TheEpicenter.com goes above and beyond in customer service. I had used my workplace address for…read moredelivery thinking it would be the most secure place, but due to the cornavirus quarantine in the bay area it had temporary closed down. TheEpicenter.com called to notify me that I had missed the first delivery attempt, while speaking to them I informed them of my situation. They took it upon them selves to make sure that an address change would go through and were very understanding of the situation. Their customer service had brighten up my mood during a time when all I have been receiving is bad news. Awesome job, keep up the great work!

I have been buying MREs from theepicenter.com for almost a decade. Living in the Bay Area I feel…read morethat I am buying a bit of insurance should the Big One hit. I store my MREs under my house where it is cool enough year round for the MREs to last at least 4 years (I eat the older stock when we go camping or bring them to work for my lunch!) So theepicenter.com has the lowest prices as far as I have seen, and they have great selection as well. They will ship your purchases by UPS, not cheap but the MREs are heavy. The staff give "taste ratings" to the various items, but the ratings are generally not accurate. I have found that if you buy items which are saucy you generally get something edible. The meat patties are usually good (taste like meat)! And some of the vegetarian stuff is pretty good, but Trader Joe's has ready-to-eat Indian food now so I don't buy as much from here anymore.

I am not what you'd call an outdoorsman, nor terribly handy with tools. My experience with hunting…read morefor gold usually involves finding an earring laying on the sand at the beach. So when I saw the Gold Rush Nugget Bucket, I was a bit dubious. My parents used to take me panning for gold the old fashioned way while I was growing up in Colorado, and what I mainly remember was freezing feet in cold rivers and a whole lot of dirt in a pan. Bad with tools plus bad memories: Never exactly a good combination. My daughter, however, was insistent. She remembered seeing it on "Shark Tank" and next thing I knew I had a new gold panning kit. It is awesome. For one thing, it's easy to use. The directions make sense and you don't have to freeze your derrière off standing in a river. It also attracts attention. Not in a bad way, like the kind you get when your picture's in the post office. No, I mean the good way, as when you roll up in front of the hotel in a sports car. Everyone wants to know what it is, and once they see how easy it is to use, they ask if they can try it out. (I do not recommend this with a sports car.) I even used it on the beach in Lincoln City, Oregon where the D River meets the ocean. I kid you not, I found some gold. Not as much as if I'd found a 14K earring, mind you. But enough to make it fun - and attract a whole lot of new friends.
