So I was in desperate need of Flipflops. To my surprise they had a fair selection of women's size 12 sandals, but nothing simple and cheap for a water park. An employee by the name of Justin stopped to ask if I needed assistance and after I, albeit in a foul mood at this point, mentioned my issue he hussled about the store to find everything that would fit. I felt like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman when she goes shopping with Richard Gere's credit card. Justin was kind and incredibly helpful, far more than the "sorry, have you tried shopping online?" that I kept getting everywhere else. If Justin's representative of the management/training style of the rest of the staff here, I'd highly recommend this shop for affordability, (options for us Peggy Hills), and good customer service.

I was immediately greeted when I went in, and the employee asked if I wanted something specific. Yes, baby shoes. He starts by asking me about size. In this case, size doesn't matter so much (the only time I've ever said that! Lol) as the design. He asks the standard questions, directs me to the section of baby shoes, while telling me about their current sale. I showed him a pic of what I had in mind. I really want pink and white baby DC shoes. They didn't have that, but had Converse shoes in pink. Again, not what I was aiming for. Their girl shoe section isn't spectacular, unless you want girly, glittery, bubblegum pink and blues. Even though they didn't have what I wanted, both employees really tried to help me. I appreciated that, and that customer service is what would bring me back in the future to check out their selection. I've been shopping at The Clothes Horse for over 5 years now, and I have to say that it is by far my favorite place to shop in Eugene. I've dabbled in other resale stores around town, but I always come back to The Clothes Horse; it's a one-stop shop for all my different clothing needs and desires - at extremely respectable prices! You can find professional and classy attire for work and important events like interviews and meetings in brands like Ann Taylor, Loft, Talbots, Anne Klein, Banana Republic, and more. You can find sportswear for all kinds of weather in REI, L.L. Bean, Colombia Sportswear, etc. You can find that perfect party dress or the perfect welcome-to-fall boots. You'll fill your wardrobes with these classic basics as well as those exciting and one-of-a-kind pieces in great shape for a fair price. These clothes are like new without the dent in your wallet!! The employees always seem really helpful too. They clearly remember their regulars, and it's clear the owners have put a lot of thought into making your shopping experience as fun and comfortable as possible. Comfy "boyfriend" chairs stand near the back, near a kids corner full of toys and books. The ladies offer water and cookies and candy at the front. The music is also always fun and inviting! I've seen the ladies who work there dancing around as they work and they definitely seem to be enjoying themselves, so it's pretty hard not to catch their happy energy! They're always honest when asked opinions on clothing and seem to genuinely enjoy helping you find the right piece if you ask for help. Resale is such a great way to rotate your wardrobe! They buy all seasons all year round, unlike many other resale shops in Eugene. They also buy 6 out of 7 days of the week, which is more than most as well! They offer cash or store credit, which is always twice as much as the cash, so it's always pretty hard to say no to that! The Clothes Horse has been serving the lovely women of Eugene for over 21 years now, and since moving to their new location, another couple of decades are on the horizon without a doubt! Check them out for sure :) read more

This is one of my favorite shops! Resale clothing can be fun and it's a terrific way to keep your wardrobe current and fresh. It can also be a chore and sometimes one can feel like they've pawed through someone's dusty old closet. However at the Clothes Horse, it's exciting from the time you walk through the door. They've gone out of their way to bring in great brands and quality pieces. They merchandise their clothing in such a way one feels that surely there's something in this shop for them. And it's true! I have found something strategic for my wardrobe every single time I come in. I've bought shoes, coats, sweaters, blouses, - you name it... I've found it here. Now lets talk staff...I can start with helpful and move right on into knowledgeable. They know their inventory well. And, they're very nice people focused on helping you have a great experience. Two thumbs up for The Clothes Horse! (If I had three, it would be three thumbs up)! If you go in, tell them Val sent you. It's my way of letting them know that I think they rock! read more

This store is the best. Not only are the prices excellent, the clothing is always contemporary, unique, and in top shape. The Clothes Horse buys women's clothing 6 days a week (so there is constantly new inventory) and always offers cash or DOUBLE that amount in store credit. You can't beat that. Plus they buy jewelry, which not many other resale shops do. After exchanging numerous batches of clothing and accessories throughout the years I can honestly say that most of my wardrobe is comprised of pieces I found at the Clothes Horse. It's a fun and friendly atmosphere that never disappoints. If you're in Eugene and you love clothes you should definitely check this place out. read more
