I am impressed by the employees in this store! One thing I've noticed in both Zumiez stores I've been in recently is the high quality of their customer service from store employees. I bought my husband a Volcom shirt when I was at the Zumiez in Albany a couple weeks ago. I finally got him to wear it yesterday, and it looked amazing. Since we were making a trip to buy him new clothes anyway, I decided we needed to wander by Zumiez in Eugene as well. We were greeted almost as soon as we were in the door, and the employee asked us if we were looking for anything specific. I pointed at my husband's shirt and said something along this same line. So he takes us over to a shelf and leaves us to browse. I found a couple that were the exact same style, just a different color. Hubby wasn't sure about one, so I said try it on and see about the color on you. Another employee comes to help us, and I said I'm looking at Volcom shirts for Nathan. He goes over to the buy one, get one half off section, and brings 4 over in Nathan's size. I love a good sale, so this is awesome. I found 3 of them that I liked. But, the sale didn't include buying a regular item at full price for another half off. But, what got me was that they were willing to bend the rules so we got 2 shirts for half off, and two at full price, because I had found 3 that he brought over, and I wanted the first one I found as well, which wasn't off that rack. Their commitment to customer service and being willing to make that sale happen so we got all the shirts we wanted was great. I specifically said that as well to both employees, and they were happy about it. That kind of service is what will bring me back more often. The attention to finding exactly what we are looking for, the hooking us up with the sale, the friendly attitudes, it was all perfect. I've shopped at this store for years, but it had been quite a while since I had been in. I know that when it's time to buy my husband more shirts (which seems like all the damn time) I will be coming here first. read more

My teenage son and I went in to find pants and tees for him at the Zumiez in Valley River Center, Eugene, OR. It was near the end of the Memorial Weekend sale, and finding his size was tough. Violet went above and beyond to help us find items in the brands and color ways he liked. While he tried on the initial finds, Violet showed me results on the Zumiez website, offered to have items shipped to our house, led me to items in the store we hadn't found, and was pleasant, kind, and professional throughout. She helped us figure out how to best use the Buy One Get One 50% Off sale, and signed me up to receive future deals. Violet made our third stop in the mall the best by miles, and saved the day with her attention, patience, and enthusiasm! read more

I had gone here with my sisters and we were just looking around, we each tried on a hat and the worker claimed "we were making a mess and that we should just leave the store". I was horrified at her response. I quickly grabbed my sisters and left. I was in disbelief at the customer service. I would not go here again and I suggest you don't either! read more

I just wanted to update my review, I still stand by my 5 star at this store. I have been going here for years buying my boys their clothes, shoe's, and socks. My middle son is very picky and when I stop in and Taylor is working she is my savior! She can usually help me pick out based on what she remembers about my boys personalities. He will wear what she picks out but not what I do most of the time. The clothes here are quality made because my boys are pretty hard on them and it takes a lot before they need replaced. read more

Clothes are not organized all an are covered in dust and other dirt the hats are either creased up, dirty, or damaged in some way. This store needs to clean reorganize and replace a lot of their inventory this is by far the worst example of a zumiez ive come across read more

Cool store, great selection of skater vibe apparel, boards, stickers, socks, beanies, etc. All the employees were super friendly but didn't bother me trying to sell me stuff, just asked if I needed help with anything and pointed out sale items. I would say I bothered them more (haha). Had a nice convo with Jevin and he helped me out with the names & locations of all the skateparks in the area (I haven't lived here in more than 30 years so i had no idea plus I don't skate). My daughter and her skater friends will be here next summer so i want to get some vids for them. Jevin is an awesome resource! Very cool staff, all 3 of them. I picked up some early Christmas gifts and will definitely shop there again next time I come to town :) read more

I went into Zumiez at Valley River Mall in Eugene today to make an exchange on a pair of new shoes that I had ordered online. I noticed when I opened up the package that the shoes looked slightly worn, but didn't give it much thought since I needed to return them for a smaller size. I decided to drive to Eugene and make the exchange in person rather then to mail them back. What a shock when the store manager, Josie, refused to exchange the shoes because she said they had been worn. I said, not true they were never worn. Josie was very defensive, rude, condescending and all but called me a liar. I then asked to speak with a manager. Josie said she was the manager. I asked to speak with someone in a higher position then her. Josie said she was it, there was no higher manager at that store. She then said, she was done with me and thanked me for coming in and turned her back on me and walked away. In 50 years of shopping I have never encountered anyone as belligerent and rude as Josie. If she's the best Zumiez's can hire to manage their store then this store is in trouble. For me, I will NEVER shop there again especially when there are 6 other stores at that mall that sell Van's. read more

This place is simply the best!! Every time I go in there to buy my son his clothes, socks, shoes... whatever.... everyone stops what they are doing and they go above and beyond to help me. It's awesome since I know nothing about skateboard apparel. They always know exactly what to steer me towards and my son has never been disappointed with my choices. The people who work at the zumies at valley river are so annoying that I can no longer shop here. You can't even enter the store with out playing 20 questions with at least 3 employees. They follow you around so much that you can't even focus on the clothing because you're thinking to yourself "please shut the hell up!". The clothes are nice, but not worth the annoyance! read more
