Horrible service for a Nike store. No joke, every time I go in, they have a new employee that has no idea what retail service is. I was a concierge at a nearby hotel and I would hear from our guests daily about how they were treated poorly. Now they have a new policy that they don't return shoes after 6 months. But on the Nike app it shows all purchases from years back. Why have the app that shows you purchases if the store won't take back brand new items. No where does it say this in stores or online. I have hundreds of pairs of new shoes that they refuse to trade in for new releases. I am done with Nike. Their clothes have lost all quality, and they are selling cheaply made designs on the showroom floor. I suggest going with an American alternative read more

Stopped in this Nike location because well, Hi we were in Oregon so it only felt right. I'll admit, I'm not a big Nike fan anymore. I love supporting smaller athletic and athleisure wear companies but Nike is Nike and will always be Nike. I think it's still a solid choice for Men but there are so many far better small brand options for Women in my opinion. My brother is also sponsored by Nike and Callaway so buying these brands at retail price just seems silly to me. I have zero reason to do it other than wanting something right then and there - and I did! I wanted a little gift to bring home to my son, since he's a runner and I was in Eugene. Located in the beautiful 5th Street Public Market shopping center, Nike by Eugene falls short of its potential. Finding a parking spot was a huge hassle, and I ended up having to pay for street parking just to visit. My in-store experience didn't get much better; I spent 15 minutes inside, only one of two customers in the store, and was never once approached by an employee for help with shoe sizes or finding the right product. Not helpful. As far as the product selection, this store offers premium Nike products, typically new releases or top sellers. So don't expect to find any discounted products at this location. Currently, lifestyle products dominate shelf space. From leggings and outerwear to Blazer sneakers and footwear, this store trends more to the athleisure side of fashion than strictly workout gear. And while Ducks fans could find an assortment of fan apparel during football season, Nike by Eugene has replaced its UO team section with a dance-themed space. I assumed that if you wait by the shoes that a sales person would help me, since the person that was behind me was helped immediately when also looking at shoes. I sat down looking at the shoe I wanted to possible purchase, so I waited. Other customer purchased their shoes as I waited. More customers came in, and sales rep immediately went to other customers, then asked another customer if they needed help. I waited a little longer, then went to cashier for someone to help me. Of course, my shoes weren't available after waiting about 20 mins. I don't want to speculate why I wasn't help over other customers, but just bad form. read more

I don't think the selection is as big as I want it to be, but they carry the core of Nikes product line, and represent it, well. My step son and I went down Monday evening and received excellent service. We selected our shoes, asked for a couple different sizes, sent back for a couple of other sizes and promptly received our new selections. Proceeded to the counter, had a very cheerful, smiling, lady help us. She offered for us to sign up for the app on our mobile device and this gave us 15% off our entire purchase. Excellent service and then to provide us a way to get 15% off. We couldn't have asked for more. I've heard some not so positive comments about this store. For a store located where stories are told about the first Nike created in this town, I was underwhelmed by the single level small store space tucked under a huge building with a giant emblem you cannot miss. Others sports stores have a greater selection. There's free parking, the building was nice, and the store was clean. But the items inside was slim picking and expensive. read more

NIKE RUINED MY GIRLFRIEND'S BIRTHDAY On our bike ride, my girlfriend and I stopped for our first visit at this new Nike store in downtown Eugene to get her an outfit for her birthday. I was riding my expensive road bike with easy-to-steal attachments. The bike is less than 18" wide. The road bike is tiny and weighs 16 pounds. Eugene has one of the highest bike theft rates in the country so I never lock this bike outside. I've brought this bike into Dick's Sporting Goods, Natural Grocers, Whole Foods, Best Buy, and other stores while shopping with zero problems. Upon entering this store, a slightly overweight bearded guy said I couldn't bring the bike inside. I asked how come? He said because their insurance policies don't allow for things that could get tangled. I looked around and noticed the 8' to 10' wide cement aisles and the merchandise racks were about 15' to 20' apart. In my head, I'm thinking this guy may struggle with depth perceptions. Based on Marius' claim, people with wheelchairs, prosthetics, long fingernails, long hair, purses, active children, people using crutches, anyone with fingers, anyone with an arm span greater than 18" aren't allowed to shop at Nike. Additionally, all other retail stores that use shopping carts would be violating their insurance policies. He offered for me to leave my bike at the front near the entrance. Anyone can easily pick up the bike with one hand and casually exit. I asked my girlfriend if she would like to browse and come outside and get me when she found something she liked. I went outside and waited. A couple of minutes later, my girlfriend walked out and said she was a bit disturbed by what happened she wasn't in the mood to continue shopping there. I went back inside to get the guy's name so I could follow up with Nike's corporate office later and get their feedback. He wasn't in the front. I then realized it's very difficult to determine who works there and who were their customers. Everyone was in street clothes with no name tags or any branding that showed they worked there. I figured if I kept asking different people as I approach the register, I'd find one person who worked there. I walked up to three people who were standing in the middle of the aisle talking to each other. One of them said they worked there. The others remained quiet. I asked for the name of the guy I was speaking with earlier. This person softly said, "You mean Marius? Is this good or bad?" I let him know it's so I can reference the right person when I contact their corporate office. He said, "Ya know, we protect our own here. So I can't give out his name." I was confused by him mentioning the other guy's name and then saying he couldn't tell me. Is the second guy is implying that if any one of them witnessed one of their employees stealing, raping, assaulting, physically harming other people, or committing a crime, they would "protect their own?" Did Nike implement gangsta-in-da-hood training for their employees? We were excited to visit the new Nike store, get a birthday gift for my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday, and support an Oregon-based business. Instead, we left disappointed with the thought of WTF just happened? We will not be visiting this store until Nike provides better training for their employees, including the people who hired these employees, and for Nike to create a more customer-centric culture. read more

Located just off the corner of 6th Avenue and Pearl Street in Downtown Eugene. This Nike Store takes a step back into Swoosh history and highlights the brand and the close ties to the University Of Oregon. The store is generally well stocked. I have been through a few times during football season when the town swells up and find the latest in Nike apparel and footwear. The staff is always super friendly and helpful.
