My favorite section of this store is the clearance section, as they are always 50-80% off the retail price. So I've found $40 items for like $5. I've bought a bunch of shirts and sweaters on clearance here. The home section is good too. I've bought some cool kitchen stuff in here, candles, holiday decorations, and more. I'm typically not a huge fan of the shoe section. Just because I never find anything I can't live without there. My husband loves to check out their section of Oregon Duck gear. The store is always clean. That's never a problem. The racks could be spaced apart a little farther, as it seems claustrophobic at times. That's honestly my biggest complaint. Employees are a bit scarce as well. I never see any unless they are at the cash registers. So if you need something, good luck finding someone. They keep the metal pole things to get stuff off high racks stashed around the store, and you're never too far from one. So you just have to look for them. I know this, so I never have a problem with it. But if you're not familiar with where they are, finding someone to help you reach something can be frustrating and annoying. Being short, this is always a problem for me. The cashiers are so-so. They push the credit card thing really hard. I would presume it has something to do with how their performance is evaluated or something big, so they are required to push it. Sometimes they can be downright rude and hostile if you don't want their card. They ask, I give an excuse, they argue. Pull another excuse, another argument, followed by them trying to convince you, bla bla bla. Finally by the time you are agitated enough to snap at them, they back off. But they will harass you until you get pissed enough to yell at them over it. This is the worst part of the experience, and what keeps it at 3 stars. The store and the sales are worth 4 stars, but the cashiers who push the credit cards is what keeps it at 3 stars. I really wish they weren't required to be so pushy about it, and make it a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, it's not. If I could do self checkout, it would totally make 4 stars. Lol. I will definitely keep returning to this store to buy home decorations, clearance items, Duck gear for my husband, and much more.

When I arrived at the store they told me the pants had to be sent to the tailor. Why the buttons were not sewn on the week they sat in the store I do not know. I told them they must pay me for my time and gas to drive to the store and back and they needed to deliver the pants to my house. They looked at me like I was a dumb ass so I increased my volume and got into their grill. Another sales associate said they could put the buttons on in 30 minutes and asked me to go buy a coffee (I don't drink coffee). Back in my younger days Men's Warehouse was great place to shop. The sales persons treated you like royalty and the tailors were in store and professional. This will be my last transaction with Men's Warehouse. They are a bunch of dumb **ses.

For work I had been forced to wear khaki's as part of the my job attire and I had continued to wear them out of habit for a couple years afterwards. I literally owned one pair of jeans I had purchased at Walmart and decided to see what The Buckle had to offer. The irony of a guy named Jake wearing khakis for years was not lost on me (or any of my customers, apparently). My date and I were immediately greeted as we entered the store. We walked up to the front counter to talk to the woman standing there and one of the guys on the floor walked over to listen to why we were there. It wasn't that busy, so we got the attention of both. We explained that I was in dire need of some jeans and the guy on the floor was quick to offer me some suggestions. They have a neat jeans breakdown near the front counter that explains the differences in the cuts on the jeans (I noticed it the 2nd time I was in there). Instead, the guy grabbed a few choices and ushered me into the changing room. Now, I've got to say something about these jeans. One of them is branded as Jake jeans. That sounds perfect for me, right? Well, those are cut very narrow in the groin area. My junk wouldn't fit into these jeans! I dunno who this "Jake" guy is that these are modeled after, but he is giving Jakes everywhere a bad name and starting rumors that we all have small junk! Okay, side rant over. I ended up finding a style of jeans that both my date and the guy helping agreed looked good on me (I'm a terrible judge of that). I've gotten so many compliments on how my butt looks in these jeans it is almost comical. Every woman I meet seems to love them! That being the case, I went in a while later and spoke to a different woman at the front counter who was kind enough to show me their website so I could choose some different colors of the same kind of jeans. These aren't terribly cheap. Coming from someone who only ever had a pair of Walmart jeans, these were far more expensive (around $80). Still, I can't put a price on how well received these look on me. The guy helping us was spot on! I don't walk by the part of VRC very often, but if he is working again, I will definitely stop in to see what else he can do to help out my wardrobe. Oh, and later on, the wonderful woman I was dating ordered me some of their clothes. We stopped seeing each other before I even got them. I spoke to their customer service and they charged a $5 fee, but agreed to take them back AND send me the return label to do so (so the $5 was a partial freight payment, but these would have Buckle twice that to send back). Great customer service all around from the store to their website ordering customer service. I will be back!

The first floor is apparel and gifts, stuffed animals, that sort of thing. You'll find stuff for your game day experience down here, like your duck lips and stuff. The second floor is generally where the textbooks and school supplies are housed, so between terms it's pretty sparse up there. Kids stuff, clearance items, and women's apparel is upstairs as well. Parking is on the street only but it's really weird--I have never seen anything so strange for parking, I don't think. They've changed 13th here to diagonal parking, but it's diagonal that requires you to back into the spot. Why didn't they make them diagonal the other direction (or even better, straight spots so they could get another space or two)? It's paid parking so either download the app or look for the parking box.

Sheryl helped me start the return and Sandy helped finish it. Appreciated that they were women of my generation who knew the clothing, understood the importance of fit, and could make suggestions about styles based on what was in the store. They also gave the all important head's up that this week had started a 50% discount off sale prices. Which of course changes everything. Suddenly a quick trip turned into a bit of a browse. And as with all good treasure hunts: found a beautiful one of a kind feeling piece, as well as an important basic to expand the winter wardrobe... except, because they were also carrying "petites" everything also fit perfectly -- like actually fit my natural frame, no alterations needed. The sleeves were the right length on the jacket. The waist hit the right place. It was an instant "yes!" And the denim skirt was a little stretchy with a little Give and it looked tailored and smart enough to wear for casual work. All on 50% sale. Helpfully there was lots of free lot parking, and the kind of vibe outside, in the shopping center courtyard -- which included tables and chairs -- for comfortable waiting. The holiday decorations were up and it was a really festive vibe. A great place for women of a certain age to find items that actually fit non-model bodies comfortably, styles that are timeless, the price was unbeatable, and the service was attentive and thoughtful.

I received a check from them for $25 so I went in to the store yesterday. The sales racks were completely empty. The clerk said they send the summer things back. I thought I would use it for socks after that but there was a sign that was not allowed! I walked out, crumpled my check & tossed it in the trash! I guess J Jill is now my favorite store. Their catalog had lots of good items!
