I am an 82 year old female looking for an air fryer. I asked Sharon at the checkout where I might find airfryers. She said they were upstairs. Upstairs I saw Jack and asked if he knew about air fryers. He said yes. I showed him which one I wanted but there was no price. He scanned it and told me the price but said there would be coupons at checkout. Jack carried it down for me where Sharon took off coupons so I saved $45.00!!! Jack then carried it out to my car. I have always enjoyed Kohl's.They have a nice selection of clothes, home goods, and shoes. This location is at Gateway Mall in Springfield. My favorite section of this store is the clearance section, as they are always 50-80% off the retail price. So I've found $40 items for like $5. I've bought a bunch of shirts and sweaters on clearance here. The home section is good too. I've bought some cool kitchen stuff in here, candles, holiday decorations, and more. I'm typically not a huge fan of the shoe section. Just because I never find anything I can't live without there. My husband loves to check out their section of Oregon Duck gear. The store is always clean. That's never a problem. The racks could be spaced apart a little farther, as it seems claustrophobic at times. That's honestly my biggest complaint. Employees are a bit scarce as well. I never see any unless they are at the cash registers. So if you need something, good luck finding someone. They keep the metal pole things to get stuff off high racks stashed around the store, and you're never too far from one. So you just have to look for them. I know this, so I never have a problem with it. But if you're not familiar with where they are, finding someone to help you reach something can be frustrating and annoying. Being short, this is always a problem for me. The cashiers are so-so. They push the credit card thing really hard. I would presume it has something to do with how their performance is evaluated or something big, so they are required to push it. Sometimes they can be downright rude and hostile if you don't want their card. They ask, I give an excuse, they argue. Pull another excuse, another argument, followed by them trying to convince you, bla bla bla. Finally by the time you are agitated enough to snap at them, they back off. But they will harass you until you get pissed enough to yell at them over it. This is the worst part of the experience, and what keeps it at 3 stars. The store and the sales are worth 4 stars, but the cashiers who push the credit cards is what keeps it at 3 stars. I really wish they weren't required to be so pushy about it, and make it a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it's not. If I could do self checkout, it would totally make 4 stars. Lol. I will definitely keep returning to this store to buy home decorations, clearance items, Duck gear for my husband, and much more. read more

Overpriced merchandise. Bad customer service. I only shopped at Kohl's if I had a 30% off coupon and only shopped clearance items. Now that they've brought politics into the decision making of their choice of merchandise to sell, I'll never shop there again. I just checked my receipt and didn't realize that I only had 48 hours to participate in feedback on the Kohl's website. First off, I'm feeling pretty bummed about that, so at the very least I'm going to make sure to leave feedback here because I wanted to make sure that Roxi & Mariyah were recognized for their excellent customer service. I gave this place 3 stars not because the selection or quality of the clothing but the customer service. I love shopping at kohl's and LOVE my kohl's cash $$. How ever don't go in there excepting to get help. The return ladies that work there. The two older ones they are comply rude. I went to return pants I bought 4 days earlier and when they stated the refund would go back to my debit card and i would lose $10 of my kohl's cash I told her I just wanted to get a bigger size she told me "oh well I already did the return sorry you can buy them know with the refund" I thought but wait that means they would cost more since my kohl's cash is gone Her reply "yep" umm ok! And the workers who are downs stairs are just as bad. if I need help they act as those they don't want to even be there. Once i ask about an item that was on line for one price and on there in store online system to buy from another more expensive price but free shipping. The lady told me "well what can i do i don't make the prices" and walked off. Basically great clothes and deals but know what your looking for before you go in because asking for help there could make your hole day go bad. read more

Honestly I only come in here for LC Lauren Conrad accessories. Team LC! I recently watched all the episodes of The Hills and now I'm obsessed with her. The jewelry line is adorable and affordable. I get complimented on them all the time. No issues with the rings leaving any green marks on my hands. Before I found the LC line I was walking around blindly for a good ten minutes. It was hard to find employees to ask for help and nobody came up to me at all to ask how I was doing. But now that I know where LC is I make a beeline to her stuff and I'm out the door the next second. read more

My Mom is very shy about buying shorts, but they were so nice. Many staff members came up and offered help, not even teasing us for shopping a bit in the men's section. Mom came home with nice shorts and they were helpful! This is a great Kohl's where they keep things clean and provide you with service without being overbearing. She dropped me off at home and then bragged that she was going to go out driving in a pair of her new shorts! read more

I had an online order snafu! Huge box, empty with 3 pieces. You get the idea. I called Kohls.com. The representative was not helpful and told me since the box was so light to take it back to the store. Feeling frustrated I carried my big damaged empty box into Kohls! I was met by a superstar named Tess at customer service. She helped me so much. My new order is on its way and she was so kind and expedited my issue. Kohls should give her a raise. I love Kohls! The store has a good clearance section constantly and the location is right next to Cinemark 17 which is nice. The Kohls app offers many good deals and you often get good kohls cash (part of the reward program) to spend on clothes. Overall, the people there are friendly so I always go back when I need new clothes. read more

I use to love a Kohl's customer service. However today when I was checking out when I declined their offer for a credit card the clerk would not take no for an answer. She asked five more times!!! I was not happy so I called the store immediately after leaving and asked for a manager. I got a girl who sounded extremely young. When I told her what happened she just laughed at me and told me it was there policy to ask 3 times. I will take my business where I am welcome to pay cash. I did not try on the clothes I bought and while my normal practice is to just exchange when something does not fit, that will not be the case this time. We used to LOVE going here after going to eat at Hometown Buffet (both are adjacent to each other off the Gateway Mall). We'd park, walk in through Kohl's, exit into the mall proper and eat at the buffet; afterwards we'd go back and stay at Kohl's for a half hour or so to see if any items caught our eye. However, now they have locked the inner door (a picture is provided, although not linked, to this review) which makes it impossible to enter the mall hallway and get to the buffet; as a result, there's no way to exit INTO Kohl's once you're done eating. As a result, we have to walk around outside and by that point, we're not in a mood to go to Kohl's, in part due to indignation. Sounds like they were tired of people using their store as a "breezeway" through to the inside of the mall, however as a result, they've lost a lot of foot traffic that also used to shop there. read more

This the cleanest and the most organized Kohls I have ever been in. It doesn't seem like it's very busy, but that was fine with me.

Kohl's runs a definite scam with returns. The nice "Kohl's cash" that is automatically given to you when you spend in excess of $50, may in turn come back to bite you. Recently, I purchase over $150 worth of product. There was a $30 cash coupon given. I was unable to utilize that coupon before the weeks long expiration date. No loss, no foul. Wrong. When I went to return $30 worth of the product as it did not fit the wife right, the Kohl's cash that I had earned was deducted from my return. Keep in mind that this was not a coupon that was redeemed. This was simply earned. So, the return was worth nothing. This is flat out a scam. I see no up front advertisement of such stating you will be docked if you return the merchandise. This is just another way for these stores to basically not be customer friendly with returns. I am for one no longer going to make my presence at this store nor any other Kohl's. read more
