it's hard to give a review on this one time because i think my waitress wasnt the best (actually i know she wasnt). I ordered coffee and waited forever, I had to flag another server down to get it. I guess i didnt realize they were brewing me my own little pot but she could have told me that. Instead i ordered my coffee and for 15 minutes never saw her again. Same with food. I ordered the breakfast burrito. It was tasty but wasn't very hot when she brought it. seemed like it sat under a heat lamp for a while. So...what can i say. We had their Eggs Benny, California and traditional, and it was so good! I think one thing it was lacking was not using the traditional Canadian ham. We ordered takeout from them via DoorDash and everything came on time and in a specially sealed plastic bag that was the most Covid-friendly packaging I've seen to date. I've been thinking of trying The Delectable Egg for some time and finally stopped in this morning. I wanted to like this place, it's close to work, the prices seemed reasonable and it's been here for a while. Unfortunately, this isn't anything memorable...it reminded me of a Denny's from 1995. When I'm not in love with something, I don't see much benefit to spending too much time with a lengthy review. So, let me give you the basic breakdown here. Pros My daughter and I were seated promptly and the host was friendly. The kids menu has a decent selection and my kiddos breakfast was only $4...plus the cost of a chocolate milk (Roughly $7) Cons I ordered a Denver Omelette and the "ingredients" were all placed on the top, with the exception of one piece of cheese placed inside the omelette. Half my potatoes (placed on the bottom of the serving) were charred and inedible. Our waiter was sitting at the table right next to us, eating his own breakfast. Doesn't give off the impression he can actually be attentive to the customers. In fact, he "checked" on us once, and that's when he brought the check. Maybe I need to try them again and order a skillet. Maybe I need to just avoid them in the future and enjoy one of the many other breakfast establishments in the area. I got there at 10:30 on a Saturday morning and there was a short wait of less than 10 minutes. I've seen other reviews panning the decor as dated but I didn't go there for the decor! The menu is substantial...everything from pancakes and waffles to biscuits and gravy to omelettes, frittatas and croissants. I chose Ken's Criossant, found under "Special Specials"...a large croissant stuffed with cheddar cheese, eggs, spinach, bacon, ham, sausage and just the right amount of hollandaise. Complete lack of service. I flew into town and wanted a simple, signature Denver omelette. This location was very convenient to the Sheraton Downtown Hotel, within easy walking distance. I waited upwards towards 15 minutes to be greeted by my waiter before my patience ran out. I walked to the host and asked him to take my order. He apologized for the slow service, insisting my waiter was somehow busy taking a cocktail order from another table(?). Twenty minutes go by, and a woman (who I assume was supposed to be my waitress) brings me a cold Denver omelette. Donzo. I put on my jacket and left. There are tons of restaurants in the immediate vacinity and I'm not going to eat cold eggs. If they don't want my business, I can take a hint. The menu is huge, so there should be something for everyone here, whether it be for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Prices are super reasonable, which is a big plus in my book. Big meal for little dollars? Yes please. Every time that I come, the staff is friendly and lovely. They will make sure that your table has enough coffee to go around (keep that caffeine coming!). Sometimes, the service is a little slow, but it's a big restaurant so it's understandable. There typically isn't too much of a wait (even if you come in with a large group, as I used to do with my coworkers). Your typical breakfast diner... I'm sure there are some good things on the menu, but do not order the stuffed French toast. Sounds great on paper, but I received the mushiest slop of messy bread. The middle slice of "French toast" was literally just bread that quickly absorbed the melted cream cheese and literally turned into a pile of mush. It was inedible. It was overall a disappointing experience. I came here yesterday for breakfast too and ordered a Denver omelette, which was just ok. Instead of the veggies and cheese being cooked inside the omelette. Only some peppers were cooked inside and the cheese was melted on top with a slice of ham over the top of it as well. When I get an omelette I want everything to be mixed inside with melted cheese. It was just strange, hence ordering a different breakfast this morning which was just bad. Overall, the restaurant is just meh. Will I return? Ehh probably, because other than Starbucks around the corner there's really no other breakfast spots nearby. I really didn't Waac to rate this place but it truly was a disappointment. I've been told from friendds they make a good Eggs Benedict. I ordered some kinda skillet that had angus hamburger meat, eggs, and hash browns with breakfast gravy on top. I requested that my eggs would be over easy and extra crispy hash browns. I didn't get either one. My eggs were over cooked and the hash browns were very soft. The angus burgees was odd to put in a breakfast skillet and the breakfast gravy was a mess. I do appreciate the server that gave me my table. She saw little I ate and offered me a new meal or a refund but I don't go for that kinda stuff, I go so maybe they can solve the problems in hopes of better recipes and services read more

Wow, how does this place have lines?!?!? I came here after the Rock n Roll Denver half. There were people waiting to be seated, and we asked how long. The hostess told us 15 minutes... which turned into 40. Seriously, we were about to walk out when she called us and I think we would have been better off if we had. First of all, while I am no expert in how to run a restaurant, you could just tell this place was so poorly run. Tables sat a long time before being bused, which is probably why the wait was so long. Our waitress was really nice, but appeared to be THE ONLY WAITRESS for the whole restaurant. There were others running food out, but that was it. My food was OK, but even if it wasn't, it wouldn't have mattered because NO ONE CAME BACK TO CHECK. My friend loved his. When our waitress finally came back, she tried to sell us on desserts, but by then, we really had to go, and I asked for the check. I had to ask a second time because we still didn't have it, and by now we were running behind schedule to get ready and catch flights home. I felt bad for the waitress (again, I really think she was the only one), so I gave her a full tip. When we went to pay at the hostess stand, she asked how things were and I said "just OK." One would think that might be an opening to follow up, try and make things right... nope! Sorry Delectable Egg, not only were you not delectable, there are too many other places around for me to bother coming back to somewhere that clearly doesn't care. read more
