Knowledgeable, patient, and they cheerfully brought out ALOT of pairs of shoes for my girlfriend to try on. The selection could maybe be a little better, but just based on the service, this would be my first stop to see if they had anything I liked. read more

They knew right where to point me and, I don't think I've had a more enjoyable shoe buying experience, ever. They were truly only interested in me getting exactly what I wanted and not have to compromise. read more

I've read all the other reviews, and I wish I had had those experiences instead of mine. There were four employees, and two customers including me. I was ignored as I walked round and round the store. This was my second visit, it was the same the first time I went in. I needed something specific, but never mind! I'll shop online. read more

Great store!! Good selection with friendly and helpful sales associates! I have a very hard time finding shoes because I wear a large size, women's size 11. Most of the time when you go shoe shopping sales associates just want you to wander and figure out what you want, at this place they are willing to guide you and help you find exactly what you need and want! Personally I will exclusively be shopping for my shoes here read more

I finally checked out this store, and they DO have a lot of shoes. But finding parking was hard, and there was probably only two pairs in the whole store that I would actually wear. The styles aren't refine, elegant shoe that one might wear for a night out on the town or to a nice restaurant. But it is still an awesome place for casual yet hip shoes for hipsters or hippies. And, like I said, there is one or two more classical style shoes. Oh, but the lady's boots were cute! But I wasn't looking for boots. read more

One of the few shoe stores I've ever been able to walk into and find a perfect business casual shoe in less than ten minutes. This says a lot about the quality and selection of their shoes, for I have both a difficult foot size (high arches, narrow width) and am very selective about shoe appearance (I loathe about 95% of shoes). But there they were, a pair of Børns that looked beautiful and fit perfectly -- and the staff kept the store open late for me to try on a few other possibilities. Many cheers for Shoe-A-Holic! read more

I usually shop at Shoe-A-Holic since I like to support local businesses and they have a great selection. I always receive good service, but during my most recent visit, I received EXCELLENT service!! The guy who helped me is apparently the buyer and KNOWS his shoes! I actually got my feet measured! I haven't had that done since I was a kid. I love this store and tell everyone I know to shop there! read more

Great place to find every style of Toms you could want. Usually have 20% off tags on some of them. Others shoes in the back are always on sale too. Good place for all types of shoes: work, workout, casual. Nice staff read more

I really love this shoe store. I have purchased shoes from there twice now within the last 2 years. The most recent purchase, I was needing a shoe that would be good for walking a lot as I was heading on a trip the following day out of the country. Priyah hooked me up and showed me what kind of shoe I needed to help my feet be stable as the stabililzer shoes I was purchasing from REI / Burches were actually increasing my problem! He showed me a drop shoe that I love. I can't believe that no other shoe store in town had that kind of customer service or knowledge. Let me tell you it has helped, I wore those shoes up a mountain hike for 9.5 hours. I like that Priyah wasn't pushy. He was honest, helpful, and I felt like he wanted the best for me without any pressure. I also like their shoe selection, I got some bright blue docs there and everyone always comments on them. They have unique shoes. I will definitely continue shopping there for shoes. read more

This shoe store is unassuming from the outside, but the inside reveals a world of shoes nearly comparable to Nordstrom or other big shoe departments. In particular, they have a good selection of Danskos, Toms, and cute hipster running shoes. The customer service is attentive and helpful, and they have a good return policy. read more
