They are friendly and bubbly and nice. They give you actual advice ("Does this make my butt look weird?" "Well, yes, let's try this other thing." OK that is what I WANT.) I am lousy with names. So I'm going with appearances.... Beautiful white girl with black hair and purple/green color in it, you are awesome. Your name starts with a K and I am so sorry that I didn't write it down. But first, I was not greeted at the door. Then I spent almost 25 minutes looking through the entire store. We are all used to being greeted and then asked if we need help by every salesperson in these smaller clothing stores. So it felt really weird when time went on and on with no word but yet both ladies buzzed around me. One lady spent most of her time at the register desk...she seemed like the manager on duty. We made eye contact twice, and still not a word. The other gal was working at putting back stock on the floor from the dressing room. When I was at the clearance section, she stepped in front of me two different times to put stuff back instead of waiting for me to finish looking through the items. But at least she did say excuse me both times and I moved back. Finally when I was walking back towards the front of the store to leave (by then over 20 minutes from entering) the gal working from the back asked if she could help me. This experience was so awkward that I felt I should leave this review in hopes that they will see this and make an effort in the future (BTW, I was the only customer in the store). I wondered if this might just be a local thing since this is my first time to Oregon. But nope...went to the Kohl's right next door and was treated with all smiles and kindness.

I tried on both shirts. one was too large and the other one was just right. On my first visit, all of the staff members were very aware of all the customers in the store, but I did not have that kind of luck this second time I went. Apparently, the service in this store is inconsistent, but I will take my chances the next time I'm looking for an unusual shirt. This store also has Jewelry, shoes, and pants.

My experience at this American Eagle Outfitters location was frustrating and disappointing. The…read morestore seems disorganized, and the process for picking up an online order was unnecessarily slow and poorly managed. I ordered my items online because they weren't available in the store. Having them shipped to the store for pickup was the only option offered. When I received an email today confirming that my order was ready, I stopped by after work to pick it up. When I walked in, the associate was on the other side of the store looking at me, yet I had to say twice that I was there to pick up an online order before getting any acknowledgment. I eventually walked over to her, and only then did she greet me and ask how she could help. She had to call another associate for assistance, which I understand. Everyone needs training and support at times. However, what happened next was ridiculous. The second associate came from the back and asked for my pickup code and last name. After I provided the information, both associates wandered into the back of the store and disappeared for approximately 5-10 minutes. They eventually returned to the front to look for my order. They found it at the front of the store, but instead of simply handing it to me, they picked it up and took it back into the stockroom. I then waited another 10-15 minutes with absolutely no communication or explanation about what was taking so long. I was left standing there wondering what on earth was happening. Eventually, they brought my order out. Why send customers an email saying their order is ready for pickup if the store isn't prepared to hand it over? An order marked ready should actually be ready to go, not turn into a 20-minute ordeal with employees wandering around, taking the order back and forth, and leaving the customer completely in the dark. I understand that employees may need assistance or additional training, and I'm not blaming anyone for needing help. However, management needs to establish a more organized, efficient pickup process and ensure employees communicate with customers while they wait. I like American Eagle's products, but this experience was a poor reflection of the brand. Please get your online order pickup process together. Customers shouldn't have to waste their time waiting for an order they were already told was ready.

If you come here frequently, that's how you can get the best deals, because you never know what new product they will be getting in! Nordstrom Rack has pretty much everything clothing and accessory-wise that you could need: pajamas, exercise apparel, outerwear, jewelry, bags, shoes, and more. And oh, the shoes. I've gotten Tory Burch, Jack Rogers, and Marc Jacobs shoes here before. If there's something I've bought here more than anywhere else, it would be shoes. They have a good selection, and if you don't see what you like at this particular location, you can always order something on Nordstromrack.com, which has a wider selection. Say that pair of shoes you ordered from the website doesn't fit? No big deal; you can bring them here to return, and there's a 90 day return policy. My latest trip here was unplanned. I was out doing errands and grocery shopping, and my umbrella broke. And of course since it's Eugene, a torrential downpour started. Rather than risk the chance of my purse getting ruined from the rain, I stopped in here before I headed over to Trader Joe's to look for an umbrella. And sure enough, they had a variety of umbrellas to choose from! I ended up getting a good quality umbrella here for $12.99, whereas the cheapest umbrellas across the way at Bed, Bath and Beyond were $18.99. Not to mention, my new green chevron print umbrella is far cuter than the plain black ones at BBB. In a city with a sad excuse for a mall (the Valley River Center, that is), this is one of the few places where you can get good quality clothes, shoes, accessories, and more.

My favorite section of this store is the clearance section, as they are always 50-80% off the retail price. So I've found $40 items for like $5. I've bought a bunch of shirts and sweaters on clearance here. The home section is good too. I've bought some cool kitchen stuff in here, candles, holiday decorations, and more. I'm typically not a huge fan of the shoe section. Just because I never find anything I can't live without there. My husband loves to check out their section of Oregon Duck gear. The store is always clean. That's never a problem. The racks could be spaced apart a little farther, as it seems claustrophobic at times. That's honestly my biggest complaint. Employees are a bit scarce as well. I never see any unless they are at the cash registers. So if you need something, good luck finding someone. They keep the metal pole things to get stuff off high racks stashed around the store, and you're never too far from one. So you just have to look for them. I know this, so I never have a problem with it. But if you're not familiar with where they are, finding someone to help you reach something can be frustrating and annoying. Being short, this is always a problem for me. The cashiers are so-so. They push the credit card thing really hard. I would presume it has something to do with how their performance is evaluated or something big, so they are required to push it. Sometimes they can be downright rude and hostile if you don't want their card. They ask, I give an excuse, they argue. Pull another excuse, another argument, followed by them trying to convince you, bla bla bla. Finally by the time you are agitated enough to snap at them, they back off. But they will harass you until you get pissed enough to yell at them over it. This is the worst part of the experience, and what keeps it at 3 stars. The store and the sales are worth 4 stars, but the cashiers who push the credit cards is what keeps it at 3 stars. I really wish they weren't required to be so pushy about it, and make it a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it's not. If I could do self checkout, it would totally make 4 stars. Lol. I will definitely keep returning to this store to buy home decorations, clearance items, Duck gear for my husband, and much more.
