My spouse and I drove 2 hours from Portland to have his Hoyt bowstring replaced & tuned and it was absolutely worth it. The shop's team is incredibly knowledgeable and kind! They made sure not only that we had everything we needed, but also took the time to properly tune up my spouse's bow before we headed out. All in all fantastic place for archery equipment, guidance, and comradery. 5 stars aren't enough for this superb business!

My husband and I traveled from California to visit this shop based on reviews from other archery experts. Wanted to get some practice in and a lesson as well. Kayden did a great job getting me and my bow dialed in. Restrung my bow and paper tuned it. Also gave me some great tips on shooting. Highly recommend this place. Wayne, the owner, was friendly and helpful. He runs a great shop, be sure to stop in if you are in the area. Thank you for your time and expertise, Gerard.

The last time I went to this location of Big 5 was two weeks ago on September 10, 2025. I went here…read morewith my provider, Karry, because I needed to buy some new knee braces. I sprained my knees in 2002 when I was living in Baltimore, Maryland, when I was going to school at the Maryland School For The Blind. I was making my bed, when I started to turn, then I heard this pop, and I felt this pain! The nurses there told me that I actually dislocated my knee caps, so now I have to have knee braces when I walk and work out on the row machine, otherwise my knees lock up and it causes excruciating pain! The last pair of knee braces I bought in 2023 with my provider, Kendra, only lasted until this year, when the Velcro came loose and I was struggling to make them stay on my knees. Those ones were $20 a piece. This year, I bought a stronger pair of knee braces, which I really love, as they actually stabilize my knees when I walk, and I'll probably have a more comfortable experience with my workouts on the row machine. The cool thing about these new knee braces is that they have metal on either side, instead of plastic, and they're a thicker version of Neoprene. Better yet, they actually don't trap sweat like the other knee braces did! Although I will say that they're tough to slide off after wearing them for a few hours! Compared to my old pair, these ones were $55 a piece! Strangely enough, both pairs were made by the same company, Mueller Sports Medicine! The woman there unfortunately threw an L-Bomb at me and my provider (she called us "Ladies", which I hate with a passion!). I told her, "Actually, ma'am, we're girls!". Then she said it a second time, this time in a more taunting tone! That evening, I had to report her to her manager, and he called me the next day, and he said he talked with her about it, and he promises it won't happen again! He explained to me that she was new at her job, and she hadn't learned that customers need to be treated fairly, not humiliated and insulted! I give Big 5 a solid 5 stars! How about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars! When it comes to finding knee braces and other sports equipment, you guys are the best!

He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful picking out a glove, the proper size bat for softball and equipment bag that was affordable. We walk in, to be greeted by silence. Total and complete silence. I look over a rack in time to see this nerdy-looking douche staring in our direction from the cash register. We make eye contact, which is the perfect opening to greet us. Does he take it? Nope. Ok, well the Oregon Sports employees have never been famous for their customer service, no matter which location you visit. I'm in the middle of a discussion with my husband, and I hear his name yelled. Apparently he worked with our douche of an employee like a year ago. So, he's distracted. Which means I have plenty of time to wander and find things. Sadly, find things I did! We ended up spending almost $150. Apparently he was in a good mood last night and bought me everything I wanted. Lol. Failing that, he felt bad for making me go to that crappy bar I just finished reviewing. Either way I found some great Nike shirts and a hat. I'm picky about my Duck gear and wear exclusively Nike for that. I found a good selection and was impressed. Nathan found one shirt, I believe. Everything else was mine. There's a single mirror in the women's section, that's completely hidden/camouflaged, and I had to ask where it was. There's no fitting room. My only saving grace is I was wearing multiple shirts, so I can try stuff on over them if needed. I was not impressed by this though. So douche (I forget his name, as he's not important enough to remember) previously worked with my husband. There was some sort of personality conflict between him and the managers. Somehow after listening to him, I could see why. Customer service is huge in my husband's job. This guy fit in far better at Oregon Sports, where he wasn't required to have any customer service skills. I was impressed by the selection in this store, although small and cramped, it deserves 3-4 stars. The customer service is a 1 star shit show. So that's why it gets 2 stars. Will I return? Probably, but not in the near future. My husband already paid a small fortune for his whim. I doubt he'll be excited to let me in there loose again. Lol.

After reading a few of these reviews..I thought I'd chime in..I've been to this location a handful…read moreof times. Always have a great selection of adult items..I always overspend ;). But, on this particular day I was in search of gear for my little one Kash who was a little over a year and a half..this kid loves "Ducks" and any SPORTS ball in general!!! He's a FANATIC and I love it!! But, the young girl working there that day was not a fan! We had the store literally to ourselves and my son for a year and a half is very well behaved..but there's BALLS and DUCKS EVERYWHERE within his reach. So he wants to play with all of it at one time!! LOL!! He was in heaven!! Like I said, we had the store to ourselves. It was a ghost town there that day and it happened to be an away game (TV) that day..Back on topic. So, my original goal was to find gear for him. He spotted a duck hat in his size immediately and put it on backwards (never wearing a hat before in his young life) kid amazes me! Next to that are clothes mostly for girls it felt..or unisex..I just didn't see what I was looking for in his size..I asked the girl if I was just not seeing "little kid or boy stuff" at this point she was already irritated that my son was playing with every ball in sight..I was letting him have fun since we were the ONLY ones in the store! She begrudgingly said it's "all in this area" and most is unisex..I had accumulated a small pile of items on the counter while picking up ball after ball repeatedly..so I figured I'd BUY a set of mini Duck ones they had so she would be less irritated with him..It didn't work..so I carried him around vs...hearing her complain..by the time I had picked out about $300 in items I was so stressed out about her annoyance with my sports crazed son..I was ready to leave! Would I go back? Yes, they have great stuff there! Will I "not take my son" next time? HELL NO! Just because you hate your job or kids? I'm not killing the EMENSE JOY my son has for (the) Ducks or Sports! Btw, the items little ones can reach near the floor are dusty and full of cobwebs!!
