I don't image the sell much of anything they only had two or three guns on display and they sure weren't offering you to look at em any further. Not the feeling I was looking for. My rating is just random meaning neither negative nor positive. I have no experience with this firm, but I am writing regarding a video about the business. A video on Youtube made at this location indicated that the store offered great service and competitive pricing and has an online presence. Since I frequently purchase firearms, parts, ammo, and other accessories online, I decided to take a look. The "online presence" to me means listing products for sale, price, shipping, and a facility to accept payment. This site offered none of the above. My comment is that factual information would have saved me the trouble. I realize that this is really trivial, but I thought it deserved mentioning. I took the Concealed Carry Permit class yesterday, 3-28-21. What a great experience! Raye is a knowledgeable and personable instructor, and the classroom portion of the training (About 5 hours) is thorough and even entertaining. Raye keeps it moving, covering all aspects of concealed carry issues and keeps the group involved with thought problems and humorous anecdotes. After the classroom portion we all went to the range to fire 100 rounds. Some people didn't have a pistol--no problem, Raye and his crew will supply a loaner and ammunition as well! The range fire portion was exceptionally well done--with small class sizes there is ample time for individual coaching. About half our class were women, a couple of whom clearly were novice shooters--no matter, Raye and Troy were unfailingly helpful and encouraging. An older lady, very clearly inexperienced, was shooting on my right side at the range, using one of Raye's loaner .380's. At first she was flinching with every shot and made a few rookie mistakes, such as inadvertently dropping her pistol's magazine.Raye, and especially Troy, stood with her and patiently coached and encouraged her--by the end of the shoot she was much more confident and shooting like she'd been doing it her whole life. The class is only $75.00 and worth every penny and more--try getting that kind of individualized attention and instruction anywhere else for that money--and it was FUN! Thanks Raye and Troy, I will be a better, more effective and safer pistol shooter due to this experience. Wish I could give more than 5 stars. read more

Raye Gunter (owner) of EVA is cool cat, knows his business (from Class III to manufacturing and repair) is honest as hell and a Vet, too. Support Raye with your business and you will be pleased with the quality and capabilities of his service. For all you enthusiasts in Portland or elsewhere, make the drive as it is well worth the little extra effort for a quality experience, and even if you don't buy something, meeting his 180 pound Great Dane is more than worth the effort.
