I've been a member for almost a year now, and have been treated poorly on every occasion I've been in to use the range(s). Unfortunately only one or two of the arsenal staff have customer service experience, and the others exhibit a negative attitude toward many members and non-members. The dirty looks, rude comments, and negative vibes are enough now, to make me look for somewhere else to take my business. It doesn't matter if you ask if there's anything wrong, lodge a complaint, or email the management, it will be ignored. Bad employee behavior is tolerated here. It's quite sad.

Still awesome. I went back for a second time with my daughter to shoot off some rounds. We are no experts when it comes to guns so it is so great having people at NorthWest Arsenal that will show us the ropes. They are always kind an patient with us as we learn to shoot in their indoor range. If you haven't gone here yet you are missing out. Thank you NorthWest Arsenal!

I do travel a bit and have the ability to take advantage of 5 outdoor and 4 indoor ranges including this one. They all have different rules and personalities along with different strengths and weaknesses. I am struggling between a 2 and 3 star rating for various reasons but will give benefit of the doubt for a 3 star due to the nature of the actual ranges. I do visit others with less resources and farther away more frequently. I have left reviews of this specific range in the past and felt like leaving another after visiting the public use portion of the range a couple of days in a row and it being post COVID for the most part. I decided not to renew my membership at this range this year for various reasons including the ability to zero rifles at the public range for $10 still. I still believe the public range is a good starting place for very new shooters since there is a lot of supervision and willingness to give pointers by the hard working volunteers. I also believe it is a good place to zero a hunting rifle or visit prior to hunting season for a once a year check or if you are an avid paper puncher/bench person. The member side has a lot of assets and there is hardly ever anyone else using them except for a group shoot every now and again. I do find it odd that such nice resources go so underutilized in an era of waiting lists and such at other ranges I am familiar with, but it is an advantage to being a member if you like the ability to shoot at ranges without much competition for range space. Btw it is also a requirement to be an NRA member to be a member of the shooting club and I believe it is best to hang out with a long term member for a bit if you do join. Just my 2 cents and be safe and responsible out there! Cheers

Getting cold outside? There's almost always a fire going in the clubhouse. Very well priced for a very clean range. I highly recommend checking it out for yourself.

Whether it's the lack of knowledge or care in customer service. I've stopped going to big chains now and have fully given these guys my business. Aside from the occasional ammo pickup but, besides during this whole fiasco, Mazama usually has all the ammo I could ever need. They've always been super helpful and really knowledgeable. And they always had what I'm looking for. Looking forward to fishing time and seeing what else they've got to offer. From what I've seen, they look like they could have just about anything I could ever need in regards to fishing as well so we'll see! Also, just found out that I can come in and work on my AR there and they would help me out as well. So looking forward to doing that too! Thank you for all you guys do and thank you for staying open to supply us during this time. The sales staff is... mediocre. They mostly stand around talking bullshit to one another and occasionally helping customers. Sometimes they know what they're talking about. Sometimes they don't. I've literally heard one of them suggesting that murder of politicians is a solution for political issues but I'm sure they were just kidding; also, please sign their petitions if murder isn't your thing. I count on needing to do my own research and go into the store knowing what I'm looking for, because they're not always as well-informed as they appear. The salesman selling you a silencer doesn't know that a Form 3 is. $100 transfer fee for NFA items not purchased from SilencerShop/Mazama website is expensive but hey, that's just the price we pay for getting cool shit.

I called Ruger several times to confirm his words. Ruger mentioned they had not received the rifle in for repair and they had never heard of this shop. They added that his shop was not registered as an FFL to do business with them. When I called him numerous times out of concern to discuss this, he did not return a single message. When I went to pick the rifle up, he told me it was repaired. He lied to me again. When I got back to the house, it was apparent that nothing had been repaired and it was never sent to Ruger. If he could not perform the service or just flat out didn't want to work with me, he should have said so instead of wasting valuable time. I have been looking for ways to do business locally but he has no stock just mostly used firearms. Most ppl would like to handle a firearm before purchase. He can order it for you though. I dislike writing reviews like this but feel ppl need to know of this experience. As my partner and I are both firearms instructors, we will be sure to advise people of more reputable and dependable shops (Mazama's) in the future.

For an outdoor state, with lots of hunting, I've found a rather large dearth of good, outdoor…read moreranges. Plenty of indoor ones which, I suppose, makes sense due to the wet weather. But honestly, I want rough terrain, the ability to move about and shoot at different elevations, and the flexibility to set up tactical scenarios. The Albany Rifle and Pistol Club achieves all this and more. I was able to spend a day shooting here with some co-workers and, although I had toured previously, this was the first chance I got to actually use the facilities. The set-up is definitely intended for police, military, and experienced shooters. Not to say that they wouldn't welcome new and learning shooters, but I strongly, STRONGLY suggest that if you are new to the sport/defense, you have someone experienced with you if you come here. I didn't shoot on any of the indoor benches or the skeet shoot or rifle ranges, but instead headed up with the guys to the North tactical ranges. Twelve different shooting bays are stationed around a small hill, and it's first come/first served. We were able to snag a range all the way at the end, load up some barrels, and set up our targets. We spent a good day shooting, without any distractions from other shooters and without having to wait for the firing line to clear so that we could reset targets. There are a number of range rules, but rangemasters are not present on each range, so it's up to you to be safe. I prefer this, myself. The price is a little high, especially upon initial enrollment, but the price goes down from there. There are also incentives for members of law enforcement and there are a number of classes and events that are hosted here. An excellent place to go shoot in the Willamette Valley, definitely.
